Hey all, not sure if some of you are aware that 32Red holds a "Be The Bounty" tourney every Saturday afternoon/evening? Prize pool starts at $1000, and the buy-in is $10. They usually get around 60 or 70 players playing, so the odds are pretty good. First prize is around $300 (I think). But the best part is that today, there are additional bounties on both Pat and Nick from 32Red, $50 each to whoever knocks them out. :D

There are also bounties on three or four other people (last week's top finishers I think), that total around $400 or so.

I've played in a couple of them, but I'm already registered for today's. Can't miss an opportunity to kick a casino manager's butt if possible...he he. It's at 9:30 UK time, 4:30 EST. Would be great to see if anyone from here could join up as well....would make it alot more fun. Just a thought. It's under Multi-Table Tournaments, Special...called BTB. :)

Cool whoosh!! I know, I just checked and only 35 people. Top eight places pay, in addition to 6 bounties....I like those odds.

And just to be clear, there is no bounty on me, so you can be nice to me. :p

I'm a fishie too KK, lol. Glad you joined up!! This should be fun. I just want one of us to get Pat, and bragging rights, he he.....

She's too modest to brag so I'll have to do this:

WTFG you, well played and congrats!:thumbsup:

Thanks guys!! Sorry I couldn't bring the crown home to CM, lol. I had to go all in on that last hand with A,5.....we could have been going back and forth there all night. I'll settle for 2nd and $200 though. And I wish I could have gotten to play at the same table as some of you.

Looking forward to the next CM tourney.

You guys should feel free to use this emoticon whenever you feel it is appropriate, lol. Perhaps we should ask Bryan to add it permanently to the list, for easy access....he he. :D :p

Pina,
Make sure you are not involved in other chores. You missed the last tourney because of this if I remember correctly.

Next Saturday, I'll Be IT!!

Hey guys, lots of warning this time. Next Saturday, I will be one of the bounties. The prize for knocking me out will be either $50 or $100...I think $100. So in case anyone is interested, it's at the same time....4:30 p.m. EST, 9:30 p.m. UK time..Saturday, June 16th. Sorta feel like a tweety bird with Sylvester the cat sitting there licking his lips. ;)

Yeah and we all know tweety wins everytime ;)

Congrat's to you.

pina, you should really think of playing the wsop ladies event next year. the competition at the final table yesterday was softer than in the 32red tourney.

great fold-festival, almost no flop seen. one comment was "There have been more laydowns here than at a Paris Hilton Pool Party ..... and you can throw in Britney Spears too". :D

only good player was katja thater but she made an unlucky call with 10s against the cowboys of Sally Anne Boyer (who played 4(!) hands in 3(!!!) hours)

Thanks whoosh. You're not the first person who has suggested it. I'm still a relative newbie to the online version, about a year and a half. But I have played poker for years in real life. If I can get one more top three finish in a decent sized event, I may think about it. I may even convince myself that it's not just a fluke, lol. I still think I could have won that last week, short stack or not. I just got sick and tired of waiting the guy out. Plus, I was tired and hungry, not a good combo.

FYI, there is a bounty on me on Saturday...$100. I'll probably post the tourney in Online Casinos as well, maybe tomorrow or Friday, if it's okay with CM and Simmo. Love to see some of you guys there, and maybe even at my table.

I'll put up half if you haul you ass down to next year's womens event Pina, that's a promise!

It would be fun railing you and shouting *********, ******* and ******* full strength!

Maybe the CM communitay will chip in and make you play, it's only about ~$2600 for a trip and a chair

Prepare yourself!

$2,600? LOL.....may as well be 26 million if that's the case. I'd have to quit gambling for a year period, as that's about my whole budget. Hmmm......maybe 32Red would sponsor me? They sponsor a soccer team that doesn't do shit, don't they? He he he....J/K.

Like I said, if I can get another top three finish or two, I'll think about taking it a step further. Thanks for the support though guys!! You're all the best. What's the prize money like for the ladies version? And how high would I have to finish to recoup at least my entry?

Do it Pinababy!
It would be great to cheer you on. You would be the best supported player there.
Have faith in your own ability and go for it.

