Admin note - thanks system turned off

It seems like a few undisciplined members have decided that the "Thanking" and "Likes" system is a personal tool to mob one another. I have given enough warnings on abusing the Thanks button - but it seems that some members feel it doesn't apply to them.

You were warned numerous times - so now you have it

Come Monday, I'll revisit the problem - as for now, I don't need to be babysitting anyone.

I do not agree with you to customize the the forum based on some undisciplined members behavior .Suspension is better.

One should not let themselves be ruled by such "bullies".

I've turned it off for the Political Rants section. It's "on" for most of the rest of the site. Again, I don't need to waste my weekend on this. I'll be dealing with this on Monday.

I did not like the new 'thanks' button becasue of the notifications.
When I see notifications get highlighted I think it is something important but it is just another thanks.
