Hi
This is my first post, btw..it's nice to meet all of you:)

I deposited $25 through instadebit over 10 days ago at bodog, Im not asking for help because I already have something being done. I just wanted to let you know about the slow pay. Who knows, maybe Im wrong since Im a new player but when I won $500 on 32Vegas, I got my money within the 5 day period as promised.

I won $75 at bodog (i know , it's not alot but Im on SSD) I requested a payout 9 days ago (at that time it was 9) I emailed them after 7 business days telling them my deposit had to have cleared because my bank took it right away. I got an email with a "software glitch" excuse along with an apology. I waited 2 more days (11 days now) and still no payout to instadebit. I emailed them again and they denied ever saying they had an email to me on file re: a software glitch.

I got bored and took out $25 of the $75 and turned it into a $300 payout instead of just a $75 (that's what they get for taking so long). I faxed them over my documents (thank God I signed up here to get that info) and just got an email saying they will send me my money. It is now day 12, I sent in a complaint to Montana and we shall see what happens.

There is no way they didnt get my $25 instadebit deposit by now. They are taking their time and it stinks. Like I said, 32Vegas paid me in a timely fashion but this casino has been allowing me to play for almost 2 weeks and letting me win $300 when my $25 didnt clear??? I don't think so

Bodog takes forever to clear direct bank deposits. They are not the only site that does this. Just because the money has left your account, it doesn't mean Bodog has received the money free and clear. I'm sure the bank has a period of time where they can reverse EFTs due to insufficient funds. Bodog is protecting themselves from this.

Why the hell are you gambling if you're on SSD?

reply to SSD question

Why would you ask such a question? Just because someone is disabled doesnt mean they cant get some relief or enjoyment when their having a few good hours. Im not dead, I just can't stand or sit for any length of time

Im in no way poor, I have a husband that does bring in a good income and I bring in a good income with my SSD. I meant that I like to payout because I reached my wager requirments and it's good to take the money and run, no matter how small. That is why I am ahead and not behind like most people. Those $75 or whatever the amount may be add up fast when you have several coming in.

I've never had a problem with Bodog when depositing through firepay or neteller. The payout request is usually in my account within 2 hours.

$25 a week to play slots must last you ... ooh, three minutes? four minutes tops surely?

Much better than going out with friends to see a movie? I wouldnt say so ... but we all have different priorities.

You know Henry...you almost sound like you're picking up where Caruso left off. The sarcasm doesn't become you. FYI, I deposited $25 earlier this week and played for about three hours. Last week, I deposited $33 and played for about six hours. Both times I flirted with $100-$150, up and down. For us slot players, for the most part, that's all we ask for. We find it entertaining and for some of us, relaxing. As frufrugirl stated, a night out at the movies costs at least $25, and in my case, alot more as I would also have to pay for a babysitter. The constant slams, and insinuations, that people who play slots don't share a brain between them is growing very old, very fast. However, I do agree with you on one thing, and that is the people who play slots, but then complain that they lose all the time, is also growing old and tiresome. That IS part of the game, and you WILL lose a majority of the time, and they all need to accept that.

Well, as I said, we all have different priorities.

Sure, gamble on slots if its spare money you wont miss because, as you say, you are probably going to lose it all. That is playing slots for you.

I was only trying to say that the attitude of "I use the money I save from not going out to gamble on online slots" is, IMHO, not one to encourage.

In fact, if I had a friend who was doing that i would probably have a word about their priorities in life.

It is clearly an unhealthy attitude to life IMHO.

And, you know what, I think that is not even controversial or "slamming" .. just common sense.

I just don't play slots. I like playing the table games too, infact I got a full house in A.C. on let it ride for $350 and got 4 8's in vegas for $650, and won alot of hands on 3 card poker, however, I do enjoy sitting and just playing slots......not to win....to be entertained. I get a free room at the Trop EVERY week because of my slot play.....and no, it's not because I lose, because I got my win/loss for the year and I am ahead. I play smart and not on impulse. Slots are not for just no brain people. There is a skill to it believe it or not. My last win was $1100 the week of Sept 10th at the Trop. I gambled for 4 straight days (mostly on slots) and I can tell ya, I was playing with their money and it was fun. The funny thing is people say the "wheel of fortune" is a suckers bet, yet, I have won more Jackpots on that game than any other slot in a real casino. I have my own system and it works well for me

I am in no way trying to become a millionaire, nor do I whine when I lose, that's why it's called gambling. I'm not offended by anyone thinking I am brainless because I enjoy slots. Trust me, I am disabled but am very educated. I think some people are just Hubris about their gambling techniques and shun other people who don't share the same opinion

I just deposited $30 on Bodog at 8:30am and just now lost that $30 after going back and fourth ALL DAY, not minutes my friend, hours!!! Guess what? I don't care that I didnt win, Im grateful that my $30 lasted me that long. That is the difference between me and the "pros" persay

I absolutely agree, gambling should never be encouraged, in any form. And the only funds that should ever be used to gamble with is disposable income, period. That goes double for slots players. If you're not looking at it as pure entertainment (with the longshot possibility of winning something), you're doing it for the wrong reasons.

I also agree with you that one of the many problems of gambling addiction, often overlooked, is the impact that it can have on your social life. Again, I believe it's up to the individual to keep this in check. But for some of us, there is no harm in playing some slots once a week, as long as the rest of your life is balanced. For me, it's a release. I can get my daughter in bed, and sit back and relax (and hope that I get some play time out of my $25, lol). :)

Hank. Thanks soooo much yet another boorish sermon on the evils of slots. Do carry on with your tireless drivel so that the world can again be a safe place.

Who is hank? You keep calling me this.

Is this supposed to be an insult or something?

Or, once again, have you been unable to understand something.

To help, if you look closely ... whenever I post you will see the name "HenryVIII" appear as well. Every time. THIS IS NOT A COINCIDENCE !! Its actually my "user name".

Have a look now ... can you see it?

Now, whenever you read a post ... look in the very same place ... but remember, there will be different names there for different posters. Don't let this confuse you. Just like in real life, different people have different posting names.

Give me a shout if you are still confused.

There again, if you are trying to insult me ... well, if it makes you happy, you can carry on ... call me hank, harvey, hippy ... whatever.

Hope you are having a blast ... you have a such a great sense of humour!!

:) :) :)

100% correct. You say it so much better than me !!

OK, babs, I wasnt making any judgements on you personally here.

I wasnt even referring to you in any way ... but I think that it appeared in a thread you started ... so maybe it just seemed that way.

Hi Henry

I didnt take offense from you. I was a little offended by the first person who asked me why I gambled because I was disabled. I was just explaining that not everyone that plays slots are brainless :)

No problems here.......Im just one of those people that explains more than I really have to because I got nothing better to do lol. I should be called the "over analyzer"

I know this thread has gone on long enough but using the $25 was just an example -But you have to twist it into me being a social moron? Come on Henry, lighten up. I have a job thank you very much, I have friends and I like to entertain at home. I enjoy playing online and visiting this forum, just as you do or you wouldnt be here. I find the people in this forum very different from my "day people" but here they are just as intelligent, interesting and as full as life as the others. Enough said.

T.B and HenryVIII,

Let's bury the hatchet and start thinking of the wider picture. Inetbet,Bodog, Crown Vegas, Prism and Shark are all featured in different threads recently. All of these are RTG-powered casinos and since RTG is the only major software that are not ousting US players we are likely to see more and more of them in this forum, for better or worse. The fact is, there seems to be more and more shreds of evidence to prove that they have tightened their slots and if this is the only option available to USA players, they are getting a rotten deal. We should share more on this.
