Casino Rama, (We deal excitement errr sometimes) :P

It's not Rama but checked out the new Wasaga Beach casino today, very tiny so don't make a special trip but if you're in the area then it might be o.k., defo do not want to be there on a busy day. Started winning right away, slotmaster! Got up on the first machine and walked around on those winnings for 2 hours! Then it started going badly, put that back in and could not hit anything and went back to the first machine as winding down the day and ready to leave and BAM! hit a good spin of $220 to get me up to almost $400!

Cashed out at $320 and left to end up slightly ahead. :) Machines were defo set to a higher RTP but come tourist season I can see them tightening the machines.

Only 200 and some odd machines and it has to be the smallest casino in Ontario be aware it opens at 10 a.m. and you can't get in the building before then as the casino is pretty much right there when you enter.

I was excited about this casino being built as I go to Wasaga Beach every summer but it doesn't sound like anything special. I didn't even know it was open yet. I know the original plan was for a bigger casino then during the pandemic there were changes to make it smaller. Not sure the reason for this but who knows maybe there's room for expansion if it does well.

Is it not closer to Blue Mountain than downtown Wasaga Beach? I was really hoping they were going to build it near beach 1.

Hanover about 2 1/2 hrs North of Toronto has a small casino and race track they have around 280 slots. It's nice and all but no energy and the slots have been tight as long as I have been going. I go up that way every other month to see mom and we stop in there for some slot play and to eat. Been doing this for 3 years and never once had a profit win. Bonuses are next to nothing and when I do get a bonus its usually 2 or 3x bet. A big turn-off. Gateway has ruined a lot of great casinos.

Ya they said they will expand if it does well and they got the land to do so. Actually it is right by downtown Wasaga Beach as could have gone that way to get home.:)

Went to rama yesterday, they raised the price of Breakfast again at the weirs, lol but it was alright as usual, it was a little more busy, and lots of cars at the hotel across the street and the casino hotel.

Oddly it was the same as Wasaga Beach, won right away and on the very first spin! Walked around 2-3 hours on that and also won the major on Tarzan! Only at $125 though :(, but everytime I hit something I went back down. Was ahead all the way till the end again when started to not able to hit anything and put some money back in but was ready to leave at that time anyway. Only cost me $100 to play for 4 hours and it was an o.k. day so am content. :)

Since not received a free room offer at Rama anymore I have no reason to go. Too far but maybe a weekend in the summer to get out of Toronto.
Would be interesting in how many loyal players they lost due to management and poor comp offers.

I was at Ajax Downs casino Sunday. I actually like the place. Small but not near as small as some like Hanover and Wasaga beach. Was busy and a good atmosphere and even had a bit of luck playing Buffalo.

Has anyone been to the new Pickering casino? It's been over a year since I've been and like Rama have no intention of going back. For a new casino, it really does not feel like a casino, more like a warehouse or Walmart.

I read the new casino at Woodbine is to open this year with 5000 plus slot machines. Looking forward to this one but am not happy about who manages it. Also, they are to have their own Go Train stop which will be awesome as it takes forever to get there from downtown taking transit. This was a vision Rob ford was pushing for but got struct down but John Tory brought it back. Still would be nice to see a casino in the the down town area of Toronto.

Totally forgot about Pickering until they were in the news recently, lol Would like to go check it out, maybe on my week off in June. Actually was going to be Woodbine if not Wasaga Beach but driving in Toronto is not my thing, but would be o.k. seeing the new Woodbine as well.

Ya, the offers from Rama are no more, like nothing. So pretty much all those cars yesterday paid for the hotel which was surprised by how many cars there were. They need to bring back offers for meals and hotel for sure and think lots are not going to Rama for that reason, even us we cut way back, like this was first trip in 4-6 months for Rama.

My favourite to go to is Fallsview. They too have cut back on offers but I think it's the nicest of them all and they are managed by Mohegan Sun. I like taking the Go-train from union station and on weekends you can get an unlimited weekend pass for $15.

Looks like they are finally listening as been told they are giving some free rooms again to certain players, I have not gotten an email yet, lol. They are giving weekly cashback again and back to pre-COVID reward amounts for me. Still no free meals or concert tickets but at least a start.

But I actually got a girlfriend now who is in Oshawa so I am going to Pickering casino, got a $10 free for getting a players card, lol. Very tough to win there so far, got a good selection of slots just hard to win. Got up to $180 on a Buffalo version that has a train so got some money back last week right at the end, was down to my last $6 in balance and got a buffalo hit for $120 which is what I cashed out.

So I am more down in that area now. :)
