Though I supposed to be "a glorious beacon of light", if to trust my reputation power icon ;) , I managed to get from maxd 4 negative reputation points in less than 4 days.

Reputation - Thread - Date - Posted By - Comment
1) NEGATIVE - 3Dice complaint: moved... 21st September 2008 07:22 AM maxd totally inappropriate use of this thread to bitch about her issues with 3Dice
2) NEGATIVE - 3Dice complaint: moved... 21st September 2008 07:22 AM maxd again, inappropriate use of this thread.
3) NEGATIVE - 3Dice complaint: moved... 21st September 2008 07:23 AM maxd more inappropriate use of this thread
4) NEGATIVE - "snipping"... 23rd September 2008 06:49 PM maxd ingracious AND trying to re-write history in order to save face.

I can really not say anything in my defence regarding #2 and #3, as it was indeed not very wise on my part to get mad at lies posted and respond in the same thread. #1 is arguable, 'cause what I did was posting screenshots that sucked in a thread called 'Screenshots that Suck' :D (Locking user from playing for allegedly all the good reasons AND sending him daily PROMOS at the same time ... my verdict - it sucks if not worse :D)

As for #4... getting negative point for THIS post (https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/snipping-posts.26929/)... and especially reading the comment ("ingracious AND trying to re-write history in order to save face")... here, maxd, you REALLY rendered me speechless.
No wonder the forum is being torn by claques and groups' wars where members are attacking each other, when even moderators are out here to slap you flat on face, just for posting logical and mature response...

Getting 4 negs in few days made me thinking hard. Am I the worst forum member and/or the worst offender of Casinomeister's forum rules and policies? Certainly none here can boast more Negs than myself in same period of time... and for what  for being honest and open-hearted like a complete idiot.

Thank you for showing me who is the boss over here, maxd. Thank you for showing me my place. Your help and concern are truly appreciated.

I thought the moderators or Bryan or whoever works in casinomeister couldnt report posts? I must be confused. This is not really about the OP, but still about the topic.

It was my understanding that they just receive them from other forum members (none of the 4 above were from me btw) and the reason why you see MaxD is because he's the one that happened to receive them at the time. Am i wrong about this? I don't think they have control over losing rep points unless THEY themselves takes away points themselves but for overall reasons. What I mean is...I dont think Max can give you 4 negative for one post can he? Ive always been confused about how those work

edit: where can you find out how many neg you have anyway? I didnt know there was a place to see them. THanks

This didn't have anything to do with reporting a post...max just gave the OP Neg rep points

I must be confused.

You are...:D

We know...they were from Max...;)

Yes, you are wrong about this babs...:D

Yes, he can...:D Although not sure if for only one post but this was about four posts...

Just messing with you babs...

OMG

I have no clue about this rep thing! How can you tell if you get them? Do you get a pm or is it somewhere in your profile?

Sorry about being wrong and giving wrong info. Im totally confused on how it works. I thought neg rep points were involved with reporting posts

Go to the top left of any page and click on "User CP" and you can see who thanked you or who gave you Neg Rep...

Fleur..................maxd is just doing his job, don't take the neg reps so seriously. I think maxd just got a bit irritated that it took more than once to get your attention.............or I may be totally wrong, who knows? CM's rules are there for a reason and when you see other boards without those rules you'll see why they are so necessary. I really really doubt it is a personal attack on you, Fleur............actually maxd is a softie! (sorry max for letting the cat out of the bag...................)

Mercy (pun intended), I received a negative rep for being a conservative!

Oh bother.

Old Attachment (Invalid)

Hell-o, I got neg rep from some dude who didn't like the answer I found for him from a freakin casino website! Had nothing to do with me, dude was just confused how rep works..............

Fleur.. don't get yourself banned over this.. I got one from Maxd too!!:D

I was "totally out of line".;).. (and for that I appologize), it wasn't meant to sound the way it did., but then again I was ticked off at the time. So.. it happens. I think IMO We become so consumed and passionate about a subject.. that we just kinda lose it!

Thank you for showing me my place. Your help and concern are truly appreciated.

Fleur, if you knew how concerned I am/was for your well-being, it would soften the blow of what I'm going to say.

That above statement portrays you as some sort of "victim". No one is out to get you, and I'm sure you are far from the worst forum member. Your posts are public record, and it's much more than just having one bad day or making one post that you regret. I think that's the point Max was trying to make in #4, about rewriting history. It's more than just your original thread.

I so wish that you could see there is real help out there, if you would just take the first step. But....obviously, it's going to be your decision and no one can tell you what to do, or make it for you. I honest to God hope that you realize that, sooner rather than later.

Fleur-De-Lis,

If my memory is even close to right, you first showed up here and started a thread that totally upset and "freaked out" many Casinomeister members. They rallied round with suggestions and all kinds of caring support, only to have you continue on your merry path of gambling and denial, I would say showing your addiction to the "sport".

Max has been fair and honest with you, he has used his "power", the same power we all have, to let people know they are either out of line or out of control, letting their emotions carry them away.

It is NOT personal, it is Max doing "his job" as moderator. Sometimes I am sure he finds it unpleasant, especially when it is a nice person, such as yourself, but......he needs to play fair with everyone. His negative rep points are no more than a heads up, a hint for you to take a step back and look at yourself and how you are presenting yourself to your fellow forum members.

