Ok i have just been playing the new slot at 3dice i got the feture and was up to 70 odd spins at 30p a spin and had ammassed the grand total of 2 quid odd this was with the extra multiplyer of 2x i then lost connection to the server so i logged back on and got the screenshot below.

So in total i went about 220 spins with the extra double multiplyer at 30p a spin and was rewarded with 21 pound this seems rediculously low what is everyone else experiencing with this slot.

Surely my return should be this bad as only 1 win made up about 15 quid in one spin so i got a return of about 6 quid on the other 119 spins.

That slot is definitely in a league of it's own, I spun it most of the weekend and didn't even win as many quid as you did my friend...I went 189 spins one time on .30 cent bet ($56.70 Wagered) and won something like $21.00 dollars I believe, I didn't have any trouble at all getting into the spin mode but the problem was once I was in it could not hit anything decent !!

I think this one needs to be rated "Extremely High Variance" :eek2:

I have to agree with that Rob. This slot is treating me the same way as payola does. Free spin features easily attainable but nothing won in the end.

I've had both ends of the spectrum on this one. Many bonus rounds that have paid 100X my bet or more, and many bonus rounds where I have won absolutely zero.

yes this does seem one very sucky machine all the rest of the 3dice slots i have had some good wins from but this one just doesent have any returns at all it says high variance but i just cant see any good wins on it at all 220 spins all with extra double multiplyer and i still dont get 100 times my bet i guess im just to damn greedy or have experinced the greatness of the five butterflies. i just hope they ditch this slot after halloween.

To be honest I am veru dissapointed in this slot! Just like the previous slot that arrived, I must admit I have this feeling I am playing a very unfinnished slot! The graphics is just weak in my opinion, just because it's 3D doesn't really help much. The sounds effects also is very unpolished in my opinion!

What's up with the coinsize and + - symbols on the slots?

I would hope for 3Dice to enlist a few more people to their development on the slots, as I suspect a person or two more would do wonders!

I know developing such games are timeconsuming, but if the math is in place - the rest is just visualization which most people can do. I would hope that the new slot's really does something with the increasing decreasing system of the wagering since it's really timeconsuming. Especially if you play a lot of tournaments you will notice the problems surrounding this.

Otherwise, kudos for making new slots - however I would love for a little more...

I'm not a big fan of the newer slots at 3Dice to be honest. I think they've caved under the pressure of so many complaints about high variance. From my experience, and I have so much of it, you're better off putting it all on the line on a very high variance slot like TuT. It's a make or break situation, no doubt, but if you're fortunate enough to hit the bonus on these super-high variance slots, at least you have a chance.

You can fool around all you want on Slotronica or Payola, but you're most likely just spinning your wheels. Three steps forward..two steps back. A game like Tut is very explosive at times, as well as Happy Valley..and if you're timing is right, it will either reward you beyond your wildest dreams, but it can also break you quicker than shit..but be assured of this..High variance means that MOST of the time you will walk away unhappy.

What are you expecting? IMAX quality slots?? I think the graphics and sound effects in this slot are very unique and quite good...

As far as payouts are concerned, that's another story...

i agree winbig, the graphics are very good, i had a decent run on the first day or two, then it all seemed to go to pot,i even sent a .9 cent bonus win to 3 dice screenshots to be a smartass and to show my displeasure over the payouts...........

Only if they expect me to play the slot! If not - it doesn't really matter! It's the same as developing a software, if I don't make a great user experience people will not use it! There are several mistakes in my opinion on this slot, I'd love to do an analizys for the the slot - however I would charge by the hours for this work! There are so much room for improovement on this slot that it almosts hurts!

To be honest the slot looks like it's made my one person - a single person team, and that person does not know graphics very well, he knows 3D, but he/she is not very good in the vizualization department. The last three slots all looks like they are made by the same person - which by the way has great ideas for slots - however he needs a course in design and usability! The preivious slots seems more polished, are themed much better and have much better quality in the graphics department.

Maby it's me, or the graphics team were sacked or they wanted to save money by not using them!

Had you put this slot on the floors on a real casino I do not belive people had cared to wager at it.

It's my opinion - you do not have to agree! I work hard for my money, and I expect my services to be top notch! Nothing wrong about that! They didn't however ask for my opinion, so I might aswell not give it.

3Dice has several slots that are very good, so I'm not complaining on all their slots!

I played this new one for the first time last night, and all I can say is WOW!

The graphics on this baby are totally out of this world! The sounds are brilliant too - overall an amazing achievement by the development team! :notworthy

I've never seen anything like this (it took me quite a while to realise it was slowly zooming in & out) - I was so transfixed watching the graphics that I hardly noticed if I was winning anything or not... but maybe that's the idea!

