Advice for a beginner

Hi,

Iam looking to start a new site and was looking for some advice.Iam not a programmer and cannot write in http.Can a gambling site be succesful with regards to seo if its not written in http but built using Google Sites(which i can understand,just).I want the freedom to add content and be in control but if Google Sites cannnot ultimately deliver then I guess its a problem.I guess what Im asking is it possible to create your own succesful site without writing it in http? Do the majority of other members understand http or do they use 3rd party web site developers?

My advice is to request permission to access the webmaster area of this site where these kind of questions will be addressed.

To request permission:

1. Select "My Profile" in the top RH menu of this page

2. Go down towards the bottom left of your profile page and where you see "0 Permission Groups" select "Join Group"

3. On the next page, scroll down to "Webby" and click the radio button and submit

4. Wait for approval

When I started my first website I didn't even know what HTML was!
My 3 main sites are just made using Microsoft Word and Excel - this has not had any negative effect on my SEO, as they are all incredibly popular!
