32red have updated the sports betting site and it looks great and more variety to bet on , but there's still 1 problem , the minimum bet is £5 . $5 . etc which is ridiculous , no other betting site has that high minimum bet , i thought they may have lowered it with the release of their new sports site. iv'e spoke to a few people and its putting people off , they are losing customers because of this , people would rather bet on other sites where there is no minimum bet. such a shame as 32red is one of the best apart from this....

*i know i have put this in casino forum thats because the "sportsbook information" part of the forum seems dead , no post since 2013- i'm worried incase people don't see it if i put it there and i hope it doesnt get moved there* apologies if it causes offence that i put it here.

I don't have full details, but I do know that all online gambling sites have to fork out a lot in money processing costs, and of course, even more in overheads, so to me a £5 minimum on Sports betting does not sound unreasonable at all as their margins on that amount must be very small.

You know what to do of course - place your bets somewhere else that has a lower limit.

Good luck!

True but it is competing against sportsbooks like Hills and Lads that offer customisable low bet sizes (e.g.two pounds twenty four etc.)

Against this, 32 Red sportsbook prices have been really good. Last week I bet on a good few horses on 32 Red (before the changes) and the prices were far better than Lads, almost as good as exchange prices

The new site looks good, hopefully the good horse prices remain. We will see.

As a player who has made huge bets of a couple hundred euros all the way to thousand euros at 32Red, I never did really mind regarding the minimum stake of 5 euros/pounds. However, in their defence... they do offer the best odds in almost every market. Even higher than most competitors.

Before the update my complaints were mainly about the limited markets, but I see they increased the markets significantly after their deal with a new provider. All I'm missing at 32Red right now is promotions regarding Sportsbetting. I think all I ever received in 2 years were two emails with free bets (refund when losing a bet), which I never took.

Others like Unibet and Bwin do have sportsbook promotions on regular basis, but then again offer quite lower odds. Hopefully they will improve that part in the future as well, since 32Red is great in multiple aspects. But they can always be even better!

it is unreasonable , there is no other site with that high minimum bet. it's simply too high. as i said there's absolutely no doubt that they are losing customers because of this.

I would have to agree with Ad7777 as all other sits have lower stakes available. I don't mind betting higher as I normally put more than a £5 on a line anyway but for certain fun bets ie over under goals etc id normally just put a couple of pound on the acc as no point wasting £5 on it. And on horses etc I put on bets more than a £5 on horses so no problems there but I like to sometimes just put like a 25p lucky 15 for £3.75 on horses so obviously you cant do it there. So I use other sports sites and for me I can handle the £5 minimum but I know l lot of people do just put on bets lower than a fiver so 32red would lose them. Remember a lot of people play casinos and transfer the odd few pound to sports to stick on a horse and some people don't like putting more than that on a horse.

Didn't I read just a few posts back that Mark said it wasn't suppose to be that low?
It can be just a problem with AD7777's account or something else is wrong.

Better to wait for another reply from 32Red maybe;)

its certainly not a problem with my account as iv'e spoken with other people about the minimum bet and they agree that it's too high too.

spot on! i also bet sometimes more than £5 but sometimes i want to do £1.25 each way or £2 accumulator etc and thats why i also use another site most of the time...

...and what does 32Red say then since you choose to ignore Marks post?
I just have to assume you've talked to them.

Well , ive now placed a bet that was lower then the £5/$5 minimum bet! so i guess that is no longer a problem anymore. i'm happy and so will alot of other customers too , they must have got rid of the £5/$5 minimum bet with the new sports website a few days ago...

i tried to pm Mark but it says his private messages are full and he cant receive any until he deletes some!

but thanks Mark if you had any involvement in this

Thanks Ad7777 - inbox now cleared.

I'd love to say I fixed it but I couldn't replicate, I can only imagine this was picked up by our technical guys and fixed before I got to it.

Glad it's working for you now, thanks for letting me know.

Mark
