Earlier today, 32Red did the "double launch" and would not let me into the 20K because "the game was not downloaded".
It is now broken. Autoplay will stop EVERY time after only 5 spins. It claims "due to autoplay settings", but there ARE no "settings" for tournaments. This is WORSE than even the old 25 spin limit, which is now 100, and would be perfectly OK for these tournaments as each continue contains 40 spins, well below the new 100 spin limit.
It's now back to the bad old days of having to sit there manually clicking for every spin, something not seen since these tournaments came out.
There are, of course, a number of possible workarounds, but on the whole this freezes out those players who don't know about such things, yet still play these tournaments and expect a fair crack at the prize for their money.
This could cut revenue for 32Red from these just as much as when Hitman had that spell where it just wouldn't load at all, and the scores were unusually low as a result.
I don't know yet whether this has only afflicted Hitman, or whether this has become a general issue for the Microgaming tournaments.
That is not entirely correct. What I found (when I was playing the Daily Avalon Freeroll today) is that it will stop after 5 spins IF you get 5 dead spins. At various stages (I played the DAF 4 times today because I have accounts at Dash, Golden Lounge and Nedplay too), the autoplay stopped after 5, 6, 7 or 9 spins. The amount "lost" seems to be the trigger for the stoppage of autoplay. For example, 5 dead spins on max bet (200 when playing in the DAF) would mean a "net loss" of 1,000. And when that happened, autoplay did stop every time.
I found it difficult to pinpoint a precise "net loss limit" to trigger the stoppage in autoplay, but to give an example, in one of my 4 tries in the DAF, I got a 5OAK of the crowns on one spin, which gave a payout of 8000 "points" on a bet of 200. This happened very early on in the game. Given that you get 10,000 starting coins in the DAF, and that I went on to score over 10,000 points on that particular try, the autoplay was NEVER stopped during that game. Because I was never in a position where my overall "net loss" reached 1,000. Does that mean anything? I have no idea tbh.
I then tried the evening "3 hour freeroll", which features the game Gold Factory. Autoplay NEVER stopped at any stage during any of my multiple tries, even though I had games where my "net loss" was anything between 0 and 21,000 on bets of 1,000.
So having had a rough idea of what size of "net loss" would trigger autoplay stoppage in an Avalon tournament (somewhere between 800 and 1,000), I had no clue at all what the trigger would be for in a Gold Factory tournament. The autoplay settings are quite inconsistent I must say.
I might try the other freerolls like the 1k, 2k, 3k Survivor Qualifiers a handful of times just to see if I can spot any kind of patterns.
