Sergio Aguero on Saturday 3rd October, 2015 scored an outstanding record five goals in just twenty minutes in Man City's 6-1 bashing of Newcastle United FC. In Barclays Premier League history, Aguero is the 5th player to have scored 5 goals in a match. His own is outstanding in the sense that all the goals were scored within just 20 minutes faster than the other 4 players that created such records in the past.

I can not for the life of understand why he was substituted before the end of the game - was he injured?

Why not let him carry on and get 6 or 7 goals?
Would that be a record?
If so, he should definitely have been given the chance to try for it.

Lewandovski took only 9 mins to score 5 goals against Wolfsburg  :D And he came on as a substitute in the second half only. Could have had as well more than 5 would he have been in the starting line-up.

P.S. I am not a Bayern Munich fan

I am sure he would have scored at least six as Bony missed a sitter

He was treated at half time for an injury so it was a precautionary substitution. Everyone would have loved to have seen him get a 6th though :(

Pfff. Not even close to Lewandowski Achievement. 5 goals in 9 minutes - 10 goals in 3 matches! :notworthy

That's was pretty good! But Cristiano's numbers... That's from another galaxy! Cant wait to watch Bayern vs Real Madrid in the Champions League

First time

First time in history that 3 different players from three major European leagues score 5 goals 20 days apart. (Cristiano, Lewandowski and Agüero)

As long as nobody has done it before him in EPL within 20 minutes, he has a record his substitution notwithstanding.

It was actually 23 minutes Aguero took for his quintuple - there were 3 minutes added injury time in the first half....;)
But Aguero didn't finish the match as he was substituted. How did it then take him extra time to complete the 5 goals scoring?

Aguero was substituted and could not stay until extra time. How did it take up to 23 minutes? While all the goal were scored in the first half of the game.
