Anyone else noticed the sharp rise in bonus WR's at 32Red in April?

The monthly $50 bonus WR has gone up from x30 to x40
The Slots only S.U.B. WR has gone up from (D+B)x20 to x25
And the 'all games' S.U.B. WR up from (D+B)x30 to x50!

This now makes them one of the most unattractive MG's to join on the net.
Maybe they're happy with the number of players they already have...

Yah, I noticed too when it dropped out of my top 10.

I guess the feeling is mutual as I didn't get the bonus invite this month =/

-z-

it may have something to do with their recent stock IPO

stock was up over 3% today on news that slotmachine doesn't play keno here

but seriously, it would not be unusual for a casino to try and pump up their numbers with promos prior to going public and then ease back a bit after the stock sale (of course they would never admit to that)

maybe a smart move to cut back on the promos now so if the US govt manages to take a whack at them, they can crank up the promos for other countries and maintain profits.

that's my 2 cents.....but if you saw my stock picking performance, you would probably not listen

Over 80% of their customers are UK based - this is what makes it an attractive proposition for me in light of all the US nonsense... I typed up some fundamentals on a thread somewhere else a bit ago.

Seems strange that they'd change some terms and conditions without telling anyone though...

Does this affect the Club Rouge match also?...

Really? I have a screenshot from when I talked with support yesterday confirming that the WR fo the $50 monthly bonus was still $2,000. (20x) I can post it if you want.

edit: ugh, I have the wrong SS. I just took the one where I confirmed I cleared the WR.
But it was 'Nick' who confirmed the $2,000 WR for the monthly bonus.

Yes (D+B)x20 = Bx40 = $2,000 - sorry my post was not clear! :p

I don't know about Club Rouge - not been invited in yet (and not likely to be now! )

Club Rouge

Club Rouge's WR on the $/ 132 match has indeed gone up to $/ 5,000.

5000 is equivalent to a little under 19x D+B With all Blackjack games allowed this is not unreasonable, although a little harsh on slots players maybe. It used to be around 15x at 3500.

In comparison, the Intercasino UK monthly match has WR of 25x D+B with Blackjack allowed but WR carried over.

32Red are probably trying not to be an easy touch for bonus hunters as other casinos tighten terms on wagering. With shares listed, they need to live up to promises made in the prospectus, but don't want to be hit by a swarm of bonus whores and deal with it in the "unprofessional" manner exhibited by some casinos. At 32Red, the bonus is by invitation. An invitation will not come if you "abuse" too many of the monthly matches, but bonuses already granted will not be confiscated by using the "do as we like" clauses.

Inter is Bx25 only = (D+B)x12.5

As the 32Red monthly is by invitation, as you say, I don't see why they had to jack it up for everyone. All they had to do was not give it to the 'abusers'.
I mostly play slots only at MG's, so (D+B)x15 was already hard for me, x20 makes it not even worth bothering with any more :(

It is 25x bonus only, and if you lose half of your own money, the WR is not carried over to the next month.

It is not a great bonus anymore. I played quite a bit last month, but stopped when I cleared this month.

I guess they have good customer service there, but I never had to ask for anything besides the bonus.

Pretty sure they have enough players at this point. If not then they at least have enough positive publicity.

I think the door is now open (slightly ajar anyways) for other casinos to claim the throne.

Really

I thought it was always carried.
I lost the lot last month, so hopefully I will not have to complete the remaining third of the WR this month.
I also stand corrected, the 25x is on the bonus 50 (1250). The reward at Littlewoods is better at 1000 for the free 50 (Crap CS though).

Crap CS as in I am still waiting for a reply from management on the problems over Christmas 2005. Each time I phone support, they pass it on as there is nothing they can fix themselves. Communicating directly with "management" is not allowed & there is no rep here. They must excuse me therefore for just playing for the free 50 and the 5 tourneys till I get said reply (or get banned!).

At least with Intercasino, I can E-mail Jane directly (and get a reply) if I get a problem that CS cannot fix.

