RealTime Gaming (RTG)...

First Impression

Upon entering Palace of Chance Casino, you’re met with a pretty old-school site – nothing unusual for a casino running on Real Time Gaming (RTG) software. The site is part of the Virtual Casino Group of brands – a brand that developed a notorious name for itself – more on that later – but, for now, we’ll be covering what you can expect from the casino.

You’ll find them offering a diverse range of gaming options. You’ll find an extensive selection of slots, from classic three-reel variations to modern video slots. Unfortunately, if you’re looking for casino games, your options are much more limited, as they offer just a few table games. Their video poker offering, however, is pretty good.

One of the key attractions at Palace of Chance Casino is the 200% matched deposit welcome bonus. What makes this offer so unique is that it doesn’t have a maximum cashout limit – although, when playing at any casinos operated by this brand, you must read the terms and conditions in full to fully understand the bonus structure.

In terms of payment options, the casino offers a variety of methods, including credit cards and EWallets. They have also recently added crypto integration, which is always good to see. Payout speeds, historically, have been atrocious – but this now looks like it’s finally changing.

For those interested in mobile gaming, the site is fully optimized for mobile devices. There’s no need to download additional apps; the casino’s website functions smoothly on most smartphones and tablets. Oververall, while Palace of Chance Casino comes from a pretty questionable background, it’s site today – while dated – offers a comprehensive RTG gaming experience. This review will give you all of the information you need to make an informed decision on whether joining the casino is the correct decision for you, or not.

Pros

  • Many Realtime Gaming (RTG) slots

  • A great selection of video poker machines

  • Many no-wager bonuses

Cons

  • Withdrawing your winnings can take a while

  • Low maximum weekly withdrawal limit of $2,000

  • Not licensed in any major online gambling jurisdiction

  • Checkered past

Deposit Bonuses and Promotions

Palace of Chance Casino offers various bonuses and promotions, with the most prominent being a 200% matched deposit welcome bonus. Unlike some other bonuses, this one comes without a maximum cashout limit – somewhat rare to see at a Virtual Casino Group site! However, as always, it’s crucial to understand the terms and conditions accompanying this and other promotional offers before you proceed.

Below, we will take a look at the main deposit bonus, the wagering requirements attached, and information on the bonus codes you must use. We will also look at other free chip and bonus code promotions available at Palace of Chance Casino.

Welcome Offer / Deposit Bonus

When you make your first deposit at Palace of Chance Casino, the platform offers to match it by 200%. This means if you deposit $100, you’ll receive an additional $200, bringing your total balance to $300. Notably, this deposit bonus has no maximum cashout limit, which differs from the deposit bonus offers we generally see at Virtual Casino Group sites. However, there are specific terms that you should be aware of.

First, you must redeem the bonus before placing any bets with your deposited money. If the bonus fails to activate, it’s on you to contact customer support before you begin playing any online casino games at the RTG platform. Use the online chat function to reach out to customer support if this happens to you, as the moment you start wagering your deposit without having activated the deposit bonus, you lose the right to claim any promotional offer on that deposit.

The deposit bonus has standard wagering requirements of 30X or 60X depending on the games you play, and you must meet them before attempting a withdrawal. If you fail to meet these requirements, expect your withdrawal request to be denied. Also, you can’t take advantage of additional promotions or coupons if you have an existing balance or pending cash-out.

One important term to note is that the 200% matched deposit bonus is classified as a No Play/No Max bonus. This means you can use it to play Slots, Keno, Bingo, and Scratch Cards only. Casino table games like blackjack and Roulette are excluded from this deposit bonus.

No-Deposit & Free Spins Casino Bonuses

While Palace of Chance’s website does mention no deposit bonuses, we were unable to find any at the time of writing this review. This could be due to the country we were accessing the casino from, or simply because they are not running any at the time of writing.

VIP and Comp Points Scheme

While the casino does claim to have a vip program, at the time of writing this casino review, the vip program button took us to a dead page. It remains unclear whether a vip program is in place or not. However, you will accumulate comp points as you play. For every $10 wagered, you will earn one point. Once you reach 100 points, you can exchange them at a rate of $1 per 100 points. While this might seem like a decent comp points bonus, the reality is very much different.

First, if you’re using free chips or have already redeemed comp points, you won’t be able to claim any more – whatever that means. Additionally, you can only redeem your points when your account balance is at zero, and you have no pending withdrawals.

