New twist for me.

Casino I play at infrequently, (accredited @ CM - let's leave it at that) couldn't send me a w/d via wire because I use a credit union instead of a bank. No SWIFT number for credit unions.

They pro-actively told me they had a problem (before I even knew it was a problem) and that I would receive payment via courier check and sent me tracking number. Naturally I "tracked" and watched its progress.

When it arrived, it was a rather "fat" envelope. To my amazement, it contained banded packs of $20 bills for the full amount of my withdrawal.

Amazing.........I love it!! Never in my wildest dreams did I think of "cash" as a w/d option. I just sent their rep a glowing thank you letter.

While that would be nice to see, it's also kind of dangerous. An underpaid mail carrier could have easily "lost" the envelope.

wow....that would be awesome - except that we just got a new mail carrier on our route and she's misdelivering mail all over the place. Just my luck to get cash and it gets delivered to the wrong place.

Sent by courier, I hope? Personally, I would love it. No hassle, no fuss. Just good old cash!

Yes, courier delivery requiring a signature. My husband was there to sign for it. Generic padded envelope. No markings or indication of what it contained.

re to lost envelope i believe they can insure it to be delivered to the signature of receiver and prolly for more than the contents
win win for sender :)

Wow, imagine getting hard, cold cash?

That would be awesome.

very curious as to where it was mailed out from.

Domestic street address (not a PO Box) on the west coast was shown as the return address on envelope.

Oh come on... lets us know who...

So we can hook up with them and get cash in the mail too hehe:D

Fedex and UPS don't allow cash to be sent and insurance wouldn't matter unless you have a receipt for what you declare is being sent.
Can't insure cash and can't send cash.
So, if the envelope lost they would lose the money and have to process the payment again.

Good point! lol

and in saying that too, it would probably take forever and a half to get to my side of the world:)

Living in New Zealand you don't need all the *help* we do here in the USA.

Keeping sweet little secret to myself. Just stick to the accredited casinos.

well i was just talking to a agent from CIRCA estate jewelry they are interested in a piece i have and i was told to not tell the post office what exactly was in the pkg and the insurance is paid upon failure to secure the Sig or return the package

I received a letter this spring mailed in the US. It was held at Canada Customs, open and inspected, taped up and then sent on to me. This letter did not contain cash... I'm not certain it would have made it's way on to me if it had.

well the cash thing is a last resort thing its a gamble of sorts way in your favor if you know the rules before hand obviously domestic is easier

NIce. Hmm I just cashed out Wire and also have a credit union with no swift.... My address is a po box so they would have to send to that then, unless they went fed x but then my address all show for the po box ..... GReat,.... Why did they take ach away?

Sounds a bit risky, but pretty awesome to receive a envelope full of cash..

Yes, but it illustrates the difficulties of paying USA players.

If that packet had just 'disappeared' before reaching the player, the casino would probably have simply eaten the loss (just as they do when these processors disappear with casino and player monies) and started back at square one with figuring out a way to pay.

If I get payed to my credit union with no swift code, by WT, I do not see why another can not pay the same way.
I wonder if the party that is doing the transfer does not realize you do not need one.

I've done the cash thing a couple times then went to check. Even though both cash and check are mailed certified with signature required, half the time the mail person would just put in the box. Even though it's a locking mailbox, it's not a good feeling having cash sit there so I go with check.

It makes me uneasy too. How do you get a check? Think I want to do that next time.

Thanks,

Michelle

The check is a post office money order and it's sent in a certified envelope where a signature is required. I figured if the cash was lost, delivered to the wrong address, or some other misfortune, the money order would be easier to cancel (if possible) and be reissued.

Out of 6 certified deliveries, 3 were in the mailbox. I notified support and they told me to complain to the post office. Didn't do it and not going to as I don't want potential problems from a disgruntled mail person...
