Has anybody else noticed in the past month or so that tournaments are taking excruciatingly long to load up? I double clicked the avalon tournament about half an hour ago and it's still not ready to play.

Granted my computer is pretty awful and I have had umpteen opportunities to upgrade/modernize it.
This is only a recent thing though does anyone know what could be affecting it? I have nothing else running when I open the download casino(with the exception of this window enquiring about my issues today) Anybody else experiencing long loading times??

Its probably 90% down to your PC matey

Remember my old PC and the associated laggy videos lol??

The download client took an absolute age just to 'Fire Up' and I was looking about 60 seconds per game to load up.

Since I upgraded it 'boots' up in about 10 seconds and games load in 2-3 seconds, been playing over the weekend and no problems to report.

I have some old towers and parts lying around if you get to the stage where your ready to smash it lol, maybe we could sort something out if you know how to make use of them :D

That sounds heavenly! 10 secs loading and 2-3 secs a game ahhhh....Can lose my money even quicker then hahaha! Only kidding! I really need to update this thing badly!

Try the "Instant casino" from the 32Red website. This is a new Viper client like Flash interface, and tournaments have been included. It may not be ALL the tournaments, but it's worth a look. It shouldn't suffer from any of the problems specific to the download client.

I'll definitely check that out next time I fancy doing a tournament. Cheers!

A good thing to check is how much space you have left on your hard drive if its nearly full your computer goes very slow.

Try running ccleaner through to free up some space and uninstall any unwanted programs, music, films etc.

Been using C-cleaner for years but thanks. I just checked and it says 10.9GB of space on hard drive which should be plenty? I normally get a message up on computer if my hard drive is too full. I'm gonna blame processor and graphics card or lack of one!

I too cannot get any download tourneys to load.....at all. Been using the flash version of the site where everything runs fine, barring the odd tournament that isn't available using this method.

I guess it's to do with the 'white screen of death' issues players were having a few months ago, I assume it's to do with needing to upgrade to Windows 10 or whatever and has probably been covered already in detail on these boards.

Bit of a shame really as I preferred the download client and never felt that Win7 was that antiquated. It's not like I'm using Windows 95 is it! Added to the fact that I'm not going to upgrade my rig so as to play Megadrive slots. The bastards.

Flash it is :(

I don't think it's your computer as I still have crashes and turnies not opening. I've well more than half a terrabyte of space free and a gaming computer. Add to that, other download casinos are opening fine; it's def a 32Red thing and I'd think the prompt to get the new site up

I can still get the tournaments to load on Win 7, so something else must have happened that has corrupted your local installation. Unfortunately, simply uninstalling and reinstalling the casino is only a partial solution. If the problem is in the vast 11Gb cache this will not work.

What is sometimes needed is a thorough and total uninstall of everything Microgaming, including the cache, any remnants, and the registry keys. You then reinstall right from scratch, forcing a new cache to be downloaded and built. This should address any corruption, but it can take quite a while because it means downloading well over 10Gb of data. Ideally you want to wait for the full update to complete on one casino, then relaunch this casino a few times until it stops taking further updates. At this point you have a clean and up to date cache as well as a fully up to date casino (barring legacy code that has not been removed by Microgaming, which STILL includes obsolete code for LOTR and the fruit machines). This may well restore download tournaments, but given time constraints, use the Flash interface in order to keep competing in the mean time.

I am waiting for Neteller to get their shit together, I can load the 20K fine, but I can't deposit at the moment:mad:
