News released this morning.

32Red Plc, the award-winning online gaming operator, is pleased to announce today that it has acquired the remote online gaming business known as Roxy Palace (the "Business") for total consideration of £8.4 million comprising £2.0m in cash and the issuance of 10,000,000 new Ordinary Shares.

32Red has purchased the customer database, intellectual property rights and certain other assets used in connection with the Business via the acquisition of the entire issued share capital of Eucalyptus Investment Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hyperlink Media Limited and Applied Logics Limited (the "Sellers"). Other service companies associated with the Sellers will continue to provide services to the Buyer following Completion. The deal is expected to be immediately earnings accretive before synergies.

Interesting. Roxy must have a huge historical player database, but appeared to have fallen away in recent years.

Hopefully 32Red will remove all those predatory terms in the Roxy affiliate program.

You can say that again!
I promoted Roxy from way back in 2007 - but they were always one of the least popular MG casinos I listed.
They've been virtually dead for the last 18 months.

I'm sure 32Red will migrate any players correctly, as they did with Go Wild. Only problem is, I have no idea how many players I referred to Roxy as their affy back-end never gave any sort of historical player information at all.

It is my hope that 32Red will operate Roxy as a separate casino like what they did with Golden Lounge. I would think that would be less headaches in the long run. Whatever they do I am confident that they will bring Roxy's t&c's in line with 32Red. This is good news finally about Roxy Palace:thumbsup:

In light of this the issues surrounding Roxy Palace in recent months have become more clearer. They knew they were selling or in negotiations to sell so they wanted to keep as much profit as possible. This is just pure speculation on my part though.

Good to hear! RP has been troubled for some time, and the 32Red folks know to bring the ailing ones back from the edge.

Roxy Palaces players database won't just be huge, it will be massive!

They acquired all of Vegas Partner Lounges UK players following VPL's pullout after tax law changes etc so a great deal my 32 Red!

I too hope it is run as a separate outfit (diff promos etc) as otherwise existing players to 32 Red cannot benefit. Go Wild migration simply created the duplicate account issue (which with 32 Red would never be a problem) but IMO existing 32 Red customers who had Go Wild accounts migrated it would have been easier to simply close their GW accounts.

An idea may be to re-brand as '32 Red Gold' maybe allowing new and existing 32 Red players to play, along with those who have RP accounts who then become new to 32 Red.

Whatever happens all players are now in better and safer hands (though I've never had any issues with RP, I've read some scary stories!) and I wish 32 Red all the best with this 'move'

Well, this is definitely good news. Roxy Palace was booted from the Accredited section several weeks ago without a single comment or protest from the previous operator. Now I know why.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the comments, we're all very excited as you can imagine.

While it's early days and I can't answer every question, these ones are nice and simple:

Taken from the announcement this morning:

This acquisition fits well with our regulated markets growth strategy and will allow us to leverage the expertise that the Roxy Palace team has built up over many years in international markets to the combined benefit of the enlarged business. To that end we will continue to support the Roxy Palace brand along with maximizing synergies where appropriate.

Cheers!

So 1 brand for RP and Casino Splendido combined?

They didn't offer tournaments before. Does this change?

I'm sure they did do tourney's before hedgehok :)

I recall playing on a Thursday evening. 8pm they used to run a Roxy/Splendido Members only Thunderstruck II Tourney with 3 rounds (Top 'x' players progressing etc) and the rounds followed within 10 minutes of each other with no re-buys but a decent prize pot IIRC.

I'm pretty sure they also did the standard 'MG linked' stuff too.

If you're referring to the likes of 32 Red's fortnightly 'freeroll's' then I am not sure.

Also if I've misunderstood your post then I apologise, ignore my post :p

all the best!

I uninstalled a bunch of casinos awhile back to sort of 'start fresh' and didn't reinstall Roxy Palace because my antivirus kept freaking out and even blocked me from the website for awhile. I didn't worry too much about it because I was busy with other stuff and never really played there much anyhow. Now I'll have to try again! Congrats 32Red!

I just checked it. Roxy Palace has tournaments. Casino Splendido does not - not a single one. Weird. Thanks for the heads up Jon.

Does not bother me but are they aloud to sell our details,

I mean say I owned a decent loan company and decided to sell it to some sharks, With every persons details? I no 32red is far from dodgy & they done the best switch over when they took over the other casino, Hassle free and just about instant by the CS, Even with a fresh bonus :)

Perfectly legal I'm afraid, of course the "shark" would need a consumer credit licence else it wouldn't be able to enforce those loans. Banks and other lenders do this already, and on a regular basis. I had credit cards that got sold on, and bad loans are often sold on to "recovery agents" at so many pence in the pound, and the "recovery agents" can behave like sharks because to make a profit they have to collect more than they paid for the debt portfolio, but from debt that the original lender has more or less given up on getting paid back.