Just my two cents.

Well Fleur, I thanked your post... that will give you a little reputation back. Last night I drank too much and got into an argument with my housemates BF... she was more upset than he was, I've known him longer. It's a long haul, and what a bunch of online folks (albeit fine:thumbsup:) think is not what matters long term in your life.

Ok, I suppose I should say a few words here on this.

@babs: Yes, it's true, anyone can give neg rep for a post as Rob explained.

@???: AFAIK, a given member can only give (neg) reputation once per post. I may be wrong about that, and there is the exception that you can give rep and "Thanks" a post, which would both count towards the total rep given.

@Fleur: I gave you the neg rep because (a) I'm serious about what I said and I want you to know it, (b) it's a way for us to show the OP that a specific post is not in keeping with the policies and practices we encourage here while keeping that particular citation private, and (c) I am deeply concerned that the way you are going here at Casinomeister is very, very wrong.

For instance, by starting this thread and posting a Visitor Message on my profile page you obviously intend to be very public about your dislike over the neg rep. You could have PM'd me and I would have explained there, but instead you chose to post about it and that's more about pressure and manipulation than it is about wanting to know what's up.

I believe all this stems from the PAB you pitched some time ago that ... well, let's just say you didn't get what you wanted from it. Since then you've posted at least once, in public, implying that I had been remiss in dealing with that PAB properly.

If a PAB doesn't go the way you want it to you should not assume that the PAB guy is your enemy and that you should take that battle to the boards. That, in part, is what some of the neg rep was for ... and that's completely appropriate if you ask me.

AFAIC this all boils down to one thing: your relationship to your gambling is a troubled one. You've said as much yourself. I am not your problem and I believe you are seriously confusing your priorities by behaving as if I am.

Furthermore, since I am a moderator here, you should take any complaints you have about me to my boss, not drag them out onto the boards. That is disruptive and divisive and it misses the key point that the members don't supervise my work here, Bryan does. He's the one you should turn to if you have issues with me or my work here.

You started this thread by asking, rhetorically perhaps, if you were the "worst offender" at CM. No, obviously not, those people are on the permanent ban list.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and Close this thread: your questions have been answered, any further issues of this nature should be taken to Bryan, and I don't see that any good end will be served by leaving this open for debate. PM me if you disagree.

I was out all last week in Barcelona, and I'm just getting back into the swing of things. I've reopened this thread to discuss this a bit more.

The reputation thing is a way where each and every member can take part in awarding or take away points. The more points you receive, the more power you have to give or take. When you do give or take away points, you are given the opportunity to comment on why. Comments can be found in your User CP.

Giving "Thanks" awards members wiht 5 points and no comment is given. You cannot "thank" and give rep points for the same post. It's either one or the other. Moderators can only give or take away 15 points (so we can't be accused of abusing our almighty power :D)

There is more about this here:

If you aren't happy about receiving neg points, then take a look at what you posted. If you feel members are ganging up on you, then alert a moderator or myself to investigate. Abusing the reputation tool is a nogo in Casinomeisterland.

But if you receive negative reputation points from a moderator, please step back and take a look on what/how you are posting. If you don't like what the moderator is saying or if you think he is wrong in doing so, then take it up with me. Posting these comments in the forum is disruptive and divisive.

@Fleur-De-Lis - please don't play the victim. Another thing, no one is banned from Casinomeister's forum because "we don't like you"; that's too subjective. Members are banned for violating the forum rules. There are several ways to do this: spamming, flaming members repeatedly, commit player fraud, post bogus complaints, etc. It's all right here:
https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/help/

Members can also opt out of the forum if they feel that participating is contributing to their gambling probs. Some members have a hard time controlling themselves, and if they ask for assistance, I'll do what it takes to help them out - even if it mean doing what I can to disallow them from participating here.

I'd like to share something with you real quick. This is from a member who asked me to close his account and never let him back in - I received this yesterday via Youtube:

Good to see you finally got your webcast going. It's been nearly 3 months now since I quit gambling and life has really turned around for me. It wasn't until I quit that I realised just how much of a hold gambling had on me. Thinking back on it now it's hard for me to see why I ever gambled in the first place.

It's a shame I can't share my success with other members of casinomeister. Now that I have quit and knowing how great it feels, I can't help but feel I want to help other people quit too.

Anyway, I finally bought a Fender Strat! Cost a damn fortune but worth every penny! :D I could never have afforded it if I had never quit gambling so you can see why I'm feeling on top of the world!

Well, I'm sharing his success with you right now. Some of you may want to reread his words, pick up a mirror, and look at it.

On the lighter side,

Let's give Bryan neg rep points and even if he reciprocates, we still win as he can only give -15 points.:D:D

Inspiring!!

Now THAT is truly awesome and inspiring Bryan. I appreciate you sharing that with the forum. I'd rather read one message like that, than look at 100 pretty pictures in the Winning Screenshots forum.

Yea, I totally agree Pina, I love to hear the stories like this where one of us has shaken this psycho gambling monkey that constantly rides our back, we all may have help in quitting soon though if the world economy does not start to turn around for the better purdy soon as we all may end up working at the toilet paper factory...

with so many places....why did you choose the toilet paper factory?:D

It's irony Kakata...because there will always be a need for that business no matter how many other businesses fail...people will always have to have toilet paper...hence, no layoffs...:D
