True story. When the one in Brantford open. I had never been to it for 3 ish years, had no desire. Never bought scratch tickets, gambled. or anything along that line. I was on the 11-7 shift and it was maybe the year 2001. I finished my shift, all I had on were scrubs and a very tiny purse. The kids were at home sleeping. My daughter was 16 at the time and son 11. I had 75 dollars in my purse and my cell phone. I decided I was going to go and check it out before I went home. Not knowing what the heck I was doing. I deposited 20 dollars and cashed out 60, went to another machine and put 40 in and cashed out 200. Every machine I went on, i was setting the jackpot off. I was losing it! I would sit down, put my phone in the tray incase daughter called. Deposit money and tada! I was shoving money in my purse, bra, socks, shoes. Finally on one machine ( an hour had gone by) two men in suits came up asking if I was having fun. I said yes, and asked if I was in trouble? They asked to see my phone, so I gave it them. They checked it out, handed it back, and said maybe it was time to go home. So I did. I got home just before 9. Counted all the money. Just a little over 9k. Kids got to stay home that day
I went back that night and there was a big sign in the front stating ? No electronic devices on the gaming floor and all cells must be turned off".
