Novomatic - Gangster Paradise, a mediocre offering.
Netent - Golden Grimoire, and GRIM it certainly is!
Nextgen - Foxin' Twins, quite entertaining for a cartoon theme. :p
Microgaming - Our Days, dross taken to a new depth.

And the other 2 even worse. Jeez at least it saves me having to waste time playing them myself to find out how bad they are. Do these providers really think these type of slots will have any longevity in a market that is producing megaways and Unlimited multipliers etc. I mean you at least need some potential there to begin with. As for the Netent game how have they not spotted that if you didn’t know better at a glance you would assume (or at least I would) that it was a Yggdrasil game and therefore avoid like the plague. They are the last provider I would try and emulate.

What gets me is the 200x max screen on the Grimoire. This really is kindergarten stuff.
Yeah the stage slotting is at now you wonder why providers bother investing money, time and effort on creating a slot that may struggle to recoup the initial investment. Maybe they do rely on uneducated players who don’t expect to win much off their £20 and are happy with a bit of game time (ie the popularity of starburst). You also have the keep it simple brigade which accounts for the popularity of that game. When I go to the casino and look at what people are playing the most popular games as far as I can see are Book of Ra, Ladyluck charm, and most popular of all is Cleopatra which I find totally boring. It’s all down to personal taste I suppose. I hardly ever play slots in the casino now as I find the games pretty dull compared to a lot of online slots. I know you get some games the same but not from any of my favourite providers.

It's heading towards 'Megaways or nothing' with slots design it seems. The big boys have given up trying to be innovative a la MG & Netent, and the small fry are just paying for a successful IP in the form of Megaways. Even Red Tiger games look more slick than Netent's latest offerings.

Was playing some Netent game in some forlorn Battle, it really moved me to my core that I can't even remotely remember its name (but it was them) and I thought Netent had stolen all the blueprints from Betsoft HQ it was that bad :eek2:

And as for the much-lauded Vikings, I'd rank Warlords light-years ahead of it, it's all hype and licensing bravado, take away the stock generic stills from the series and the lovely Lagertha and you have yourself quite the boring game. Spending what seems like 300 spins seeing two shield scatters get arrowed for the hundreth time for absolutely no reason, in one of the VS Battles I trigger the Free spins to finally get.......a hollowed-out block in the middle of the screen that's supposed to mean something. Got 16x in the end :cheerleader:Good job NE

And MG are fast becoming the Roy Chubby Brown/ Bernard Manning of modern slots with their comic creations, can't even remember the last good games they made.....Jurassic Park??

All these releases are proving is how low the industry's stooped I'm afraid, won't be touching them with a bargepole

At they were funny sometimes. Perhaps MG could have a politically incorrect game with those two on? Replace A*t & D*c with 'Royston and Bernard'?

Best way to find a good slot: find out what dunover is wittering on about as being piss poor, then play it. Worst reviewer ever.

Strongly disagree with you here, personally think Dunover's really good, although most of the vids arent really criticizing as much as presenting. I like the reviewing part of it but prefer it in its full natural package. Regardless, expecting Dun to be able to perfectly criticize the slot is preposterous due to how long it takes to really get a feel for the math model.

Thats an interesting take. An example being?
Well just in this video the one that sticks out is his almost incredulous disbelief that a full screen of spiders only pays 200x total stake(!). He obviously likes Bonanza style never-pay except every so often when they pay HUGE!!! games but his outright dismissal of (imo superior) models is dumb. Virtually every time in his reviews he goes of on a tangent complaining about some things that are features, not bugs.