Furthermore, there are wagering requirements associated with funds redeemed via comp points, set at either 30X or 60X depending on the games you’re playing. However, most notable – and most incredulous – is that you’re limited to a maximum withdrawal of just one times the amount for which you redeem your comp points. This means that even if you accumulate a large number of points, you can only withdraw that same amount.

When considering that you have to fulfill wagering requirements of at least 30 times your bonus amount, it really begs the question of why this promotion is even still offered as we can’t imagine many players would even bother claiming it.

Other Casino Bonuses

When we were writing this Palace of Chance Casino review, Palace of Chance did impress us with their Daily Promotions. Each day of the week you can claim deposit bonuses at the casino. Just remember, you need to use a bonus code to claim; we’ve included the current bonus codes (accurate as of October 2023) below.

Sunday: 210% Match Play Bonus

Sundays might be the end of the weekend, but at Palace of Chance, they’re trying to keep the party going. They offer a 210% match play bonus that you can claim an unlimited number of times. The code to unlock this offer is WEEKENDBLAST, and the minimum deposit to claim it is $30.

Like most of these Daily Promotions, the wagering requirements are set at 10X; however, if you’re making a deposit with cryptocurrency, that number jumps to 40x. You are also limited in the games you can play. You can only use your bonus funds on slot machines, Bonus Bingo, Keno, and Scratch Card games. However, there isn’t a maximum cashout limit, and that’s somewhat rare to see at a Virtual Casino Group property.

Monday: 220% Match Play Bonus

On Monday, you can claim a 220% matched deposit bonus by using the bonus code MONDAYMATCH. Like Sunday’s bonus, the 10X playthrough requirement goes up to 40X if you’re depositing with crypto. Also, this bonus is valid for use on slot machines, Bonus Bingo, Keno, and Scratch Card games. Don’t forget, you must enter the bonus codes for these Daily Promotions when you make your deposit.

If you forget to input the bonus codes, the customer support team will be unable to retrospectively credit the free chip bonus to your account. Again, while some popular games are excluded, there’s no max cashout limit on this bonus, which is always appealing.

Tuesday: 200% Match Play Bonus Plus Extras

Tuesdays offer another decent-looking matched deposit bonus, worth up to 200% your total deposit amount. Like all other Daily Promotions, you need to input bonus codes; on Tuesday, use the code TRIPLETUESDAY. However, on Tuesday, you don’t just get the 200% matched deposit bonus; you also get 100% insurance on your deposit, and a 100% match free chip.

Again, there’s a wagering requirement of 10X – 40X if you deposit using crypto – and, unfortunately, there’s a maximum cashout limit of 10X here. We never like to see max cashout limits, but understand that Palace of Chance Casino is offering quite a lot on this bonus.

Wednesday: 200% No Restrictions Bonus

Wednesday’s bonus sounds the most straightforward: a 200% no restrictions bonus. The code is WILDWEDNESDAY, and the wagering requirements are set at a modest 10X the bonus amount – again, increasing to 40X if you deposit using crypto.

The only game play that doesn’t qualify is Blackjack – although it’s still a pretty decent deposit bonus in our opinion.

Thursday: 200% Match Play Bonus and Insurance

Thursday brings a 200% match play bonus, but there’s an extra perk: a 200% insurance bonus. The code to get this is 2X1THURSDAY. The wagering requirements are, again, 10X or 40X, and some casino games are excluded from bonus game play.

Additionally, there’s a 10X max cashout, so while the insurance might sound like a good backup plan, it’s essential to read its terms and conditions thoroughly.

Friday: 25 Free Spins

Fridays are a bit different. If your last transaction was a deposit, you can contact the customer support team and claim 25 free spins. However, Palace of Chance Casino states that you have to call the customer support team to claim them!

To make matters worse, the free spins come with wagering requirements of 40X – pretty high for a free spins bonus. Plus, the bonus funds can only be used on slots and Keno. There’s also a $100 max cashout, making this – in our eyes – a pretty pointless bonus.

Saturday: 210% Match Play Bonus

Saturday essentially echoes Sunday with a 210% match play bonus, using the code WEEKENDBLAST. The same game limitations, and the same wagering requirements apply; 10X, or 40X for crypto.

