If you are getting the error in Chrome try using Firefox or IE.

Hey,

Have you checked if the hardware acceleration in your flash is also enabled?

You can check that by simply right clicking in the aliens game window, go to "settings" and then tick the "enable hardware accelerations".

Hope it solves the problem for you.

Additional: Also check if your flash player is up to date, if not, update it and give it another go :)

hardware acceleration

I have enabled the hardware acceleration in fact its always been enabled and ive got flash 13 my graphics card is an intel g33/31 express chipset family type.

I got this from support

Thank you for contacting us.

Unfortunately it seems that your graphic cards is insufficient to support our game Aliens. This promotion was automaticaly loaded into your account yesterday so it's not possible to add these free spins in that game or another.

mean so and so's they could have given me the cash equivalent same as mr green did.

Runs flawless for me on my laptop...
Intel i5 dual core at 3.1 Ghz each and 8 Gb RAM & Nvidia Geforce gfx card...
No issues and tested on IE,Firefox,Opera and Chrome...

But you won't miss a lot as I think it is a piss poor slot again from Netent... :eek2:

Definitely try in another browser, it won't work on my machine in Chrome (I am running Core i5 with on-chip graphics) but is fine on firefox/ie

Well, it must be my graphics card too. The game won't load in Firefox, Chrome, IE, SlimBrowser and Torch... either unsupported graphics hardware or graphics hardware acceleration not enabled. It is, however, enabled in all browsers.

The additional software I tried does not help either so I am at a loss...

It's the numerous free spins from various casinos I'm missing at least one of them should bring a profit thats the main reason I want it working in all honesty.

there is fix already out for that - Old / Expired Link

did it like described and finally got these 30FS @GUTS just need to download dll file place it to firefox folder, but it is laggy
as hell because it uses CPU instead of graphics card, smaller window + low setting inside game will help a bit

just remember only to run firefox from same firefox main folder where this shiftshader file was copied not from shortcut

at least they are aware of this problem so this way don't have to wait ages until they fix it

I did all this and another thing that link on blogspot directed me to an untrusted website my kaspersky flagged it up as unsafe and would not let me on it. I then downloaded shift shader from somewhere else and did as directed but it just won't come up in the slot.

Unlike other browsers, which run just the generic Flash, Chrome by default runs it's own flash and the generic flash. If it works on other browsers, turning off Chrome's own flash will probably fix it. Not sure why this is the default setting, in my experience running those 2 flashes causes more problems than it helps with, it can cause flash animations to lag or not work at all.

Chrome has 2 flash versions at chrome://plugins/ , Chrome's own PepperFlash\pepflashplayer.dll and generic Flash Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32_13_0_0_182.dll , having both of them running at the same time can cause issues with flash based slots, disabling PepperFlash and enabling only Macromed\Flash fixed the "Unsupported computer graphics hardware detected" message for me with Chrome.

Sorry to dig up and old-ish thread - but I just discovered that I have this problem too - I can't play Aliens in a Chrome browser. :(

Yet I know 100% for sure that I have played it several times in the past on this same computer and using Chrome.

The good news is I just tried it in ie11 and it works fine!
Pain in the bum that I have to use a different browser just for this one game, but better than nothing.

NetEnt should be looking at this though, as it is obviously something wrong at their end because ALL their other games are OK in Chrome.

Funny you brought this old thread up KK but ive got a similar problem with some games from netent tho aliens works okay. Take the new game attraction no matter what casino ive tried it at it wont work on internet explorer which I use but it works fine at all casinos on chrome which I rarely use. Same problem at Ladbrokes there games like ruby slippers wont work on ie even tho they do at other casinos but work fine on chrome . Does my head in.

Maybe some Chrome udpate has turned on both the generic flash and Chrome's own flash. Have you tried to disable Chrome's own flash, Pepperflash, and use the generic flash only?

its something with pepper flash on chrome , i still cannot play it , i have a good graphics card but run on old version nine , some games do not work but if i change my browser choice then i can play all the games , seems to be chrome (

I forgot one detail from the previous guide, press Details to expand the flash and other plugin sections to see if you have several flashes enabled.

1. Type at Chrome's address bar chrome://plugins

2. Press [+] Details at the upper right corner

3. Now if you have 2 flash options enabled, disable the upper one of the flashes, the PepperFlash, and leave on just the generic Flash

The description of PepperFlash differs from the generic flash by these lines.

Location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\36.0.1985.125\PepperFlash\pepflashplayer.dll
Type: PPAPI (out-of-process)

The generic flash is

Location: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32_14_0_0_145.dll
Type: NPAPI

I appreciate your answers Finn, but really players should not HAVE to fiddle with any settings on their computers or browsers - NetEnt should make whatever tweaks are necessary at their end to ensure all the games work properly.

I haven't seen this problem with any other games (NetEnt or others) - even others with complicated animated graphics like Aliens - so why have they done something different on this one particular game?

Lights also has similar issue, it won't work with PepperFlash on. I think Lights and Aliens are the only flash slots, or at least only NetEnt Flash slots that demand for flash Settings "Enable hardware acceleration" to be on, maybe PepperFlash uses it slightly differently than default Flash.

I like Chrome but like all browsers, each have some bad features, like Chrome not allowing you to select the installation folder, I think Pepperflash is another bad feature.

There are plenty of Internet discussion threads related to Chrome flash issues that have nothing to do with Aliens or Lights that go something like this.

- Why isn't flash working properly with my Chrome browser
- Try disabling Pepperflash
- Worked, thanks.

On the other hand, threads about how much more awesome Flash is with Chrome than other browsers, don't exist. I think Pepperflash could be used by developer to optimize the flash application to Chrome slightly better, but since the default Flash works, no developer does it, even if they do, you probably won't even notice it compared to other browsers or Chrome with the default flash as the only enabled Flash. So most of the time for most people it does nothing, but occasionally it will cause somekind of conflict with the default flash. When PepperFlash causes problems, that's the only time you really notice it. I've been disabling that nasty little POS for couple years, occasionally some update turns it back on  , but I'll disable it again as soon as I notice it.