The buy-in is $1500 for the bi....womens event. I'm in for $750 if you do play and demand a 1% juice if you cash ;)(see, I'm not a mob guy ). I think we can raise enough and if we do, will you play? It's all in good fun, just a hoot for us all!

And stop sneaking in under the radar! ;-)

I would just be so worried about getting knocked out real early, and embarrassing myself. Of course, the fear of embarrassment has never stopped me from doing anything before...ha ha. :D

I promise you, if I won any decent prize money, I would be more than happy to share a portion of it with a few people here.

You know, I just may talk to Pat about it, lol. What advertising it would be for them if I were to wear some of their snappy 32Red merchandise!!

God, I'd have to get my treadmill and stairclimber out, and get in shape. Have to look purty for everyone.

As long as they're black, with 32Red emblazoned down the sides. :D

Are we getting closer? Pina? Will you play? :D

You guys have me thinking Swede, most definitely.

the payout structure is nice:

Great link, thanks.

You guys aren't kidding are you? I am so flattered, I really am. I will definitely have to give it more thought. I want to play some more, I mean serious play. When I'm not tired or hungry, or have my six year old running around.

I just got a PM from another member here, who said he's in if I want to do it. He also supplied me with a great link to an article that discusses women poker players, and what's different about playing against all women, as opposed to a mixed bag. Food for thought for sure.

One of my concerns is playing against all women. I told a friend of mine last Saturday night that the tourney last week felt like a real battle from the first hand. It was not easy for me. And part of that was the woman that was at my table from the first hand. She gave me absolute fits. I was getting really shitty cards, but would attempt to play some marginal ones on my blinds, etc. Every friggin time I checked, or called, this woman raised. If I raised, she re-raised me. And I don't believe she had me beat everytime, but I folded anyway, and filed it away for future reference. I knew my turn would come, and it did. She made the final table as well, with around the same amount of chips as me. I knocked her out in eighth place on the 2nd or 3rd hand. I went all-in, knowing she would call me. This was post flop, and I was about 95% sure I had the best hand. Sure enough, she did, and what satisfaction that was. I tried not to let her distract me, but I really felt like she wanted me out, being the only other female. Things went much smoother for me after she was gone, lol. So, my point is, that I have some reservations about playing against all women. I think they can be every bit as ruthless as any man, and I think that I would have to have the patience of a Saint to compete.

I'm also worried about the fact that I haven't sat down and played face to face in over a year. That is a big deal. Nerves can do you in. I'm far from shy, and I don't embarrass easily, but I am human, and I do get nervous. I can also be cocky as hell at times, lol.

And last, but not least, if other people were staking me, I'm worried that I'd feel under pressure to do well. When you lose your own money, it's not so bad. When you lose someone else's, it's a sick feeling.

So, I'm definitely going to think on it. And over the next couple of weeks, I'm going to play some more of the large freerolls, and see how well I can do, and really try and show some patience. I'm also going to try a few more buy-in tournies, and see what happens. And let's not forget Saturday, if I can finish in the money again, I may convince myself. There are some decent players in that tourney every week. I do have another money finish in that one, a couple months back...I finished eighth.

All you guys have certainly made my day, and given me tons to think about!!

BTW...these events are held in Vegas and/or Reno aren't they? I'm gonna do some research.

Give me a P. Give me a I...... Well, you get it. I would love to chip in and help send you away, I mean to Vegas or Reno. :) Seriously! I am with Rusty and our gorgeous Swede on this one. It's not the dog in the fight but the fight in the dog and girl, you got plenty of fight. I hopes this works out. Good luck in the upcoming tourney.

I would love to chip in and help send you away,

I bet, lol. Honestly, thanks Thelma...you're a gem. WOOF, WOOF...GRRRRRR!!

Don't. There is no gender at the poker table. Just be as ruthless as you use to be. And if you need to work on your spanking routine - well - I am at your service.

Gee, thanks Chuck. I'm waiting for you to be chosen Playmate of The Month first. :D

I guess Pat read this thread, even though I hadn't written him yet. He said to count him in as well. No 32Red undies or thigh high boots though. Maybe a Casinomeister.com t-shirt? :p