All in all, while these promotions may initially seem attractive, when you delve into the details, there are some that are less appealing than you’d initially think. Still, they’re far from the worst we’ve seen from online casinos in the Virtual Casino Group, and aside from the free spins one, they’re all pretty low on the wagering requirement side of things, too.

BANKING AND PAYMENT METHODS

Depositing at Palace of Chance Casino is pretty straightforward, but, as with all sites in this group, there are some things to be aware of. Let’s start with the basics: you can fund your casino account using Visa or MasterCard, be it a credit or debit card. However, before you can submit a withdrawal request you must complete a Credit Card Agreement Form for the Accounting Department. Additional information on this can be found on the Palace of Chance Casino website.

Neteller is another deposit method, although, unfortunately, it’s unavailable for players from several countries, including the USA, Canada, France, Spain, Germany, and Singapore.

Then, there’s Bitcoin, the cryptocurrency that the casino seems eager to promote. Palace of Chance states that Bitcoin deposits are fast, secure, and convenient. However, the speed of your Bitcoin deposit is dependent on how quickly the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain. So, while the site claims their average deposit speed is under 10 minutes, your experience may vary – and, in our experience, these days Bitcoin transactions rarely confirm within 10 minutes.

All game play at the online casino is done using US dollars, and this is something else to consider if you’re depositing from outside the US, as you may have to pay exchange rates.

Palace of Chance Casino Withdrawal Speed

Making withdrawals at Palace of Chance Casino is supposedly straightforward, But this is an area where the casino has struggled with in the past. Indeed, many of the complaints surrounding the casino come from slow or unpaid withdrawals, so we would always take expected time frames with a grain of salt.

It’s not immediately clear which payment methods you can use to make withdrawal requests, although we are confident that you can use bank wire, bitcoin, and check.

Withdrawal Terms, Limits, and Fees

If you make a withdrawal via a bank wire, your withdrawal request can take up to 7 days to be processed and paid. The casino states that most other withdrawals will be processed within 24 hours, and while the site was notorious for payout delays in the past, we have received promising correspondence from a member of staff who noted:

“Most Bitcoin-depositing players have the option of withdrawing using Coindraw.  This function is fully automated, meaning our Withdrawals and Finance Departments are not involved.  We’ve also employed Hooyu, a document validation service.  With Hooyu, players simply upload their documents, and we are notified if the docs are acceptable or if further scrutiny is necessary.  Between Coindraw and Hooyu, our Withdrawals and Finance teams are less overwhelmed and as a result, payments have been consistent and far swifter.”

Subsequently, it seems as though bitcoin is the way to go if you’re looking for fast withdrawals. Unfortunately, the casino has very low withdrawal limits, and you are limited to a maximum of $2,000 per week. The only exception to this is if you are a vip, but there are no guarantees that a higher withdrawal limit will be approved.

Whether the online casino itself charges a withdrawal fee depends on your chosen withdrawal method. What’s more, your bank may – especially if it’s an international transaction. The online casino states they can charge a processing fee of up to $40, although it’s unclear what payment methods this applies to.

Responsible Gaming

Responsible gambling is a serious topic when it comes to online gambling, and it’s somewhat surprising that Palace of Chance doesn’t have a dedicated page for it. Or, shall we say, it’s unsurprising, if you know how Virtual Group casinos operate. At the time of writing, only one of their sites features a responsible gambling page, and even then, it doesn’t offer any tools or actual help; just some cookie-cutter wording that does nothing to help those with a gambling problem.

We find it pretty unbelievable that Palace of Chance continues to not offer a responsible gambling page; it’s completely irresponsible, and does nothing to help their brand regain the image they’re looking to try and recoup.

While Palace of Chance might not offer a dedicated page, it’s crucial for you, as a player, to take responsibility for your own gambling habits. There are many external tools and apps designed to help you monitor your gambling. You can set reminders to take breaks and use budgeting apps to manage your spending.

We’d also encourage you to make use of third-party services for professional help if you feel you’re struggling with gambling issues. Groups like Gamblers Anonymous and hotlines such as the National Problem Gambling Helpline can provide you with help and support.

