Let me start by saying I have absolutely no knowledge about how affiliate programs work. I think I understand the concept, if I register at a casino through a link on, say, Casinomeister, when I deposit there the site I signed up from gets some money. I am a little fanatic about removing cookies from my browser, I always delete the ones I don't recognize as something I asked for. Whenever I come to this sight I always get 2 cookies that I didn't ask for; affiliate.sportsinteraction.com and tracking.affiliateedge.eu. By deleting these cookies am I cutting down in any way how much money Casinomeister gets? I did sign up at 1 casino through this site. Thanks for any info on this.

Il take a punt at this but im only 90% certain.

If you sign up from casinomeister to a site. Your tagged.

If you delete your cookies after you have Signed up it wont do nothing. The cookie is only used to track the SIGN UP. Its now your Gaming account thats taged so i don't think Cookies matter any more.

Nothing a Player can do can effect the Affiliates Revenue % unless you stop playing there.

Hope that helps

The thing is we are comparing different horses for courses.

CM runs on an advertisement base, so casinos pay to be listed here as far as I am aware (there maybe bonuses per sign up or how many sign ups) if I am wrong I apologise to Bryan.

Where as a site like mine, premiers and rainmakers etc are usually based on signups and the cookies really depend on the casino and affiliate program. E.G some cookies will be lifetime meaning that if someone say clicks on a casino from my site then goes to rainmakers and clicks the same casino they will actually be tagged to me an not rainmaker.

Some use last click cookies so the opposite would happen in the above scenario and rainmaker would get the credit. And then you have some that use expiring cookies which will last say 30 days from when the person clicks through from your site.

Hope I made some sort of sense extremely exhausted atm.

If someone clears their cookies, then even lifetime ones vanish, and it is "last click" cookies that are likely to be counting the most.

If a player wants a site to get the credit for their signup, then all they need do is complete the whole process, from clicking the link to registering the casino account, before next clearing out any unknown cookies. They can also clear cookies before clicking a link to ensure that there are no prior cookies, such as those planted during research on the quality of the intended casino.

Thanks guys

But I'm thinking more about advertising dollars. I don't pay to belong to this site. If one of those cookies stores info saying I visited: the Sears website, the Weather Channel site, Toys R Us website, and the Sports Authority website and then I come back here the cookie gets read and one of the places I visited is affiliated with one of those cookies and Casinomeister gets $.02, I wouldn't want deprive them of that revenue. Not a big deal I guess but if it helps support this website I wont delete it. I'm an old hand with computers but relatively new to any kind of website membership.
