Good spot, something doesn't look right - I'll get the guys to check it, thanks for letting me know!

Edit: Initial checks suggest that for some reason the top player is not being displayed, RUSTYROO is actually in second place at the moment.

I won't name any names in case my bodged report is correct, but it looks like the leader currently has 249,972 points. I'll wait for the IT guys to confirm.

This "stealth mode" happens when a player has yet to deposit that month, and plays on their prize money and other funds in the account. If the player has deposited, the issue may be the deposit method used, it not being picked up by the systems that feed the scoreboard.

I have occasionally (and deliberately) used my prize for a couple of days of "stealth mode", and when I eventually deposit, I suddenly appear with a significant score.

I believe one rule of the Slotsmeister is that in order to be eligible for a prize, a player must have made at least one deposit that month.

This may be down to the possibility that the entire month's play could be funded from the daily MPV freerolls, and with the tournament prize only having 5x WR, advantage play is possible.

Well, I probably made over 100 deposits in July.

In the past, I have played on my prize money, and despite others showing up, I have not appeared on the leaderboard. Only when I made a deposit did I appear. This was when players with an average bet of less than 0.10 still appeared, but would be disqualified manually if they didn't reach the 0.10 average. I actually benefitted one month after finishing second, but then being bumped up to first due to the disqualification of a player with a 1 million+ score, but who didn't achieve the 0.10 average.

I will have to test this again, as maybe things have now changed along with the change that means players don't appear unless they meet the 0.10 average.

However, this opens the door to a new stealth mode tactic, playing just below the 0.10 average for most of the month, and then chucking through some bigger bets to push the average past 0.10, whereupon a very high score would suddenly appear from nowhere. Something else I will have to try

Ram min 4gig, 8gig+ much better.
CPU i5 good, i7 excellent.
Not sure if a SSD v HDD would give much improvement. If it did imo it would be negligible.

Ran a small sample on my box with 8 slot games active. Running these on auto for 10 hours, I'd achieve around 220K in spins.

Is there a maximum number of slots you can run?
If not, at some point, depending on system grunt, running too many games simultaneously would be counter productive.

Making a few system tweaks specifically for this tournament would likely help. What they are, I ain't telling

The games don't seem to use the GPU, so it's largely irrelevant. There is no longer a limit to the number of games that can be run, the limit is based on the processor, as when it runs at 100%, there is no point in opening further games.

I will have to come out of stealth mode eventually, or I might not qualify.

In 18 months, I could get a PC twice as fast, and then maybe 400K spins in 10 hours.

Unfortunately, the fastest slots have a higher min stake than the 7 I usually use.

The ultimate target is of course to beat the highest ever score, which was well over a million.

It was five, but after the redesign of the lobby it seems to be unlimited. How many you can actually run though depends on how fast your PC is. Once you get CPU up to 100%, there is nothing to gain from opening further games.

Remember, we are BOTH in stealth mode this month

I just thought it was kinda not very "adult" i.e. the sort of thing a spotty-faced teenager would get his jollies from whilst sitting at the PC in his underwear surrounded by 8 different PCs and 2 sets of every game console known to man. Before anyone gets snotty....I am NOT saying this is VWM...I am saying that the whole "stealth mode" thing is just...well...juvenile and silly.

If someone wants to spend $1000 to win $500, then let them I say. However, I always saw this monthly tourney as "a bit of fun" that allows members to compete in a friendly way to win a few bucks. Personally, the idea that someone would deliberately "hide" their spin count to win a (normally) $250 tournament top prize goes against the "spirit" of the whole thing.

I don't know. Maybe I've got it all wrong, but this kind of "tactic" kinda spoils the whole thing for me. Doing it just to "unseat the young upstarts"...really?

Anyhow, thanks once again to Mark and 32Red. I would actually be nice to have a different kind of tournament at some point, where players of all levels can have a chance e.g. an actual tournament in the software with re-buys "earned" via wagering over the previous three weeks, with the actual tourney being held in the last week of the month. Just a thought, but i know that many members (me included) will never win a prize in this tourney, even though we are loyal and regular depositors.

I just thought it was kinda not very "adult" i.e. the sort of thing a spotty-faced teenager would get his jollies from whilst sitting at the PC in his underwear surrounded by 8 different PCs and 2 sets of every game console known to man. Before anyone gets snotty....I am NOT saying this is VWM...I am saying that the whole "stealth mode" thing is just...well...juvenile and silly.

If someone wants to spend $1000 to win $500, then let them I say. However, I always saw this monthly tourney as "a bit of fun" that allows members to compete in a friendly way to win a few bucks. Personally, the idea that someone would deliberately "hide" their spin count to win a (normally) $250 tournament top prize goes against the "spirit" of the whole thing.

I don't know. Maybe I've got it all wrong, but this kind of "tactic" kinda spoils the whole thing for me. Doing it just to "unseat the young upstarts"...really?

Anyhow, thanks once again to Mark and 32Red. I would actually be nice to have a different kind of tournament at some point, where players of all levels can have a chance e.g. an actual tournament in the software with re-buys "earned" via wagering over the previous three weeks, with the actual tourney being held in the last week of the month. Just a thought, but i know that many members (me included) will never win a prize in this tourney, even though we are loyal and regular depositors.

EVERY wagering tournament is based on risking more than the prizes on offer, it has always been like this. If anything, the Slotsmeister is one of the best when compared to the others that also offer a £500 top prize, but score on total wager, rather than number of games played.

I just had to prove to the doubters that the existence of "stealth mode" is not simply the imaginings of my over inflated cranium, but an actual, if obscure, feature of how the Slotsmeister has always operated. It's actually easier due to the addition of a new feature in the scoring, that of only showing scores once the average bet has reached 0.10
