It's a Hell of a lot more work than anyone could possibly realize (but for those having gone through it) and the golden years are long, long past
Not saying you couldn't scrape through and make a run of it and drop some dollars into your pocket - should you do everything right
But the devotion needed alone can be off-putting

My advice would be to find something else to do. The affiliate landscape has dramatically changed in the past few years. Unless you have deep, deep pockets for link buying (yes, in 2021 it's still a thing), and a massively linked network, you'll be lucky to get off the ground.

Gone are the days of creating some awesome website that can serve some sort of purpose - no one cares. Affiliate managers will only deal with you if you are bringing in bucket loads of players, other than that, that's about it.

The days of webmaster ingenuity and creativity are pretty much gone. I would like to be proven wrong here, but there ya go.

Good luck. I'm interested to hear the plans you have. No doubt you've done your research and have decided on your target audience and choice of content topic(s)/ niche? Of your previous experience, what is relevant to online marketing?

Cash-Magnet-Aff... Well I admire the optimism of your forum name! :D

It's already been said above - you missed the boat by several years :(
The only way you can get very rich as an affiliate, is if you are already very rich when you start!

Speaking as a former iGaming affiliate of some 15 years, best of luck as you will need it. Even with contacts galore with the companies you have worked for and with in the past, pure networking alone is unlikely to make it a full time success, unlike ten years ago or more.

If you do find an untapped niche that has of yet not been exploited by others, you may stand a chance. Otherwise as Casinomeister has said above, deep pockets you will need.

Once you do get your site off the ground though, let us all know what it is and look at getting listed here: Webmeister Websites
