32 red £20k 'freeroll'

This is a complete joke:mad:

What actually needs to be done to make Microgaming get a grip:mad:

Two continues in this morning, and the connection drops again, the reels just spinning and spinning. An hour later, log back in and get the popup to take me to the tournament, click on "continue" and my £2.50 is taken but everything freezes, the "continue" purchase button greys out, but then nothing happens, the game does not launch.

This could cost 32Red thousands in revenue as the scores are pretty weak (apart from sscrabble up top) compared to other runs, and there is plenty to play for in the final 2 days. If the problems persist, players will accept that there isn't sufficient time to compete any longer, so will concede positions that they could probably improve upon over the final 2 days.

MG is one of my favorite software companies, But I have been having major issues the last few months also. Games timing out and random error codes popping up during a wide range of their games, Casino support never seems to be able to solve it without blaming my computer or connection.

Don't know if it is the same for everyone - but now I cannot open any of the 32red casinos - all of them say failure to establish connection when I try and login - everything else fine on my computer.

About 10 am they obviously did some kind of fix - --- the reels started spinning non-stop ---- now I cannot get into the game ! - it just does nothing when I click on the game .

I had been playing a bit this morning between working, and up until about 10 minutes ago I was fine....

But I was booted mid free spins round from the tournament and the viper client. Now I can't log back in to either the viper client or the online browser, I'm hoping the logging in problem is a glitch and will correct itself in a while!

As for the tournament lets hope it's an update of some sort, even though the Loaded tournaments have always been pretty faultless for me.

Hi Guys,

Sorry for the issues, we are continuing to investigate with Microgaming. We did just have 10-15 minutes unplanned downtime in general though so I think the disconnection would have been related to that rather than the ongoing tournament issues.

@sscrabble - are you able to try joining again?

Thanks
Mark

Just tried - still no joy - --- the tournament went down for me a couple of hours before the downtime - at 10am - whatever they did then knocked me out but not Brockie - Vinyl has not said if he has been able to get in - not had any problems before today

Ok, sorry for the trouble. Let me raise with MG and see what they say.

Just Checked.

I can get into both Viper clients (32Red and Dash), but neither Loaded 20K tournament. Both show the same 144 players. What is even more puzzling is that now sscrabble can't get back in, he too is seeing the exact same 144 registered players and no scores. This is some random information that clearly has to be getting sent to both of us from the tournament server, as I doubt obsolete local cache data can be giving us both the same experience.

I am also registered for the following Gold Factory 20K, and I can load this as far as the main page, which is as it should be given that it doesn't start for another 8 days. It is this specific tournament (Loaded 20K) that I can't get into, not tournaments in general.

2 months ago, I had a very similar experience with the Monthly Monster at both 32Red and Dash. I could not register, and I was being shown a screen that claimed a mere 34 players had been able to register. However, I got in fine later on at a Casino Rewards casino, where the truth was that it was pretty much business as usual with over 600 players registered and a healthy scoreboard.

I was also booted mid round at 32Red from a midweek moolah, also run on Loaded, and was never able to get back in for the remaining couple of days.

Maybe this is a problem specific to the tournament game Loaded in the same way that many months ago there were specific problems with the Hitman game, which seems fine now, and much longer ago such severe problems with Thunderstruck II that it was pulled from the rota for the 20K and replaced with Immortal Romance.

From what I can see, these problems are occurring at the player account level at the casinos, rather than due to local problems with players PCs. sscrabble has been getting in fine up until now, whereas I have failed to get in at all despite trying on 4 different PCs, and both web versions of 32Red (new site and legacy flash casino), and with 2 different browsers (IE and Chrome). The ONLY two common factors are my home internet connection and my specific 32Red account, and Dash (although here I was only able to try the Viper clients on 3 different PCs).

sscrabble is now having the same problem, he can't get back in, yet others are able to get back in after the brief period of downtime.

Maybe something is corrupt on the 32Red servers, and this corruption is occurring on specific user accounts, rather than the casino as a whole. Once the problem occurs, these affected users then face constant problems with the tournaments.

Lobby games are pretty much OK during all of this, apart from the memory leak in Lost Vegas that causes it to freeze and shut down once it has gobbled up about 1.4Gig of local RAM, and a similar "handle leak" issue with the lobby that also seems to shut it down when the "working set" reaches similar levels (it's cause is the corrupt cabinet file for Scary Friends that locks the lobby into a continuous update loop). This is detailed in my other thread:-

https://www.casinomeister.com/forum...32red-tournament-problems-among-others.75588/

I am not sure it did not say 144 players when I COULD play - it definitely was not showing any players scores.

Whenever it does go wrong like this - the tab to enter the game always reverts to 'join' - as if I had not ever entered the game - but when you click on 'join' - it is just dead.

It's dead for me at Dash, both clicking on the tournament in the table and clicking on "join". What makes it different at 32Red is that after the previous problems, I preregistered for the following 2 tournaments because I remembered that in a previous incident I could get in via the pop up reminder that appears in the lobby when registered, even when the links are not responding. However, although I am registered for this at 32Red, I am not getting the "is now playing" popup when I log on, so I cannot test whether or not this would be a way in. At 32Red, the link isn't dead, but all it does is load the window and the introductory splash screen with the "loading" symbol, but there it stalls, in a permanent state of "loading".

Within the last hour - I am suddenly able to access the current 20K:eek:

I wasn't an hour ago when I decided to forge on with the Lost Vegas race, but just now I logged on again after the casino suddenly decided to exit itself, and saw the tournament popup for the first time in nearly 10 days. I clicked to enter, and it loaded without problems. I can also now see the real scores, not the fake 144 players registered and all on zero.

