OK here we go again , only over the last few days upon providing id twice this year to casino euro including id for a comp , to which was flown over to tournament , today as guessed they have now requested bank statements etc etc, so come on tell me im interested to where the law states that a casino is bound by this because im fed up with the bullshit.

Come on Betsson reps i want to know????

Captain rizk couldn't answer it & many other casinos still cannot answer it ! your happy to take deposits meanwhile , maybe its time that you casinos should not be allowed to take one single penny unless we have showed where our money has come from , i bet you would be all over this then wouldnt you !!!!

It seems every casino from Malta has some issues ! not once in many many years of having uk accounts have i ever had this request. seem very very odd indeed that again it comes from malta ..............

Can anyone answer this ????

Betsson is an award winning casino at Casinomeister
Lucky guess that many operators are bit lost of these guide lines and some are over careful not to get troubles in MGA audit after reading some stories from UKGC fines and want to complete these quite easily for long term players even deposit and game play patterns haven't changed but total threshold in years is high:

Its all bollocks, money launderers would be so easy to spot by any casino without the need for all that tosh, and without the need to expect customers to provide an outrageous amount of sensitive personal information to a casino!!!!
Funny how they managed just fine before for.....decades :D

Just taking control away from the individual, to the point they refuse to provide said information and effectively stop gambling, or nanny you into oblivion where they decree how much you're permitted to gamble from your income. It'll be like pocket money mkII

Well heres what you can see, not even a rep could be bothered to chime in) it speaks volumes about how dire online casinos have become, like ive already said its now about time that casinos cannot take deposits untill the account is in good standing order.

I bet this would soon change many many things)

The day any casino does a SOW on me I'll be limited to a tenner a month because on my income I shouldn't be able to gamble much more

Do they take into account that alot of the money you put in is "recycled" from other casino's or even theirs? Yes, I know it's unlikely they'd even think about the fact someone can win something somewhere but it does happen from time to time... I mean, I had a windfall earlier this year and since then I haven't spent a dime of my own money so to speak to put into the casino's, on the contrary I've been able to keep it level with some ups and downs.

On that note I don't know what our Belgian GC is able to request from the government when it comes to income. When we sign up to the GC's licensed casino's we have to enter our national number to be eligible to sign up, then we get a unique players key sent to us by the GC for that specific casino, and so far none of the casino's have ever denied me access or forced deposit limits on me.

From what I've gathered though, Unibet is going to force a maximum weekly deposit limit of €500 on Belgian players in july of 2019. I don't know if any other bookies or casino's will have to follow suit or if this is a RG measure on Unibet's behalf. €500 is more than enough for me, I already have my own limits in place, but for highrollers this is going to be an issue ofcourse. If this measure is going to be a general one they might end up playing on "non-Belgian GC licensed" casino's in no time and could actually get a fine for that...

I honestly don’t see what the issue is with all this “Source if wealth” requests?

Unless of course there is something to be hidden ... or - your mate is an affiliate and is transferring 20%-30% of your loses back via bank transfer, skrill or neteller ....

I’ve provided my banks statements many times and never had a problem ... you don’t even have to provide bank statements - pay slips are enough!

Thats the point its private im not asking for a mortgage a loan or anything else.

Something to hide yes your correct my pay slips are my business not casinos. Bank statements again none of the casinos business. Even the bank recommends you do not send in these details.

I dont walk in a casino in england & get asked for a bank statement do i ??? No!

Maybe your happy with all your banking info, who you work for & full live story including your parents name secret passwords so you can have yourself copied a few times then boris crack on your fine with it.

I think your find at least 80% of players have a issue with this kind of thing. Wait until a casino shits on you, your be spitting nails

It's pretty personal stuff as it goes, asking someone what they earn is kind of a no-no, and here you have casinos prying for absolutely no reason, certainly nothing that a page on a bank statement can't sort.

I once made that mistake years ago, I naively revealed a co-worker's salary.....to the co-worker as though it was a talking point (I outranked him, it's ok :p) but found out weeks later he was not a happy chappie  I was about 19 though so cut me some slack!

He's probably dead now.

You are very right that “your payslips are your business “ but you also have to understand that casinos look at you
as a business too!!!

Gambling should be considered as an investment - every investment hides a risk !

At least that’s the way I look at it ! The “entertainment” scenario is for low rolling millionaires !

We will all have to get used to this SOW requests in the near future! No one likes them but no one is forced to play either !

It’s about as personal as when you give all your details to a casino and they do a soft credit check on you. On top of this you accept their 2-hour read terms and conditions . Again - no one is forcing you to do so ... it’s your choice !

It's a banal counter-argument, yes you're giving out personal details but one's intrusive and one isn't.

No one's forcing me to play but then most have been playing for years and are just small fry, casinos' pretext for money-laundering is completely farcical and detached from reality. Note again how casinos managed fine for decades, payslips are a step too far.....perhaps you could send me yours and everyone else's in your family? :D

If your happy boris thats fine) but i cannot say i am & as pointed out many other players wont be either) note if you get a fone call from a casino they shall never reveal who they are at first) just incase your wife is there listening we wouldnt want your dirty secret getting out now would you) example))

I like your sense of humour !!!

Perhaps you can try it when asked for SOW! It might well work :)

Phone calls from casinos have stopped in the recent years unless you request a “call back” . Also it’s quite easy to recognise a male and a female voice ...

My bad here re the voices - I thought your wife would have picked up the landline :)))) didn’t read it carefully ... anyway if my wife is next to me and Unknown number rings - it’s scam ! :)

Lmao) im just glad ive been round the block a few times , im clearly very naive)

All this on the back of responsible gambling 1~ 7th of nov

Sadly were never going to agree on this, but got to ask if you have ever been required to do any of the stuff in a live casino ????

That was really interesting document from MGA website :D Ok, casinos are forced to complete CDD check, risk assessment when player reach 2000€ threshold in 180 days rolling period (not life time like many casinos seems to think, if categorized mediumg/high risk for some reason, need to complete EDD which include SOW request and possible other information. Low rollers who don't play more than around average (based assumed income - living costs) should not need to get to this process or at least only fill questionnaire which many casinos have in their site where you state your occupation and salary category you earn, for big amount of players that should be enough if there are no any other risk triggers like anonymous payment method and game play.

At least how i did understood that so if you make small deposits from your own verified credit card and withdraw back to same card, there should be no reason to start to ask your payslips or bank statements to show what you earn but again feels that many casinos are over reacting to these rulings as these are quite new and updated all the time (that one i posted link was made in July) and casinos are or at least think they are forced to implement these rulings right away and be over careful because they don't really know what and when they would need to complete EDD and SOW.... There never gonna be exact threshold amounts from MGA/UKGC but casinos still need to be sure that they are making them constantly....
