Here ya go - this is from the newsletter archives: My review on The New Lisboa - 7 March 2008

The Grand Lisboa is impressive - it's like walking into a giant vagina. I also noticed that it has a Vegas-like smell to it - sort of a flowery scent. Again, this is a casino designed so that one can participate as a spectator - it boasts of two large levels and stupendous globular lamps hanging in varying heights. My guide pointed out the Feng Shui effects and how one could watch the players below from the center balcony - which was off limits for some reason. One of the casino security guards stopped us from peering over the rail. I guess he thought we were going to throw popcorn or spit on the people below.

Speaking of which, we were starved, and what better place to be hungry but at The Grand Lisboa. The Grand Lisboa touts one of the best Asian buffets I've been to - ever. It was absolutely to die for. In fact, it's just about worth the plane ticket to fly back out there just to eat at this place. They had a near endless selection of differing Asian dishes. Chinese, Japanese and Western - I'm getting hungry just writing about it - and I'm glad I found this place because it just felt odd dining on burgers in Macau.

ah rainmaker chose the 10 liters of beer. Was expecting that, with the insane taxing of alcohol in scandanavian countries "a 500 ml can of 4.7% beer in a supermarket costs about 25 kr" thats 3.23 euro

Yes, beer is quite expensive in Norway. And a beer (500ml) In nightclubs/bars etc will often cost you about €10
