Second paragraph. THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NO RISK TO YOUR OWN FUNDS - JUST FREE MONEY TO SPEND IN THE CASINO AS YOU WISH!"

Sounded a little too good to be true, so I went on their live chat to delve further into this great promotion

Tom: Welcome to the Casino Rewards support chat. How are you doing today?
Tom: Congratulations, your offer of $1000 free has been activated! On your first 5 deposits you will receive a match bonus of up to $1000!! It works like this:
Tom: • 1st deposit – 100% Match bonus – Up to $150
Tom: • 2nd deposit – 50% Match bonus – Up to $200
Tom: • 3rd deposit – 25% match bonus – Up to $300
Tom: • 4th deposit – 50% match bonus – Up to $200
Tom: • 5th deposit – 100% match bonus – Up to $150
nicola: ok so its not free?
Tom: Well, its a bonus you get for free on top of your first five deposits.
nicola: lol but it still costs money so its not free as your letter says
Tom: Yes, but as you will have you money plus the bonus in your Casino account to play with, it was for free.
nicola: it says on the letter "THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NO RISK TO YOUR OWN FUNDS - JUST FREE MONEY
nicola: how so?
Tom: Yes, you dont lose your money. You get the bonus on top of your money.
Tom: But, they are deposit bonuses. That is correct.
nicola: so if I lose my money you give it back?
Tom: Not if you play with it. But when you buy something in a shop, you change your money with the good.
Tom: Here you dont change your money, with a good (bonus)
Tom: You get it on top of your money.
Tom: If you claim/redeem bonus money you first have to meet the wagering requirements before making a withdrawal.
Tom: Simply put you will need to convert all of your bonus into cash, after you have done so, you will be able to withdraw whatever you have left in your casino (cash) account.
Tom: To convert your bonus into cash, you need to wager/make bets for a total of 30 times the amount of your bonus.
Tom: (Please note that depending on which games you play this amount will change and is determined based on each game. Also note that there are conditions regarding the maximum amount of each bet. For further information please refer to the Terms and Conditions, or simply ask me.)
Tom: This means, that if you, for example, have received a 10 credit bonus, you have to play until you have made bets for 300 credits in total.
nicola: so it is NOT risk free as your letter says? I could lose it
Tom: Risk Free as in, if you deposit your money, you will get the bonus.
Tom: Is there anything else I might be able to help you with?
nicola: but you need to confirm that I can withdraw £1000 back to my card
Tom: As I said, if you claim a bonus, before you can make a withdrawal, you will have to meet the wagering requirements.
nicola: so there is a risk involved?
Tom: Of course there is a change you might win money or loose money. Its a Casino.

Nomination for the 'Evil Marketing Award of 2014'?

They are just crooks who deserve to rotten up in.......... Got same letter by the way and also still owe me a £50 bonus from years ago when I Was VIP with several Casinos in their group before they took over one of them Grand Mondial and Blackjack Ballroom I think it was but not bothered anymore.

Oh, forgot this part...

Can you really win £1,009,402 on Immortal Romance?
Does it say he won it ALL from 1 spin on the slot?

Although I don't think the CR group are as bad as some people make out, the wording on this particular flier is a blatant LIE and I shall be expressing my deep concerns about it to the rep the moment I finish typing this post. :(

KK

If they had sent the flier stating that you get the free money with a breakdown of how much you get on each deposit it would save a whole lot of confusion. I gotta say CR use very creative marketing.:D

Although in their defense if you win they do pay. In fact a couple of months ago I signed up at one CR casino and deposited 1 to get 20 and ended up cashing out 500 and got paid it in two days. I was very surprised. Still I am not a fan because I don't really like the whole rewards/comp set up.

Edit: I think they are also trying to do something about spam but as I said in a previous post time will tell whether it works or not (for me at least). They also need to stop sending out these very misleading mailers

Same letter only in finnish for me. The funny thing is on the check there is the exact same numbers as yours but the text thing on the check says 1 million 'nine hundred thousand' and four hundred and 2 dollars

Oh well Casino rewards sends junk mail daily and the unsubscribe works for a day and the mail keeps coming again.

Everyone knows that one should never trust advertisements fully, but seing how the CS-rep tries to justify it is just disgusting. I guess they must be really desperate to sell their souls in that kind of way.

Maybe it was changed due to the currency conversion or something.

Is the unique bonus code different?

I stopped promoting this group due to constant spam complaints on forums etc, this just confirms I made the right decision.
very shoddy on there part and completely clueless live chat.

Not on one spin but it's not uncommon for casinos to market wins that are cumulative. I think it was highlighted in a thread here recently in fact.

And even if he did, with Luxury Casino's $4k max cashout per week, he won't receive the full amount for 5 years anyway.

Personally I think Microgaming should put a maximum bet cap on games at casinos where a win can exceed the maximum cashout amount.

Never even considered promoting them since they have always been sending shitty promos like this, and are really high up on the spam ladder, and have been for years: I really dislike big companies that apparently are just a bunch of unprofessional money grabbers, without interest or appreciation for their players, or in their case victims is a better word ^^,

This is of course my opinion, but i could add that the proof for me, is that they keep on sending those emails to players not eligible
(like SUB's to existing players) or offers that have the wrong names, and flat out misleading wording or in this case even lies.

Ridiculous, stay clear and you'll be better off, since nowadays there are tons of good MG Casinos (32Red being nr. 1 ofc.) out there with real loyalty programs, quality service and player care!

