i latley saw specifically in one of teh terms of an accredited casino ,wont say its name , that affiliates and workers are not allowed to gamble .

SO PROVIDED AN AFFILIATE PLAY (NOT VIA HIS LINK OFCOURSE) AND LOST, DOES HE SHE HAS A GROUND TO CLAIM THE LOSSES ON THE CLAIM THAT WHILE WITHRAWING THE CASINO ON ITS TERM COULD HAVE HOLD WINNING ???
INTRESTING QUESTION . PLEASE I LL BE HAPPY FOR REPLIES AND SUGGESTIONS .

I am quite a bit confused by his post I must admit:confused:... First you state "If they play and lost" (the affiliate) but then you state "could the casino hold winnings"?? (if they lose what winnings are there?)

I think you need to clarify this for anyone to give you input and feedback. ok? ;)

good question, IF I am interpreting it correctly. But I don't want to assume anything.

Could you let us know the name of the Casino. I feel that affiliates should play at the site(s) they promote, otherwise how can they accurately guide players? I can understand the prohibition against workers playing. If the games are random, an affiliate should have no more chance of winning than anyone else.

I too can't understand what is being asking in the capitalised part of the first post..

I have played at nearly all those I promote, but I always try to sign-up through another webmaster's link - CasinoMeister if possible!
There's two main reasons why I do this:-
1) A lot of casinos do not allow affiliates to sign-up via their own links.
2) When I play a casino there is at least a 50% chance I will make profit - I don't want that to be deducted off my commission earned from any other players! :p

I have a question for the affiliates. Are you allowed to participate in the tourneys and if so and win something big how would that work out. I mean your promoting a casino then you go in and win a tourney from them would other players not start thinking it was fixed. Would be like working for a airline during one of their free give aways and won the top prize there would be he$$ to pay.

An affiliate could exploit the system for massive profit if he could sign up under his own aff code. Let's say, you are on 25% revenue share with no carryover of losses, which is like having a 25% cashback on losses each month. Each month you make a single $1000 even money bet on European roulette. If you win (probability 18/37), you win $1000. If you lose (probability 19/37), you get $250 commission, so you only lose $750. Expected profit $101.35. With more agressive strategy you can increase your expected profit at the expense of higher variance. If you have enough funds to this at a few dozen casinos, you could make a living "working" 1/2 hour each month. This is why casinos don't allow people to sign up under their own aff code. Of course, the system could still be exploited by a syndicate, A signs up under B's aff code, B under C's, etc, or an affiliate could simply bankroll his players and share the profits.

A clarifying for stickg and all ,

Thanks your replies i will clarify again .

i am not talking here affiliate abuse . affiliate abuse is affiliate abuse .
i believe most members and casino owners refer affiliate abuse in the same meaning ( affiliate owner plays himself from his own link from another computer , under another name and such . or another person plays from the same ip that affiliate web is based , etc . (( but obviously isnt it the true right of an affiliate to earn something from persuading his her friend from the registered link ? ))

What i ment here is in a way a case similar to what happened with a girl player who was underage , posted in meister forum , and claimed , if she was allowed depositing ,despite she registered her minor age and playing , why did the casino make obstacles when she was winning nice money ? pls correct me if i am wrong i read this regardin monaco casino , i dont remember how it ended . )

So i will try clarifying - o n the terms that casino published an affiliate should not participate in a game , both from his own link and IN GENERAL , (THAT i didnt i did not understand myself ) , one can imply that the casino reserve a right to revoke withrawl from a person who is registered as an affiliate , but plays (from meister link for example) as a gambler .

So i am saying ,an affiliate ,who is also a gambler n, if he she should not bet in that casino ,according to the casino terms , - than iN A CASE THAT HE REGISTERED A PLAYER ACCOUNT(NOT FROM HIS OWN LINK) AND GAMBLE

,AND LOSES , CAN HE SAY - " IF I SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO PLAY AT THE FIRST PLACE , WHILE THE CASINO MIGHT "HAD THE RIGHT" TO HOLD WINNINGS , THAN I SHOULD HAVE THE RIGHT TO CLAIM BACK LOSSES , SINCE THE CASINO ALLOWED THE GAMMING " ?

i hope the post is more clear now and i will carefully read the replyies .
there may be a case here .

I still don't think I understand your question catcat941, but I'll take a stab at trying.

Is this your question in the example below??

An affiliate plays at a casino by following the links from another affiliates site, (not his own affiliate code) and plays at x casino, but it is against the terms and conditions for the affiliate to play at this particular casino. They win........they can't withdraw because they went against T&C's, but they want to claim losses on their own affiliate code??

Is this your question?

An affiliate is considered a free agent......not an employee of the casino that they are promoting. Yes most contests exclude their own employees, but affiliates are not employees and the casino's that affiliates promote are those of their own choosing.

an affiliate can be a player (playing tourneys or whatever) as long as they didn't signup through their own affiliate link. In other words clicking on a banner on their own site. An affiliate can sign up as a player under another affiliate.

Since I'm an affiliate I click on my own banners to test the tracking and had inadvertently signuped through my own affiliate account. The affiliate manager demapped it and took away the earnings I made off myself.

I think if there was a rule against affiliates playing, there would hardly be any affiliates since most affiliates are players who decided to put up a website.

At B&M casinos here in Atlantic City, a casino employee cannot gamble in the casino they work in BUT they can gamble at other casinos even if the same group owns the casino.

What I mean is...Trump has 3 places. If you work at the plaza, you can still gamble at the marina. Just like KK said, if he wants to gamble in real he clicks on another affiliates' banner. but like DOminique said...if an affiliate couldnt gamble there wouldnt be affiliates. BEsides, I wouldnt want to trust an affiliate that didnt gamble. How would he know how the casino works that he's promoting?

Like someone else also said, they arent employees like an airline employee, they are a free agent and promote several casinos. I do agree that they should use another banner from another affiliate. Im sure the casinos have a system just like other companies. If you promote an airline and buy a ticket from that airline, Im sure they know not to give the sales rep points for that sale right?

An affiliate could exploit the system for massive profit if he could sign up under his own aff code. If you win that bet, your winnings would be offset against your player commissions and reduce them accordingly. Some casinos allow you to do this by prior arrangement as a) they know a gambler will lose long term, b) affiliates are often among the larger gamblers, c) an affiliate will probably be a loyal player with the "cashback" incentive and d) if the aff wins, the casino can offset losses against commissions.

The only benefit to an affiliate is if he/she loses, and then of course you'd still be down, even with the cashback LOL.

I think it's actually short-sighted of casinos NOT to allow their affiliates to do this, but there you go.

Almost all affiliates play at Online Casinos, Poker Rooms and Bingo Halls. We have to to evaluate the property itself and then the new games that come out. First hand experience also allows us to write reviews and form an educated oppinion of the Casino.

The rub comes in when affiliates sign up through their own links. This is prohibited by most affiliate programs and the casinos as we receive a commision on net revenue. Its "double dipping" so to speak as we win when we win and via commissions we would also win when we lose. Casinos obviously frown on this. You can be kicked out of the Affiliate Program or have your winnings seized if you violate this rule.

As stated above, when I sign up at a Casino I generally do it through either a friends links or by signing up directly. This eliminates the conflict of interest and keeps me in compliance with the Affiliate Program's and the Casino's terms and conditions.
