Casino Operators Beware: AKA23

I did have a look at the current offers, and they are indeed "crap", especially for me as a Brit. The 25x slots playthrough & non-cashable nature make it better to play without the SUB, although it might be worth using the SUB to chase down a progressive.

The 25x playthrough requirements for UK residents was an advice from Playtech when we first setups the bonus strategy for our casino it might well need a review. To me it does not really make sense anymore, except maybe that UK players are a lot more talented than others  The main purpose was surely to discourage bonus lovers, advantage players to hit us even harder.

Do you think lowering it to our standard 12x WR would do any good?

Thanks a lot for taking the time to review our bonuses and giving your opinion. I really appreciate it!

Bonus lovers can hit a casino in a unbelievable way within a very short time, this due to the fact than when a player find a mathematical way to risk none of his own cash and turn a negative hedge to a positive by playing smart, he will spread the word through the various internet information gateways. The casino see then 1000 of players playing the exact same way and see itself hit badly. I'm pretty sure most of the time it's not a player syndicate but only a simple response to a forum entry or a mass mailing.

If anyone has good revolutionary ideas on the best way to handle welcome bonuses for a wast majority of players from a .05 to a 300$ per spin I would love to hear it and try to implement it.

Hmmm....IMO, generous bonus policies, and no hassle cashouts, made 888, InterCasino, (Golden Palace), and the Party Casinos, etc., etc., billions of GBP. Before and after they went public.

I think the root of the problem is if you offer a bonus with a mathematical player advantage, there will be some advantage players who play the bonus with strategy for the maximum player gain. And if you offer a bonus with no mathematical player advantage, then it won't be appealing to most desired players, and the few who do play the bonus have little chance of winning anything. I'd recommend striking a balance between the two, so it will be appealing to more desired players, and it will not be a favorite to advantage players. As it stands now, the bonus seems to have redundant protection against advantage players -- larger bets are not allowed, lower house edge games are not allowed, and the bonus is not cashable. I think the bonus would be more appealing to players and still not appealing to most advantage players, if you eliminated 1 of these 3 restrictions.

Regarding the higher wagering for British players, I can understand the logic with a more desirable bonus offer. But with the current offer that has little mathematical advantage, a larger bonus is likely to the casino's advantage, not the players, since most persons playing the bonus would make a loss. If you want to change conditions for UK players, I'd suggest limiting the bonus to 100 or $200 (currency equivalents), like Bet 365 does, rather than increasing wagering.

Lowering it to the standard 12x would help as it would not look to any British player looking at the offer that you didn't really want them to play at all. It is not so much about games with low house edge, but that you have excluded all games that offer near even money bets, such as Blackjack. You even go so far as to ban Video Poker and 3 Card Poker, thus leaving no chance, even with the restricted bet sizes, for a British player to win unless they are spectacularly lucky.
Playtech slots seem of low variance, another think that makes a non-cashable bonus less attractive.
I recently played some Playtech non-progressives, and indeed they give lots of little wins, but the bigger wins from features tend to be around 10x bet, as opposed to Microgaming where the norm is much higher, such as Thunderstruck with a mean of 33x bet from free spin rounds on average.
Wagering 2200 at these low variance slots lead to a steady loss of 100 (small bets, many spins), this included many many bonus rounds, all of which were poorer than their Microgaming counterparts. I never gained more than 50 in any upward surge, but similarly there were no long sucks as can happen at Microgaming, even with small bet sizes.
The standard slots bonus at Microgaming is set to 30x bonus, or for a 100% deposit offer, equivalent to 15x D+B, and it is fully cashable. Some MG casinos tried a 50x, equivalent to your own 25x D + B, but again the bonus was cashable, and there were no banned games, so players could try a little Blackjack to try to boost the bankroll a little. The 50x didn't last long though, as it proved unpopular and uncompetitive.
