Last year when I started slots I was massively skeptical of them so when I started using my own money after a free run at them I developed a kind of 'weasel' strategy!

I would see how a slot was playing and then just leave if it wasn't feeling right whether that was 10 spins in or 20 mins. If I hit a bonus I would repeat on another slot. I became pretty good at balance building that way but would get bored after a while if I built a decent balance.

After a decent win end of last year I've been playing very loose but it's been eating my bankroll and I'm trying to get back to that strategy.

It's easy to do with the DoAs and other slots but bonanza has a base game that swings so widely between taking your deposit and giving it back that it's really hard to know where I am with the game! Plus the "1/460" bonus frequency

Something I've realised with bonanza is that once I start wanting the bonus to land it's probably time for me to set a leaving point and really try to stick to it. It means I've either got bored of the base game or I might be tilting a bit. Even though I play for 'fun' those scatter teases will still start to slowly tilt me I've noticed.

Just now I gave it a spin and it threw in a 20x straight away and then went pretty well for 20 mins yoyoing it. Did pretty well just now and actually left 10x up.

I think that once you get to the point of chasing the bonus with this it pretty much always ends in disappointment either because it eats too much before hand or it never hits. Better to leave, reset your brain and try again maybe.

You're correct, the main reason I do it is because the majority of times I've had that feeling and played on I got proved right so I just started leaving. I'd rather not know than play on and be proved right the slot was dead for me, it annoys me more than anything tbh!

Went back again to Slots Temple with £85. Hit a 50x base game to keep me afloat and was spinning about 15 minutes then hit GOLD+5. Knowing this can be bait and my luck I wasn't exactly jumping for joy.

Started off slow, was looking like it was going to be another real disappointment and my pain was not yet over (50x only after 16 spins) but fml did a load of Jacks tumble in and connect. Somehow now only down £55 on the day which with all the spins I've done and the RTP expected is a very positive outcome.

It's crazy just how many people I see say they have bad experiences on Slots Temple even though they're probably the only site offering top RTP on every game they have that's UKGC registered.

I decided to play how your "supposed" to play and go for the bonus. 15 mins in I was around 75x down and then it started rolling in the frequent wins.

The thing is that by 40 mins I was still around 75x down but getting annoyed by the 5x-20x wins because I just wanted to get the bonus or be put out of my misery! Once I noticed it I found it pretty amusing, no other slot have I got annoyed at it dropping in decent wins constantly.
