How to spot, avoid and defend yourself against the recent flood of scams and frauds directly affecting the iGaming scene.
Every scam casino claims to be licensed. They'll plaster logos at the bottom of their website, throw around official-sounding license numbers, and reference jurisdictions you've never heard of. It looks legitimate. It sounds legitimate. But is it?
Spoiler: usually not.
Legitimate operators are required by their regulators to display a live, hyperlinked logo that takes you directly to...

You think you're playing at Parimatch. You've heard of them; they're a big brand, you've seen their ads. You type "Parimatch" into Google, click the first result, and start playing. Everything looks right — same logo, same layout, same games.
Except it's not Parimatch. It's a sophisticated clone designed to steal your money. And the only clue? The URL.
Here's how the scam works: Scammers know you're looking for established casino brands. So they create pixel-perfect...

Something disturbing is emerging in the online gambling world: a new breed of scam casino that makes traditional rogue operations look almost respectable. We call them "Black Hole Casinos" — sites that swallow your money and vanish into the void, leaving no trace and no recourse for players who've been robbed.
Traditional rogue casinos might slow-pay you, make excuses, or hide behind Terms and Conditions to avoid paying out. Black Hole Casinos don't bother with any of that. They just take your money and...

One of the great things about working in the player complaints area is that we get to see fairly early on what new scams and trickery players are being subjected to. And so it is we have a new scam to bring to our reader’s attention:
If a casino tells you you’ve won a shedload of money — millions in many cases — and asks you to make a deposit to “release” or “unlock” your winnings, or “verify” your identity, are you being scammed?
We’re seeing a lot of this lately and the answer is simple: if the requested amount is anything more than £$€10-20 then the answer is likely “yes, you are...

Fraud Alert Thread 'Parimatch brand fakery floods Asia'
In the last couple of months we have seen a huge spike in fraud and fakery surrounding the Parimatch brand, and Parimatch India in particular. At first it was a bunch of pseudo-Parimatch sites that players were getting duped into using but now it seems to have gone well past that:
- players are somehow being redirected to completely bogus and fake Parimatch clones.
- some of the clone sites are VERY sophisticated, completely mirroring the original Parimatch site right down to the contact emails and Chat.
- things are so bad that Parimatch.com is now providing a database of fake and...

GENERAL WARNING Thread 'Yay, I won a million! Sadly, no, you didn't.'
It seems like the casino industry is undergoing a serious backslide into the bad old days of rampant scams, fakery, and fraud being dished out to players. In just the past year, we've reported on: fake Casinomeister accounts on Skype and Telegram; the "pay to withdraw" scam; the "casino spoofing" fake-site ripoffs; and widespread account hacking across the iGaming space. It's not been a good year for player safety and that's having a detrimental effect on the industry as a whole.
Our purpose here today is to bring attention the fact that many of the problems...

Reports of hacked casino accounts are very much on the rise. We are regularly hearing stories here on the forum and via our Complaints (PAB) service of online casino accounts being hacked. Accounts are accessed by the hackers to steal player balances via redirected withdrawals. While some such claims may be attempts by disgruntled players to recover lost balances, multiple operators have confirmed a huge spike in genuine hacks and compromised casino accounts. As one operator recently said to us:
"what players don't understand is that these are professional hackers. It...

Fraud Alert Thread 'Bait and Switch like it was 2005'
We’re sorry to have to announce that there is a major scam in progress on the iGaming scene and players are being caught up in like little fishies in big, bad net.
The problem is that good casinos — or at least legitimate casinos — are being spoofed all over the place and there is not much being done to stop it.
Imagine that you are a player well familiar with MyBestCasino. That’s just a name I’ve made up but it...
to spoof, v.: to create a fake site using the name and/or branding of a well-known website, or a variation thereof, to pose as the real thing and scam players

Official Thread 'Why is AI bad for my PAB?'
In Brief: Why using AI chatbots (Large Language Models, or LLMs) to write your PAB submission is not a good idea:
Imagine, if you will...
20 people are out there right now preparing their PAB submissions:
Everyone comes to the point in the submission form where they need to enter a description of...
- chatbot submissions all read/sound the same
- they are bloated, generic and self-contradictory -- a waste of everyone's time
- they are delusional, rudely demanding and unrealistic
- only good point: can be helpful if you need help translating into English