There is no doubt Intercasino has the best monthly bonus IMHO. By a mile.

32 Red jacking their WR's is not surprising.

Why do you find it not surprising?
I find it extremely surprising!

It's not like Will Hills automatic bonus, 32Red's is by invite only and is supposed to reward loyal players who do not use out and out 'abusing' tactics. The abusers can easily be excluded.
In January they upped the monthly bonus from $32 to $50, which looked like a conscious effort to encourage more returning loyal players - this latest move looks just the opposite.
If I take a bonus with low WR I am quite happy to use it in the spirit it is given - playing high risk games like slots, stud, let it ride, etc... and just see how my luck goes.
But if a bonus has high WR I can understand why players use low-risk tactics - because that's almost the only way to have any chance of winning with it.
High WR just encourages more 'bonus abuse', not less.
Just my 2c....

If they're not in Amsterdam this weekend - Hopefully Pat or Ed will pop up with a few comments!...

I don't think it's a problem for me personally, but I find it surprising!

I mean because the overall trend of online casinos is to increase WR's on bonuses so its not surprising to me.

It seems that 32Red is trying to possition itself as a casino for the big rollers with incentives directed towards this type of players as aposed to InterCasino who offer large bonuses for everyone. 32 Red has build up a large base of players that play regularly and they can afford to miss out on the bonushunters. Of course they would like to expand their amount of players, but the focus seems to be on quality instead of quantity. It looks like 32 Red works from the logic that a long term profitable online casino operation primarally needs to focus on creating an envionment that attracts and caters for the big rollers that play for fun and enjoyment as well as financial gain.

Thanks to everyone for their views on the new Monthly Match structure. It was with some reluctance that we increased the betting requirements for this bonus and we have to take it on the chin that the change is not popular with some players. However, we do not believe that we have made the Monthly Match an unattractive offer and I would like to put the following to the Forum:

as Vinylweatherman points out the overall offer is still reasonable
we do not carry over any wagering from one month to the other, unlike many other casinos
there are very few games restrictions, again unlike many other operators
we have increased the cash value of the bonus some 56% since the turn of the year, but only increased the betting requirements by 33%

I would like to add that, whilst high rollers are always very welcome, 32Red is not pitching itself towards that group of players exclusively. We aim to deliver on player support, reliability and trustworthiness for all our players new and old, high and low spending alike. I think it is interesting that in the offline world very often a premium product comes with a premium price. However, as an Internet-based casino specialist we can (and we try our utmost to) offer a premium service to all our customers irrespective of their spending profile.

Given my time again we would have made more of the changes to the Monthly Match and that point, made particularly by Slotster, is very much taken on board.

As ever, we are grateful to the Forum Members for their views and feedback. You have made us step back and consider where we are and what we are doing; the viewpoint of the player has always been critical to how we do things at 32Red.

Best wishes

Thanks for the response Ed! Very much appreciated!

I don't think I've ever tried to keep track of a wagering requirement in terms of withdrawing - so it doesn't really affect me anyhow! (I did check once to find I'd gone through it about seven times ahem.. )

It does seem like a subject close to a lot of peoples hearts however, so I was surprised if anything had changed dramatically and they didn't know about it! That said, it isn't a dramatic change as you say - and you posted it in your terms and conditions seemingly at the beginning of the month - which is more than fair!

Now, back to more important matters, any chance you could flick the win switch back on at Ladies Nite please? Not sure if the cleaner maybe knocked it off when unplugging the hoover? If you could remedy this oversight immediately, I'd be extremely grateful :D

Thanks for your comment Ed

I never calculate my wagering requirements at 32Red casino.
If i win enough, then i just ask, am i able to cashout (if i claimed a bonus).
And if i just want to play, then it is just entertainment for me.

And if you are a loyal customer at 32Red, you will get some special bonuses,
with 0 wagering requirements.

Thanks Ed, Pat and 32Red Team
