85% of Wal-Marts Purchases are made with cash

I'm not sure I see the point in buying something online if you have to go to the store to pay for it. People buy online because they either think they're getting a bargain or they're too lazy to get out of their chair.

In this case the price doesn't change if you click it on your monitor or walk in the store and point at it and you still have to get out of your chair.

I have a better idea. You give me a complete list of your merchandise online. I'll select which items I want to buy. You roam around the store and pick them all out for me and ring them through the cashier and put everything in bags. Then I'll come in, swipe my card and take the stuff home.

Actually, forget it. You'll probably just bust up my potato chips and I'll be stuck licking the dip off my fingers again.

Since there is a larger selection available online, I can see the advantage. That cute sundress, I don't want it in lime jello, but the pretty teal. And I want it in my size. I don't want to tromp all over the store seeking what I want, or having to hunt down a clerk.

A lot of people don't trust shopping online, the ability to go into the store and pay in cash is a brilliant marketing move.

As for instore pick-up, I used that option when I purchased my TV (not Walmart) because it saved around $35 in shipping costs.

Actually this was wonderful during Christmas. I had so many grandkids presents to get, bicycles, electronics, etc. I ordered online, even if it was available in the store, after work went and it was ready for pick up....no waiting! It was so easy!!! Love site to store.

I used this feature this XMAS too! Mader life lots easier and the holidays less stressful.;)