Customer Support

Customer support at Palace of Chance is available through two main avenues: live chat and email. Live chat is often the quicker route, offering you instant access to a member of the casino’s customer support team. Whether you have questions on playing with bonuses, withdrawing your winnings, want to know how to play games in fun mode, or want to ask about free chip promotions, you shouldn’t have to wait long to receive a response

However, it should be noted that the Virtual Casino Group, which manages Palace of Chance, has historically faced challenges in the customer service department. Recent efforts have been made to elevate the standard of service, including staff retraining and the prospect of dedicated VIP support.

There is also email support available; you can find the current, most up-to-date customer support email address from the site’s contact page. Finally, while there is an FAQ section, it’s barely worth talking about as much of the information is outdated and, simply, inaccurate.

KYC

Palace Chance Casino states that before you can withdraw any of your winnings, you need to complete a Know Your Customer (KYC) Check. This is standard practice at online casinos today, although it’s worth noting that in the past, the site was heavily criticized for prolonging Know Your Customer (KYC) checks – and delaying payments to players.

Thankfully, all of the casinos operating under the Virtual Group now use automated verification software, as the rep pointed out earlier. Hooyu, the company used by Palace of Chance, states: “We validate and cross reference customer-provided data to confirm the identity of your user. We then provide a report with a decision, underlying scores, evidence and audit trail.”

If it works as advertised, this is great news for players; it means you don’t have to wait around for the casino team to manually verify your documents and ensure your personal documents are safe and secure. So, what do you need to provide?

First up is a government-issued photo ID. This can be your driver’s license, passport, or any other official identification that has both your picture and your name clearly visible. The idea is to confirm that you are indeed the person who registered an account.

In addition to the photo ID, you’re also asked to provide a clear selfie. This second layer of verification helps the casino make sure the person in the ID and the account holder are one and the same. In a way, this extra step adds a layer of security against identity theft and fraudulent activities. So, while it might seem like an inconvenience, it’s really there for your own protection.

Now, if you make deposits and withdrawals using Credit and Debit Cards, you may also be asked to make a small Card deposit as a part of the verification process. This isn’t about the casino wanting more of your money; it’s about validating that the card you’re using is indeed yours. This step also confirms that the account isn’t being used for money laundering or any other illicit activities.

Finally, you will also need to provide Proof of Address. This requires you to upload a document showing your full name, address, and it must be dated within the last three months.

Website Experience and Features

Desktop and Mobile Gaming

At first glance, the Palace of Chance desktop interface seems like a classic RTG-powered casino. It’s old school, dated, and definitely one of the older-looking Virtual Casino Group sites. To be honest, it’s in desperate need of modernization – and this is something we feel the online casino should be prioritizing.

While the site offers a left-hand side navigation menu for ease of use, there are significant issues with out of date content. The FAQ page talks about installing old casino software – compatible with Windows 95 – the banking page mentions payment methods that, as far as we can tell, don’t exist – and the terms and conditions page mentions game categories that aren’t available, bonuses long since passed, and payment methods that don’t appear to be available.

On the whole, while the Palace of Chance website works OK, we feel there’s a lot of work needed to bring it up to the modern standards that we expect to see at online casinos in 2023.

Mobile Gaming

When it comes to gaming on the go, Palace of Chance offers a decent mobile experience. You don’t have to download any app; just visit the website from your mobile device. The site automatically redirects you to a mobile-friendly version, maintaining most of the desktop features for seamless gameplay.

palace of chance mobile screenshot taken on 11/16/2023

In our tests, the mobile version of the site performed well. Load times were within acceptable limits, and the game quality didn’t suffer. It’s nice to have the option of playing directly from your mobile browser, and while some players may prefer a dedicated mobile casino app, this is unlikely to change any time soon.

Although some might prefer a dedicated mobile app, it doesn’t look like Palace of Chance will offer one any time soon. Given the smooth performance of the mobile site, the absence of an app isn’t a significant downside.

Download Casino Client

In a time where instant-play has become the norm, Palace of Chance still offers a downloadable software client. Powered by RealTime Gaming, this client is a direct gateway to over 130 games, bypassing the need for a web browser altogether. The process to download and install this software is uncomplicated: find the download button, save the file, and follow the instructions to set it up.

While the downloadable client may not be as useful as it once was, it comes with a few advantages. Most notably, you can access the full range of games without any dependency on a browser. This feature might be appealing for players who prefer a more traditional gaming setup or those who experience browser issues – but to be honest, it’s not needed in today’s day and age, and most players will find it to be more of an inconvenience than anything else.