HOWEVER, there is significant server lag, making the whole thing painfully slow due to having to wait several seconds each spin for the server to respond with the result.

No mention of what has been done by MGS, nor what the problem may have been. I therefore have no idea how long it will work for before I end up being booted; after all sscrabble had no problems until he had invested quite heavily, and then found he couldn't get back in to finish whilst I was having few problems catching and eventually overtaking him:D

It's a long haul this time, as I am starting from scratch towards the end of Tuesday afternoon, with only 3 full days of play left after what I can manage through the rest of today.

Well, what an unexpected surprise:rolleyes:

I see the Immortal Romance fortnightly has disappeared from the schedule - I for one will be very sad if Mark has decided to stop doing them - hope we can have a regular series of 'one-off' long play tournaments to replace them if that is the case - mabe a mix of one week, fortnightly and even month long games ? - anything ! Just keep them going for junkies like me !

Yes I have noticed that the Immortal Romance fortnightly has been removed also.

I will echo Scrabbles thoughts on this, that I would be a great shame to see these style tournaments removed,as they are by far the most played tournament and for me the only style tournament that I play.

The tournaments as a whole need to be looked at and fixed as Vinyl has pointed out the faults appear on the Midweek moolah also but as this tournament is not played as much and does not see the level of complaints that the 20k has.

Here's hoping they are coming up with a similar style tournament as we speak and will release it as the last Fortnightly ends! :D

I have noticed also, but also noticed that MGS have STILL not fixed things. Their attempt last week to mend the tournaments has introduced new issues. I am finding that the current tournament randomly freezes and the casino has to be rebooted. The issue with the lobby spontaneously exiting after around 30 minutes due to the corrupt Scary Friends file that throws it into an infinite update loop with handle leak doesn't help because unlike before, the lobby exiting is now taking down the tournament window as well, whereas before the latest fix there was a good chance of the tournament window managing to operate on it's own once the lobby had exited.

I also had another of those "code 15" errors when buying another continue yesterday.

On the plus side, I can get in, and I can get back in, even if I have to reboot every 5-10 continues because the lobby exit brings everything else down with it. I am seeing this lobby issue on all PCs, Windows 10, Windows 7, and Windows XP - and both with and without antivirus protection running.

Oh for fuck's sake - get a grip, this is beyond a joke!

Yet more farce from Microgaming.

After two lobby updates, one pretty major, the 20K on Immortal Romance suddenly reappeared from nowhere despite seeming to have been cancelled.

I have so far managed to play 70 continues, and noted that others have been playing.

Then---- same old shit again, suddenly stopped responding, and now it is inviting me to "join" all over again, and not showing any player scores as would be the case were I not to have joined. The tournament is certainly visible, and showing as "in play", but it's a duplicate of the old errors. Tried the Flash lobby, and again it's a duplicate, it opens, but won't load - the load bar sits at zero progress.

With anger rising to boiling point it seems no one really gives a toss about this at Microgaming. I had assumed (wrongly it now seems) that the major updates (which even fixed the Scary Friends issue) was Microgaming FINALLY getting their arse in gear and sorting out the issues once and for all.

The fact that this latest fix couldn't even last ONE DAY is a joke, the level of competence one might expect from some "mom & pop" casino software company run from someone's garage, not a well established developer that has been around for well over a decade, if not two:mad:

What, exactly, WILL make them actually take notice and start to give a toss about this?

If you log back in now it is working again, it is for me anyway, I would assume that it was only out for half hour odd. So no great problem.

Since starting playing this yesterday I have had no other faults.

Maybe the tournament just didn't want you playing and you should just leave this one to me and sscrabble!! ;)

To be honest, I did think about saying "sod this" and taking a fortnight off, but then you just had to go and poke the bear didn't you:p

What got me though is that this didn't look like the usual temporary outage (error 15 buying a continue, then back to normal in a couple of hours). I got the old symptoms of when I was unable to get in for TEN DAYS!!!, the dead link and fake scores.

What is just as bad is the TOTAL LACK OF FEEDBACK from the casino and Microgaming as to "what the hell is going on" (Trump 2016):D

Us unimportant players are left to guess the state of play by logging on and seeing behaviours like the double launch (They fixed something), and the pop up "20K is now playing" (Tournament is connecting and presumably working now). What we can't know is whether this is because MGS have actually found the problem and fixed it, or whether it's a brief and random restoration of service that has nothing to do with anything MGS have "fixed".

On the wrong thread , but cannot get to any other page -- Is it just me getting this ? - I just get this error message since yesterday whenever I try to open the forum , but managed to get to this page via roundabout means !!

It will end next Tuesday, always trust the tournament page about that.
But after Friday certain problems may appear, like inability to register or play continues, temporary cancellation, late payment, or other things like that.

I'd go with next Tuesday, purely based on my experience of how October's Sure Win Cup panned out.

Round 4 should have started at 1pm on Monday afternoon and finished at 12am Monday morning (which is what the lobby said).
But it didn't start until 12am Wednesday morning and therefore should have finished at 12pm Tuesday afternoon. And that is when it did finish.

So I'd trust the page more than the lobby.

End of an Era

Hi All,

They say all good things come to an end, and this post is to give you all the heads-up that the £20k Fortnightly Freeroll at 32Red will cease after the current tournament. There's been a declining interest in these tournaments for a while now so the tough decision was made to call it a day.

There's obviously a few regulars in this thread who have invested a lot of time into these tournaments, thanks to all of you who did. You helped keep them going for so long.

Let's hope the guys can think of some exciting promotions to replace them. :)

Cheers
Mark
