With the televised advert for Monopoly Casino being deemed to possibly encouraging minors to gamble. Full details: ASA Bans Monopoly Casino Advert from UK Television

Is this one of the old Gamesys sites, sister to Virgin Games, Starspins etc?

It's a difficult one as I suppose the Monopoly board game has been played by almost every UK child at some time or other, well prior to the mobile device-addicted generation it certainly was.

seems a bit of a stretch; sure kids have played the game (and do).
But I mean, every time McDonald's runs their Monopoly campaign, the cartoon dude is flogging the contest, and while kids eat McDonald's, it's parents who pay for and play it (and need to be 18 to collect prizes)
If he said 'heyyyy, kids' I can see that. But it's their mascot. Geiko has a talking lizard; noone mistakes the ad isnt targeted for adults

One thing I had noticed (not sure if it still happens I don’t watch TV much at all nowadays) is that casinos used to advertise with the slogan. “We paid out over £20,000,000 to our customers last month (figures made up but you get the gist).

If it still happens then with RG and the likes casinos should be forced to change that to “We made £4,000,000 profit last month”. Just to give the first time would be gamblers a more realistic view of how it works instead of making them think the casino is loosing money.

I think the Mail article has an incorrect header - the title refers to a TV advert yet the article (and others I have read) refer to an online advert. Worth double checking Mr Hound.
TY. Changed accordingly.