What we also found interesting was that, on the casino’s FAQ page, they mention installing downloadable software clients compatible with Windows 1995 – which shows that, clearly, the site is out of date and in need of an urgent refresh!

Brand games

Providers

At Palace of Chance, you will encounter a selection of games that spans various categories, including slots, table games, video poker, and specialty options. However, the assortment is predominantly powered by Real Time Gaming (RTG), limiting the diversity you may expect from a more multi-provider platform. There are only a few non-RTG-powered games, from SpinLogic.

If RTG games are what you’re looking for, then you may have no issue with this. However, if you’re looking for a wide variety of casino games from different game developers, you may find the options here less appealing.

Slots

When it comes to slots at Palace of Chance, they’re all (mostly) from RTG. Now, RTG has been around since 1998, so they know a thing or two about developing slots, although many of their games have been criticized for lacking innovation. Still, they have some pretty good games, and we’ll look at some of the most popular games you can play below.

Asgard

asgard by realtime gaming

Asgard is a five-reel, 243-ways-to-win slot that immerses you in Norse mythology. The game features four gods: Odin, Thor, Loki, and Freya, each with their own bonus feature. Odin’s feature offers transforming symbols, Thor’s adds extra wilds, Loki provides bursting wilds, and Freya adds random multipliers.

Besides these, the Thor’s Thunderbolt feature can randomly turn up to 5 reels fully wild. The graphics are detailed, and the background music is pretty good, too. While some players will (rightfully) see this as an Immortal Romance clone, Real Time Gaming has managed to put their own spin on things – a bit.

Cash Bandits 3

cash bandits 3 by realtime gaming

Cash Bandits 3 is a five-reel, 25-payline slot with a cops-and-robbers theme. It comes with a Vault feature where you crack codes to unlock up to six vaults. Successfully cracking the codes can yield up to 390 free spins and a 23X multiplier. It’s a high-volatility game, so expect winnings to come sparsely – but when they do, the money is usually decent.

The game’s graphics are crisp, and the playful music fits the theme well. The symbols include doughnuts, handcuffs, money bags, and the robber himself. The betting range is varied, starting from just a few cents – and it’s one of the most popular games currently available to enjoy at Palace of Chance Casino.

Achilles Deluxe

achilles deluxe by realtime gaming

This five-reel, 20-payline slot offers a fresh look at the Greek hero Achilles. It boasts two different free spins features and it’s possible to hit some great bonuses on this slot machine. Achilles Deluxe has wild symbols that serve a dual role: they not only substitute for other symbols but also apply a multiplier of 2X to any wins they help to form.

There are also two progressive jackpots in the slot, although we’ll be talking more about jackpots later in this review.

T-Rex II

t-rex 2 by realtime gaming

The sequel to the popular T-Rex slot, T-Rex II has five reels and 25 paylines. It comes with a unique T-Rex Terror Wilds feature. When the T-Rex symbol lands on reel one, it can eat other dinosaur symbols on the reels, turning them into extra T-Rex wilds.

The graphics are much better than its predecessor, and the gameplay is smooth. Betting options are flexible, too, making it a game suitable for all budgets. The free spins feature can be retriggered, and we’ve seen some great bonuses on it; it’s a game that can pay, that’s for sure.

Diamond Fiesta

diamond fiesta by realtime gaming

This five-reel, 50-payline slot celebrates the Day of the Dead with a festive atmosphere. You’ll find expanding reels that can grow to an 8×4 grid. The Jackpot Diamond feature can fill the screen with diamond symbols for huge prizes, and, combined with colorful graphics and mariachi music, it’s an excellent RTG slot.

The game features scatter symbols that trigger free spins, and it’s during these free spins that the expanding reels come into play. Like many RTG slots, the free spins bonus round can be re-triggered, too.

Storm Lords

storm lords by realtime gaming

With its 5 reels and 50 paylines, Storm Lords takes you on a journey back into ancient China. The game offers two free spins features: Wild Reels and Treasure Spins. The Treasure Coin feature can trigger the biggest wins and is the focal point of the game. Like all RTG slots today, Storm Lords is fully mobile optimized, so you can enjoy the action from both desktop and mobile devices.

