African Palace Casino breaks payment agreement again

To briefly summarize, I had originally withdrawn over $41K back in Sep. 2004. After about a year and a half of delays and broken promises, I had only received $12K of a promised settlement amount. Then I took this dispute public, and in April this year a new settlement was reached, this time in writing. With that, I had hoped this matter would have finally been resolved. I was to receive monthly installments concluding in October.

For a while these payments were indeed carried out. However, I regret to report that not even a written assurance from the casino management could prevent them from once again not following through on their promises. As of this month the payments have unexpectedly stopped, and management refuses to even respond to my inquiries about it. From that I can only infer that they intend to renege on this latest deal.

Shame on you, African Palace. I can only hope this latest outrage gets the negative publicity it deserves.

This is BS. I'll be sure to spread the word about not playing at this casino.

I've always been an optimist, but even I'm starting to understand that Playtech are prepared to licence to anyone who pays their fee and are happy to turn a blind eye to fraudulent operating.

More fodder for the DoJ :mad:
 
I should have included in the original post that I am still owed approximately $6400 under the terms of the payment agreement.
 
A Friggin' Palace has probably drafted a new settlement plan which pays you $200 per week for the next 32 weeks. Is their cashflow really that tight?
 
For the record, I have alerted the casino management to this thread. They or their representative have an open invitation to come here and refute what I have said.

I have a gambling bud with the exact same issue, I'm gonna have him register here and PAB too. Apparently they told him he wasn't supposed to talk to anyone else about the payment arrangement, and then they promptly broke it anyway.

This is alarming since the operator told me several weeks ago that they haven't had a complaint in months. I need to know these things since they've requested to be removed from the rogue/not recommended section.

I've emailed the operator to find out what's up.

I had my friend register here. He PM'd the rep here his details and hasn't gotten a response. He did get a partial payment today, but I'm going to have him PM you the email he got that he forwarded to me where they basically tell him if he wants to get paid he has to accept partial payments (over an amount that is less than $1500) every week for four weeks and that if he told anyone about the arrangement they made that it would cancel his agreement. It's already been a month since he requested his cashout if I recall correctly and his first payment was yesterday or today.
 
Brother, this really does strongly suggest that this outfit has a cash crisis when they cannot afford to meet even the simplest low payment schedules that they have agreed to.

These two casinos have been the source of player complaints for years - even before they signed up with Playtech - and I am surprised that they remain in business at all.

He'll need to PAB since I believe the rep is no longer working there. I have direct contact with the operator, so I can expedite it over management. I'll have to re-check the rep's account to see if he's active.
 
Dispute now resolved

I'm pleased to report that Bryan helped to re-establish contact between myself and the casino management and that I just received the overdue payment. In fact the October installment was paid as well, so that now satisfactorily concludes my payment agreement with African Palace.

If Bryan's involvement is needed after an agreement on payment was reached and then breached, how on earth would anyone have any faith on this casino's integrity. Avoid,avoid and avoid.

I walked my friend through doing a PAB over here, he was kinda reluctant due to the email they sent him saying he had to keep the arrangement in the strictest of confidence, but I assured him that it's pretty unlikely the casino will do something negative as a result of you contacting them regarding it.

Yes, I think they did go bust some years ago.
But the brand name was bought out at the end of 2012, and relaunched by the new owners in August this year.
The new owners also operate Grand Reef Casino, which has proved very popular with visitors to my website.

This is true, but I am not sure why they would be so popular TBH.
