Noticed over the past few weeks Bet365 has new UK style slot machines with fixed £1 play and £70 jackpots, made by a company called UIJ, anyone know whether these are random? or if there is any way of forcing these?

Bet365 was shortlisted as Best Casino 2022
Unfortunatly, doesn't look like they can be played in freeplay, support wouldn't tell me whether they were random or not, and infact, got rather defensive when I pushed for information! I did get a £70 jackpot after only £5, so the mystery deepens!
Not seen these at any other site, which is strange, as they are VERY well made

Which games are they?

I couldn't recognise any by name other than 5liner, but I DID recognise Cops and Robbers along with other Microgaming offerings, so thought this was the MGS version, rather than the £70 version.

Maybe Bet365 are the first site to have them, and they are probably from Barcrest, part of their "Player's heaven" project of a few years back.

I saw the Pink Panther, but it was a standard Vegas style video slot, not the Fruit Machine. Same goes for Cluedo.

It looks like you can ONLY play for real.

Maybe CS don't know much about them, and think you are a "troublemaker" in asking the obvious question as to whether the games are random. To say they are not is the same as admitting they are rigged, so CS might not want to say much in case they make a mistake and it gets all over the internet.

If they are really the £70 versions, they are probably NOT random, but running the same software as the pub versions, which are "compensated" games. Hopefully they would NOT be set to the 72% one tends to get in pubs, but to a more reasonable 88%+ - although even this is pretty poor for an online slot, where most players expect around 95%.

Its a whole bunch of them on bet365, Cops and Robbers is actually the one found in arcades in the UK, with the feature board to boot, also Mad Money Monsters, Big Dipper, Pinball Lizzard, The Grape Escape, Spellbound, and Toweing Inferno to name a few.
These games are different to the JPM ones, (which I must add have been very kind to me!)

Mmmm i would have thought those pub slot machines had a house edge closer to 50% and online slots closer to 90% - are you sure of 95% - I don't recall that % ever being displayed on any Casino's published RMTs?

I'm sure Vinyl will reply too, but my 2c:

UK pub slots have by law to put the RTP on the front of the machine. The lowest I've ever seen is 70% (and used to play them a LOT!)
Most of the £70 ones seem to average around the 82% mark, whereas the £500 Jackpot ones are either 90% or 92%.

Most software companies publish the RTPs of their online slots, for example WagerWorks, Rival, Viaden, NetEnt, Jackpot Party, etc.
Some members here have calculated the RTPs of a few of MGs slots, and we have gleaned data about the RTPs for RTG too.
(I have listed out many of these figures on my SB site)
All those above figures point to an average RTP for online slots at, or very close to 95%.

Although 70% to 80% is common in pubs, the actual machine has a range of settings that can go all with way up to 88%, possibly more. The online versions are not using the EXACT same "chip" because they have to be integrated into gaming platforms. During the alterations, they will have realised that a 70% online version would be found out pretty quickly, so will have ensured that higher settings were available. I would expect 90% to 95% to be used online, as any lower will be quickly noticed by long term players.

I believe these are the same games I have played in freeplay at unionjackpots.com.
I had an email last year and signed up when thier website was still under construction. For a long time now they have been promising a real play option would be coming soon, however I guess they have had problems with this as I had an email from them about a month ago saying they were joiniing forces with another casino.
Not much info for you all i'm afraid but thier website is still up and running for freeplay only if you want to check it out.

I signed up there, but it died. Maybe Union Jackpots IS the same company that is now providing these games to Bet365, which means they ARE all available on free play.

Something for me to look at if I get a moment or three.

They are indeed made by Union Jackpots who originally were going to open their own website but in the end decided to license their fruit machines to big online gambling companies.

They were part of the fruit machine emulation world a few years back.

UJP is the logo on the games, so looks like you guys have found the software provider!
Something I did notice when going to the UJP website, was a random number generator test at the bottom, does this mean they are random and can't be forced? long to hear Vinyls thoughts on this!

Ah, there were LOADS of old and original Fruities available, but it was all "underground" as the big companies didn't approve of the activity. I believe there was a view that it would be a good idea to somehow get these old games back for online play with real money.

Many companies tried to stop the later games being emulated by withholding the "engines" that drove them. The games came from actual ROMs removed from actual machines, and then "ripped" so that the software could be emulated on one of the game engines.