Before I used to be a member here I deposited the grand sum of 2 quid (think it was Nostalgia Casino) and another I can't remember. If I recall, it was deposit 1 quid for fifty.
I never did get the wr cleared but ever since I think they opened about 8 or so casinos on my behalf. Uhh thanks?

Spam is atrocious from affiliates and thank god they all have my Hotmail addy or I'd be going mental.

Got this promo too and like the others it saw my bin.

I get tons of spam from this group, mostly with offers that I'm not eligible for. Back in the old days I was getting 4 or 5 CDs a week from their casinos with free money offers - but at least you could use them to scare birds away from your garden, so it's not all bad. ;)

Pretty sure that's my uncle Peter in the picture!

Cheeky scoundrel never told the family about this, and he still asks me to lend him a $50 every time I see him! At least now I know where all those $50's have been going.

Wonder if this casino also sells a certain reptile oil that's suppose to have super healing, and age defying properties?

Any site that send's me a physical letter automatically gets thrown into the doomed propaganda gypsies basket, never to return.

Oh, forgot this part...

Can you really win £1,009,402 on Immortal Romance?

If a mailer that I got from AllSlots is to be believed, the absolute max that can be won on IR is $364,500, which would mean having to bet $30 per spin.

They also mentioned the max payouts for 3 other games

Avalon 2 $1.2 million
Tiger's Eye $400k
TS2 $607,500 (which would mean having to bet $75 per spin?!?)

I had one of these too.

From the wording I thought it was just a crappy £1000 played in a flash insert in order to win £100 bonus if you deposit £25. This is "risk free" as you can play the £1000 and lose, and risk none of your own money, but it's also completely free of the risk of you WINNING, as to do so, you have to stump up £25.

However, given the structure of the offer, it is not "risk free" as they are traditional deposit bonuses, so there is a risk of losing your deposits when you claim the bonus, but also the risk of you winning.

It's an epic fail on their part, because in wording it how they did, it was considerably LESS attractive for me, I would much prefer the deposit bonuses, and I didn't think it was deposit offers because it said "no risk to your own funds".

I am now going to have to dig through my bin, retrieve my code, and empty their fruities:p

Im see casino rewards continue agresive promoting their brands - They have over 30 brands / casinos so if player registered in one on them then Immidiatly they send Very Often Massive spam from all their 30 casinos with close looking promotions - " You Win 1000$ - you have 2000$ Free " and other Massive Spamm day after day.

So now they start send it in other way - Try check mayby got better depositors % conversions from this way promoting in traditional post office .

You'll never guess what I just received in the post 2 minutes ago....No word of a lie! Jokers!

Got one in the mail today too....exactly the same as the one Nicola described in her OP.

To be honest, I don't find CR group to be all that bad. I would agree that the spamming is a bit much (I am still getting those "new player offer" e-mails from them despite already having accounts at the majority of their casinos). And the last offer I got from them in the post WAS 100% kosher and above board. A 150% deposit match bonus (up to £200) at Virtual City.

But the one thing where I cannot criticise them is when it comes to payouts....I have not ever had problems with withdrawals. In that regard, they are no worse than 32Red.

And they are at least not guilty of the hypocrisy of Fortune Lounge, who are quite happy to accept your money WITHOUT ID verification, but then make said ID verification a top priority should you have the audacity to request a cashout. For that reason alone, 32Red Group and CR Group will always get the majority of my gambling budget pumped into their casinos.

I have to admit though, this latest snail mail promotion is a cause for concern. Because the wording of it is not ambiguous, it is an outright lie. And worse still, a completely needless one at that. Why they couldn't just tell the customer that the £1000 free is deposit match-related is beyond me.

This is probably just a coincidence (or maybe it's not) but.....

Did anyone notice that there were a hell of a lot of six figure wins yesterday at CR? And not just any 6 figure wins I may add. Absolutely none of them began with a 1. There were even some 7 figure wins, including a win on Gold Factory of over 2.8 million?!?! Surely that is absolutely impossible?

It's like they took the genuine amounts that were won and decided to stick 4 zeros on the end of each one to make it look like CR players are winning life-changing amounts at their casinos every 5 minutes. All a bit suss IMO.

I think it is, Gold Factory is not a progressive. The max bet allowed does not permit one to bet enough to achieve this hit. It is also higher than the risk many smaller MGS casinos are able to deal with, so the games will have been designed with this in mind.

One possibility is that they have a handful of very high rolling VIPs who have been given vastly higher bet limits on the games, and so could bet enough to achieve such a win, and who play through enough to hit such payouts on a regular basis, heavily distorting the data as it is presented.

The biggest payout would be getting the jackpot with the highest multiplier possible, which is usually within the free spins. On later slots with stacked wilds, it would be getting 5 reels all wild during free spins (where this is possible).

I have seen my bet limits raised at a few casinos due to my VIP status, but it has been around double the default. For example, I can spin Munchkins at £150 (the norm is a max of £75), Thunderstruck at £90 (£45 norm). The highest uplift is x2.5, this is on Wealth Spa where I have an extra coin denomination available and can bet £50 (norm is £20). Even these VIP limits don't seem enough to hit £2.8 on a non progressive slot.

Hi Simmo,

Thats a good example because, in fact here in Australia most pub only payout max is $10,000 in one day per person from any slots (Pokies) machine here. Any over $10,000 will have to pay the rest in next payment. Most machine are set at max bet of $5 or $10 depends on the paytable layout. Except in Adelaide city casino can payout over $10,000 no problem but in pub is not able to, they have limit fund available with limit numbers of machine available. So thats the rules.

Not on one spin but it's not uncommon for casinos to market wins that are cumulative. I think it was highlighted in a thread here recently in fact.