5 Wishes

5 wishes by realtime gaming

This five-reel, 25-payline slot captures the magic of Aladdin and Arabian Nights. The Genie Wild can transform Aladdin, Jasmine, and Monkey symbols into wilds. The game also features a retriggerable free spins feature, boosting your chances for big wins.

The graphics are well-executed, featuring magic lamps, flying carpets, and other icons from the fable. The game’s betting range is suitable for all levels of players, from low-stakes to high-rollers. There are also several randomly-triggered progressive jackpots, which has helped make 5 Wishes one of the most popular – and iconic – RTG slots.

Live Online Casinos

One major disadvantage of playing at Palace of Chance is that they don’t offer a live dealer casino section. For many players, this may even turn out to be a deal breaker. Why? Because live dealer games offer a sense of realism and engagement that you simply can’t get with standard RNG games. They bring the casino atmosphere right into your home, complete with a real dealer, real cards, and real tables. For those who enjoy the social aspect of casino games, the lack of live games – especially in 2023 – is disappointing.

But it’s not just about the gaming experience, either. Live dealer games often have a lower house edge compared to their virtual counterparts. Games like blackjack and baccarat are more favorable when played live, and they’re also just a lot more fun, as you can play alongside other players and interact with them.

What’s surprising is that while RTG doesn’t offer any live games, we’ve seen many RTG-powered online casinos partnering up with third-party game developers like Evolution (previously Evolution Gaming) or Pragmatic Play to offer live dealer games. There is no reason why Palace of Chance can’t do the same – so this is something we’d like to see change in the future.

Table Games and Video Poker

The table games section at Palace of Chance is noticeably limited – something that’s become pretty standard at all Virtual Group Casino sites. You have the standard options of Baccarat and Blackjack, both of which are decent enough, but not amazing – and while the site offers some variations of Blackjack, like Blackjack + Perfect Pairs and Suit ‘Em Up Blackjack, the overall casino table games section is bland and uninspiring.

There’s no modern, exciting games you’d find at more modern casinos, and you won’t find any poker games like Pai Gow Poker or Let It Ride. This lack of variety could be a significant drawback for players who enjoy switching things up or trying out different strategies in diverse settings.

Thankfully, the site does a better job in the video poker department. You’ll find a decent number of titles to enjoy like Aces and Eights, All American Poker, and Bonus Deuces Wild. Other popular video poker titles like Jacks or Better are also available, with some games offering multi-hand play.

There is also a very small section of Speciality Games; interestingly, European roulette is lumped here, though we’re not entirely sure why it’s classed as a specialty game. In addition to European roulette you’ll find just European roulette, Keno, Banana Jones, and Fish Catch.

Progressive Jackpots

Regarding progressive jackpot slots, Palace of Chance does offer a selection of games that you’d expect to find at most decent RTG sites. However, the size of these progressive jackpots is notably smaller than ones from other game developers like Microgaming or Neteller – although this is, of course, nothing to do with the casino, but the provider. Below, we’ll look at a few of the jackpot games available at Palace of Chance Casino.

Aztec’s Millions

aztec millions by realtime gaming

Aztec’s Millions is a 5-reel, 25-payline progressive jackpot slot that takes you on a journey to ancient civilization. This game focuses on the Aztecs and features icons like the Aztec King, golden treasures, and exotic leopards. One notable feature of this game is the fixed bet amount; you need to bet $5 on each spin to qualify for the progressive jackpot. The game offers a free spins feature that can be retriggered, which is a definite plus.

Additionally, the scatter symbols, represented by the Aztec idol, multiply your total bet. The Aztec King serves as the wild symbol, replacing other symbols except for the scatter and jackpot symbols. Of course, it’s the latter you’ll want to keep an eye out for – and doing so could award you one of the progressive jackpots, often worth a whopping six-figures!

Megasaur

megasour by realtime gaming

Megasaur is a prehistoric-themed, 5-reel, 25-payline progressive slot, featuring fearsome dinosaurs. The Green and Red Megasaurs serve as wild symbols and can replace other dinosaurs, making it easier to hit winning combinations. Three or more Volcano scatter symbols trigger the Megasaur Feature, awarding free spins, and during this feature, the Green and Red Megasaurs eat other dinosaurs, turning them into wilds for more wins.

Betting ranges are flexible, but you’ll need to activate the “Bet Max” feature to qualify for the progressive jackpot. Like many RTG slots, the progressive jackpots in Megasaur are awarded randomly.

