They say "Akinfenwa could have a strong social media following of under 18 year olds".

Really? The big lad was a decent footballer but not Premier League level. I doubt many under 18s have heard of him apart from a few Wycombe Wanderers fans. Most people who know of him will be 30+.
The ASA are basically saying no former professional footballers can appear on betting adverts.

These rulings are a bit much in my opinion. It's like vaping - I'm 55 and enjoy my vapes. I haven't smoked tobacco for over 10 years thanks to vaping. I enjoy the different fruit and sweet flavours but because, according to the nanny campaign groups, 'the brightly coloured packaging and sweet flavours appeal to children' us adults are now facing restrictions for a product that is relatively harmless. Infuriates me.

The sad sods want us living in a grey world where anything more exotic than boiled potatoes and plain rice is putting our whole existence in threat.

One day someone will notice that fruit flavoured gin in brightly coloured bottles is hugely popular these days and readily available in the UK and will attempt to ban it just in case some licensees don't check ID properly before selling it.

Thursday morning rant over.
