Just a heads up

Similar situation developing in the Bierfest 4 - 18 July 2007 thread

I have had this problem with a few casinos just like this, there was a windows update a while back that started this, I am not sure what O S you are running but on Vista and XP I had to go in and turn off my user settings and log in as administrator, it would download but just go blank and disappear after I tried to install, it took me a while to figure this out on XP, Vista was easier. Hope this helps.

Thank you my friend but i wish it was as easy as that. All 3 pcs i tried are fully upto date and patched using XP and i am logged on as administrator. alas still no luck. Its definatly a problem with their software download. somehow the file has become corrupted. Im waiting for their response.

me too

I uninstalled it by accident lol..dont ask, anyway, when I went to reinstall it, it stops halfway. I wanted to play hitman and can't :(

@AudiManinBoro

i had the same experience, it stops to do something after 2-3 minutes. but when you let it running for further 10 minutes, the software finish the uninstall and it says "Casino is successfully uninstalled". just wait, even when it takes a long time.

Its not M/G, its FU***NG Microsoft, I have stopped allowing updates.

guys its not .net framework and its not microsoft lol all other mg casinos install no problem its just grandmonaco who has a corrupted download. They ad vised me of the problem this morning by email and working on a fix. Theyve asked me and probbaly countless others to be patient :thumbsup:

I tried installing it, but the download just stuck at 0%, the software did not quit, just sat there. However, I noticed the lights on my modem were dancing away, and after what seemed like ages at 0%, it suddenly launched the casino straight from "0% downloaded". The bug is in the bloody "download helper" that MG keep ramming down our throats - I never have trouble from a direct download of the now 8Mbyte wise installer, only with the wide variety of "helpers" used by different groups.
These helpers do nothing more than play you pretty pictures while the casino downloads, but while doing so it often gets tangled up with the OS, as it and the individual OS configuration disagree with how to handle the download and install. Bring on firewalls and anti-virus, phishing detectors etc, and we have a recipe for disaster.
I had this problem before, but "hacked" the download helper to determine the path it downloaded from, and then just requested the 8Mb installer directly through Internet Explorer - no problem - installed just fine.

I had the same problem with Grand Monaco, Big Dollar and Grand Bay, all use the same style of loader, it happened after an update for me.
