AffUnited messing around with me

Hey guys,

I really didn't want to solve it this way, but as AffUnited doesn't seem to give a F... I see no other way than posting it here.

I started to work as an affiliate for William Hill (mainly) six weeks ago and after three weeks or so made a revenue of around 1000 dollars. My payment account took a time to get approved and that way fine to me, but then I had to see that my net balance was still zero so I wrote to my account manager, thinking that net gaming could be something i wouldn't receive (such as only the turnover or whatever):

"Dear Kobi,

I have a question on my xxx account at Affiliates United:

- On my traffic stats, I see there's one real first depositer
and there's a "Net Gaming" of USD 1,446
- What does this "Net Gaming" mean? How much of it
will be paid to me?

Thank you for your help in advance!

Sincerely,
xxx "

Kobi did not respond to that mail from the 1th April (maybe he's a funny guy) and after waiting another week, I wrote the same E-Mail again 5 times, here's an example from 4th April, when my Net Gaming already received around 1.8K:

"Hi Kobi,

I know this is probably the third E-Mail I write you but you did'nt respond to the former ones.
Affiliates United Account: xxx

My Net Gaming for March was $1,446.69 and for April is $433.22.
Though, by balance is ZERO.

Can you explain this to me please?

Best regards,"

Again, he didnt respond to me so I sent the same mail three days after with another Mail account, thinking that my mails might ended up in his spam folder. Again - no response.

I gave it up, being pissed off for already investing money I seem not to get in my adwords campaign, and wrote a Mail to the Payment Department on 04/08:

"Dear Sirs,

- Though I made around 2000 dollars revenue (1446 dollars last month) my cashier balance
is ZERO so that i cant withdraw anything.

- Support told me this was a system failure or something?!

I want to know when I'll receive that money to my moneybookers account because i need to manage my adwords campaing (I wont invest money in advertising unless I know I get paid)

Sincerely,"

These guys also didnt answer my mail, even though i sent it again on 04/11 - absolutely no response. Between all these mails, i contacted the live support at least ten times and all they told me was to refer to my affiliate manager which seems to be dead since several weeks.

Has anyone made a similar experience with AffUnited/William Hill or is it just me who feels kinda pissed off for getting treated like i wouldn't exist?!

Yup definitely slow to respond in my experience and when they do its normally followed by emails asking for more exposure etc

The Net Gaming is what the casino earned. Your payment is 25% (or whatever) of that total. The "Cashier" functionality isn't live yet but after I asked how to get paid, they seemed to pay on or around the 5th of each month without further prompting.

The casino itself is actually run in a similar manner for what it's worth. I find there seems to be a culture difference between their ideology and mine - everything there seems to be about money and the "bottom line" whereas for me it's more about the experience. Which ain't great as a player or affiliate. Personally you'd be better off sending Playtech players to Bet365 or Tote IMO - a much more wholesome experience for the player.

Thanks for your answer.
They owe me 70% of the first 1K and 50% of the rest (roughly)...
I'm really not the guy to run to casinomeister and jump the gun on it, but these guys could at least respond to me in a timely manner. Waiting several weeks to get a simple question answered is everything but okay to me...

Well, I'm glad to hear that it's not only me... maybe I'm getting paid one day.
Thank you again for your reply, i loved to promote William Hill because of a game thats very similar to a famous slot in German Casinos and it is really easy to promote because of that, but if they dont answer my questions or, in the worst case, dont even pay me off, I'll go on and promote bet365!

What is "NCO"?
Received my payment yesterday evening - seems that thread worked haha :D

NCO = Negative Carry-Over.

I you refer a player who has a lucky big win one month, your commission will go negative and stay that way until enough other players lose sufficient to get you back into the black.

I had this happen with Bet365, and at the average monthly activity I have with them it will take 11 YEARS before I get paid another cent in commission...
I asked if they could do anything and they said no.

NCO is REALLY bad news for small-time affiliates like myself - and I've now vowed to NEVER promote another casino who has this.
Fortunately 95%+ of casinos don't have it.

Update:

William Hill / Affiliates United contacted me and told me I got a new affiliate manager (which responds pretty fast to all my mails) and the old one has gone. Just wanted to say that I'm really satisfied with AffUnited and their services, the topic on not responding to my mails was due to my former affmanager and is now solved.

Absolutely no further payment issues, so dont hesitate to promote them!

That's pretty sad. Won't most programs remove the player from your line if you ask them to?

If it was me, I'd remove them from my site, and tell them to shove it.