32Red will gain the most from UK players that had Roxy accounts, but not 32Red ones. However, this seems a little unlikely given how highly rated 32Red is as surely EVERY serious player has a 32Red account, don't they:what:

If Roxy Palace continues as a separate brand, I have a dozen accounts there due to all the transfers from Vegas Partner lounge, as well as original Roxy and Splendido accounts. Forget 4 entries in the fortnightly £20K - I could have a dozen:D It might be best therefore for 32Red to sort out the mess and condense UK players' various migrated and native accounts into one at an early stage. Maybe "buy" the surplus accounts by offering a modest free bonus in a single account that the player can choose to keep. This would encourage players to do the legwork in collating their various accounts into one, rather than 32Red having to trawl through the database and try matching up duplicates that could well have slightly different details (different email addresses, middle names, old addresses, etc).

Thats another thing, They do sell the the debt on normally at minimul rates some as low as 2 -5p in the £1, I was testing some sites out a few years back and one of the was quick quid, It came out that alot of the recovery companys was actually owned by the same people & sending out bad letters, Quick quid and wonga promised they will clean there act up .

Beggers believe I had a letter the other day of quick quid, Proof here if you wish me to up load stating that any out stating balance / debt is now clear, Couple days later I received another letter stating I owe the money? But as well (same day) I received another letter from same company stating I owe ebay? I owe ebay nothing as the buyer made fraud claims and ebay would not listen,

After all the migration after alot of casino pulled out, I did nether touch any of them that was transfers exept 32, As there was alot of stories about people having double accounts ect, and trouble sorting out,

I wonder how long this deal has been in the pipe line? As it was kept on the quit one, Shame really as they still could of been in the accredited section but wonder if they just wanted to mess that up? No dout it will be fast tracked and back to standing orders in no time, & As you mentioned & I thought earlier, Wouldn't 32 have 90% plus of the players anyway?

Roxy Palace recently performed a player base audit which I think was pretty successful. They have closed all but one of players migrated accounts (I had 4 maybe 5) and now only have the one (my old Cinema Casino account which ironically saw the most deposits back when they were still VPL) They have even closed my original Roxy Palace account so I defo only have the one, same with the wife and a couple of other gambling buddies I've spoken to.

I asked this question over and over, especially when I started to read the pretty recent 'none payment' type posts/threads so am pretty confident one account per player will be migrated when 32 Red 'push the button'

The best news I have heard on here . I asked in chat is it true that you will be keeping all Roxy support staff and the name still . Wish you all the best with the site . It will improve greatly with 32 red

I did not bother with none of them after the switch, After reading story's about multi accounts ect I gave them the finger, 32 on the other had was a different story and sorted in seconds, Its what happens when employ people that are in the no how, Than rather just get idiots that no naff all, I have caught many of times the same person out claiming to be somebody else across sites,

Many of storys but talking to one CS and was telling me this and that, long story short I was back on chat to another person, they said sorry but we do not do that, after stating that I spoke to one of there friends not long ago and they told me different, Only to be told by the CS that I did not say that (hang on, this was meant to be another CS person, But seems that I was lied to and same person alow diffrent names

Very interesting business move. Roxy Palace was one of the first online casinos I played slots at so it's a bit weird to see 32Red take them over. Huge amount of money too but I guess that was to be expected in a takeover between two such large brands. Let's see what 32Red do with this then.

I take it all this is going to take sometime to do on 32 red part .

I wish them all the best with Roxy .I know they are keeping the same name of the casino and support team . I'm looking forward to seeing this casino have better reviews with 32 red be hide them the best of the best casino out there and the best support team .:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: good luck guys at red

Apologies for being late into this thread. I've been playing at Casino Splendido for some time and never had any problems to be honest.

I had a nice win there over the weekend and knowing that it's now part of 32 Red certainly gives you the confidence that there will be no problems going forward.

Great news!

Chris

Maybe that is why 32Red seem very tight at the moment:mad: Not had lot of luck there last months I do know that is how luck and casinos work. But Since I not had lot of playtime on many deposits and over £1000. Also rubies close to 900 points I though would pop on livechat and ask kindly for a freebie since I also have not seen any red letter day for over 1 year now. I used to get one at least every couple months of maybe £10 or £20  I got a clear no nothing can add. So i kindly asked maybe then my comp points.rubies could be topped up so at least could use 1000 points for £10 bonus. But again clear no even after asking if could ask a supervisor  But okay I better start playing more again at betat and guts as that is where they really reward players more often yeah and videoslots  sorry for my moan just needed it and just wanted to hear if others see the same :p

Although I adore and trust 32 Red above most others, I'll join in on your 'moan' but in a 'not too bothered really' sort of way

I deposit 2-3 times per week, EVERY week, luck until last fortnight or so been crapper than crap all year!!!

Not one comp at all to the point I started to wonder whether there was a note on my account 'This is the jammy git who got that 5 reel shit storm!'

Points have been topped up once or twice but only when in touching distance of the magical 1,000

Red Letter day used to land 2-3 times per month but I've not seen that for a couple of months now, it was always £10 too, never anymore.

I've also deposited and wagered enough to have got various Slotsmeister prizes ranging from £20 to £50 and yet not once have I cleared the WR or W/D from it.

Got to end this on a positive so here goes, IR had been DESTROYING me all year until this week I finally hit a £203.85 Wild Desire (3 reels with matching Michael n J's) preceeded by all 5 Scatters on Thunderstruck.

But I also have to say these are the only memorable hits I've had all year!