The engines were never distributed from the same site as the ROM code, this was a loophole that meant no one entity was guilty of producing a full working copy of a game.

I have quite a few of the original emulations archived on CD.

The CDs are also sold on eBay, but this is a SCAM, as they should be FREE for enthusiasts to download from the EMU network. The ONLY thing that should be charged for is the cost of a blank CD, time taken preparing it, and post and packing. NO charge should be made for the software itself.

Union Jackpots obviously managed to get approval and licensing from the machine manufacturers, which has enabled them to fully develop internet versions and supply them to other companies. This seems to suggest that other casinos and games sites would be able to get them, and there could be more to come.

Sorry to dig up such an old thread. But I was looking at Bet365 and they still have a few AWP type games online, like Al Murray's Golden Game (Which Can Be Forced!) :p What I want to know is what happened to Union Jackpots? I was following them on FruitForums/Fruit-Emu I know they did a few slots. But they seemed to just drop off the map.

Also Realistic Games - realisticgames.co.uk (Who made the old Flash Red Gaming Website) Mike the chap who owned it I think he made some great Flash AWP Games and also a £1000 Club machine, many hours of fun. Looks like they dont make these type of games now. I have looked at their 3 reel offerings and they look a bit boring now :( Anyone played them? Snakes and Ladders looks about the best lol. Im not 100% sure but wasnt it these guys who had made a rigged hi-lo game that was on BetFred which got investigated and pulled? Their games do have a little feeling of Electrocoin, they have a few games that have pretty much identical winplans.

Really would like to see a better AWP offering online. I guess its just a dying market :(

It seems to have taken a drastic U turn. Microgaming was the king of the online AWP, but last month pulled all but two of a pretty large portfolio. All that's left is what other providers had found from third party suppliers. Maybe it's just a temporary dip, and Microgaming pulling out of offering AWPs, even if temporary, may be seen as a golden opportunity to capture the UK market at least. Most likely, any offerings will be aimed at multi provider platforms, rather than a single software download client as was the case with Microgaming's offerings.

The best places to look would be those chiefly interested in the UK market, and who use a multi provider platform that is well suited to integrating a completely new provider, rather than just the games from a specified set of existing suppliers. Sky Vegas and Virgin Games may be a better bet than Bet365 for finding something along the lines of the £70 pub fruity style of game. I think Jackpot Joy have a few too.

I just started typing and realised this is an ancient thread.
Thing is though I used to play these emulators and they were easy to get. I just checked and the website that provides them is still up and running which I am sure you know about.
Still anyone wants to PM me I will give them the site.

As for UK slots. I cam across their website aad asked what the RTP was and they told me it as 85% so I told them they wouldn't survive with those kind of payouts online and forgot about them.
These days it seems MG and all the others are about 85% if we are lucky anyway!

When I first started playing it was literally tens of thousand sf spins before I hit a run of over 900 spins to hit a free spin round these days I go over a thousand spins every other session on some slot or another it seems.
No way are we playing games with the same RTP as years ago, no way!

On land, it can be as low as 70%, and up to around 85% where there are captive players who play them regularly, and would notice if they were any lower. 85% is too low for online, even 90% is considered a "rip off". 95% and above is acceptable.

Given how the old fruities worked, there is no reason for them not to be set to 95% when offered online. 95% is about the lowest RTP you will see with a Microgaming slot, but they are very clever with the way reels are designed such that they can allocate a fair chunk of that RTP to rare, but very high paying events. This can make many sessions look like you are playing a slot set to something far lower, even over a decent number of spins.

Cleverest of all are these "ways" slots, where you might think how could they make money for the casino when EVERY way pays out. The reason is the first two reels. Reel 1 will have loads of half the symbols and few of the others, whereas reel 2 will be the opposite, few of the symbols plentiful on reel 1, and loads of those rare on reel 1. This means there can be a surprisingly large number of non paying spins due to how few combinations of the stops on the first two reels actually line up a pair. Even when they do, the third reel has to match for there to be a payout.

The three reel slots are usually weighted, so the position and numbers of symbols on each reel do not accurately reflect the TRTP. AWP games are compensated, so again the TRTP cannot be calculated from the reel strips. The difference between the two is that weighted slots still produce independent results for each spin, whereas the payouts for a compensated slot is partly driven by how much has been taken and paid out before, and whether it can "afford" to pay a given win.