As for the pays: They describe it as high variance, but my session last night was definitely low variance. To start with I got the free-spins on my very first pull, and then I got them about 6 more times in I'd say about 200 pulls..?
Most combinations pay pretty small - even in the free-spins which are at x1 (unless triggered with the x2 symbol in view). But the free-spins can go on for ages! My best was 40 spins returning just over bet x 43, my worst just 3 spins returning $0!
I was about $40 up at one point, but quit the slot dead level.

As for playability and entertainment... 9.0/10

I've deducted 0.5 of a point because of 3Dice's moronic insistence on setting all their slots to just 1 payline when you load it up. This is the only software I can think of who do this - and IMO it's bloody stupid!

The other 0.5 of a point was because I was hearing the 'chime' of the scatters landing before the relevant reel stopped spinning. In other words I could hear the the free-spins were about to start or stop before I saw the triggering symbols. This spoiled the game a bit for me.

Play it for three or four days with some fairly long sessions and then come back and tell us what you think...seriously, I would like to really know your thoughts on it after you play like I stated above

Ah this sounds like my type of slot! Think I'll have to go have a play this week  I saw a preview of it about 3 or 4 months ago and must say he graphics looked like they were going to be impressive.

lol - yeah it's kinda trippy the way it comes at you...I actually really like this slot as far as the sound and graphics - I haven't had much luck with it on payouts, so far I've actually done better just in the regular game rounds than on the free spins. I've had lousy runs and really good runs on all the games at 3Dice, so I'm assuming that eventually I'll have a good run on this one too.

Speaking of trippy, is it just me or does the black heart kinda look like Jay Leno?

 I was kinda thinking the same thing the other day...

Well i think the slot is very entertaining. Personally i too would rate it (so far) as low varience but entertaining and your money seemed to last quite a while on it. I daresay there is a potential for big wins on it, but not me not yet lol Graphically very impressive, originality impressive, overall design impressive. i do beleve there was more scope for the free spin bonus however, they could have done it a little more with it instead of just watching endless spins go on and not winning anything, but as i said myabe i just havent been lucky on it yet. Overall tho i like this slot

after a long absence from 3dice, i have had a chance to try out the new games and am still astonished how they can come up with such unique and creative games. having played minimally at microgaming and rivals the last six months, the new 3dice games are certainly a breath of fresh air. especially impressed with the payola game and the audio aspects of it. the circuit game is a little visually confusing for me. the newest one has great graphics and sounds (now i know why i have a bose system attached to my computer!) but the endless spins of blanks can get a little boring. definitely seems to give "more for the buck" in terms of playtime which is important for many people, myself included.

would be nice to see some games with expanding wilds and secondary bonuses to change the pace a little.

Hi Guys,

Thanks everyone for the feedback, the time and effort spent in structuring your thoughts is very much so appreciated. The Slotronomicon slot was a challenge for the team, and honoring the spirit and mood from H.P. Lovecraft's

on which it is based was very important. Judging from the feedback I received (here and on the chat), I think the team managed to pull it off and create a slot that has a realistic creepy feel to it.

As far as gameplay goes, this slot was a challenge to balance. The idea of using the same triggering mechanism and the same reels to both stop and start the feature implies that at least 50% of the slots payout comes from freespins. Add the wild multipliers to this and it is easy to see that this very setup puts even more of the payout in the feature. To balance this and make sure this machine didn't become more variant than supersuits - we decided to go for a frequent feature (on average once every 38 spins). By doing this, the feature becomes a part of the normal playthrough, occurring much more frequently and with a proportional lower average payout. The big kicks get shifted to those features that are started with the x2 or x4 wild multipliers. IMHO, the resulting gameplay is very interesting .. in our other slots a single event is almost guarantee of a big payout (hitting the scatters in supersuits), but in this slot it is the aligning of several more frequent events that will give the big kicks. (freespins with wilds, and wilds during those spins .. ). In playthrough simulations used to measure variance, it finds itself above payola and fortune falls, but below the other slot machines. It could be argued that it should be the highest 'medium variance' one instead of the lowest 'high variance' one ..

Hi Kim,

I took the liberty of looking at your traces and noticed you are running 3Dice inside a virtual machine  .. this means you get the compatibility mode, that does not use all the fancy hardware in your computer resulting in drastically reduced graphics quality and general playability.

Our uninstall procedure is hyper-clean - it will not leave a single registry key or file on your machine, our installer adds nothing to your autostart and puts no files in windows directories whatsoever. (only in the 3Dice program dir). 3Dice has no dependencies on any microsoft libraries and will not require any additional installs (eg mfc dll's etc ..). If you uninstall it its gone. You have my word on that. Please enjoy our games the way they are designed to be - with 3D acceleration hardware available.

I would hope that the new slot's really does something with the increasing decreasing system of the wagering since it's really timeconsuming. Especially if you play a lot of tournaments you will notice the problems surrounding this.

Are you aware that right-clicking the coin +- or lines +- will increase or decrease them 5 at a time ?

Hi KK,

Thank you for the review, and point well taken. I will make sure that both these issues get addressed.

Kindest Regards,

Enzo