Spirit of the Inca

spirit of the inca by realtime gaming

Taking you back to the time of the Inca civilization, Spirit of the Inca is a five-reel, 25-payline progressive; one of the most popular from RTG. It has five “boiling point” jackpots, each with a different reset value. The game offers an interesting feature known as “Incan Spirit,” which can trigger on an entire reel, transforming other symbols into wilds.

You can win up to 75 free spins with a 10X multiplier if you land enough scatter symbols, and during this bonus it’s possible to hit some pretty decent wins. However, you should be aware that to be eligible for the jackpot, you must bet at the max stake.

Jackpot Piñatas

jackpot pinatas by realtime gaming

Jackpot Piñatas is a colorful, five-reel, 20-payline progressive slot with a festive Mexican party theme. Symbols include piñatas, tacos, fireworks, and sombrero, and we think it’s fair to say that from the moment you begin playing you’ll genuinely feel like you’ve flown to Mexico! Three or more scattered Dog Piñatas trigger a bonus round where you can win up to 200X,  or up to 25 free spins, and during the later, all wins are multiplied by 2X!

The game boasts bright and cheerful graphics, fitting perfectly with the fiesta theme. The sound effects of mariachi music make for a pretty fun slotting experience – but it’s not the game’s looks that most players care about; it’s the lucrative progressive jackpots that can trigger randomly on any spin!

About the Team and History

When talking about Palace of Chance, it’s impossible not to discuss its parent company, the Virtual Casino Group. The group’s journey in the gaming industry has been anything but smooth. To understand the present and future of Palace of Chance, you’ve got to dig into the group’s notorious past.

In the past, the group was infamous for its slow payments, and in some cases, no payments at all. For about 15 years, the Virtual Casino Group operated under a flawed business model, earning themselves a horrendous reputation in the process. They received numerous (bad) awards here at Casinomeister including “Worst Casino Group” and more.

However, things seemed to start changing back in 2013 when the group was put on probation due to a sharp drop in player complaints. After two years of improvement, they were officially out of the Rogue Pit. It seemed like they had managed to begin turning things around. However, as is often the case in life, all good things must come to an end – and once the Virtual Casino Group moved its operations to Eastern Europe, things went down the drain – again – and we began receiving a stark increase in player complaints. In 2017, they were, once again, awarded the “Worst Casino Group” award.

However, after almost six years, the Virtual Casino Group, including Palace of Chance, appears to be, once again, committed to making positive changes. Their rep has been in regular contact, and has outlined the changes they’re making – internally, and with us – to ensure their brand doesn’t, once again, fall into the rogue pit and continue to be seen as a rogue online gambling operation.

So, while Palace of Chance and the Virtual Casino Group have a stained past, the recent changes indicate a potential turnaround. Of course, online time will tell if this change is genuine or just more lip service, but, for now at least, we have nothing to suggest they’re not being upfront with us – and we look forward to seeing how they continue to act in the future.

Complaints and Track Record

A quick glance in the Casinomeister forum will bring up threads discussing negative feedback, delayed payments, no-payout cases – but that’s only half the story. Unlike some of the Virtual Group brands, Palace of Chance also has threads praising it as a great site, recommending others playing there, and telling us their stories of receiving their winnings. Below, we will look at a few positive and negative threads.

Firstly, there’s an open-ended question from Francy5, who said:

“Has anyone had any bad or good experiences with Palace of Chance and Dreams casinos?”

Tirjel was first to respond, giving a pretty balanced – and fair – overview of the once Costa-Rica based said. They said:

“I can see you’re not new here but I have no idea how come you don’t know more about these casinos. Dreams are one of those who just got a new name. Don’t remember which one though. Scroll to the bottom here, and read all you can. If you’re willing to wait a month or three to get paid they are fine. Just don’t complain because they are slow paying.”

Then, and interesting back-and-forth began, with one commenter posting (a fairly accurate) breakdown of the group:

“Both Dreams and Palace of Chance are owned by a crim who spent a few years in the slammer in the USA in the 90s for a real estate fraud scheme where he scammed people out of their homes. His casinos have ripped off countless people over the past decade. Every few years they employ some new marketing grunts to come up with a white wash claiming that they are on the straight and narrow. Inevitably they end up back where they started, a criminal enterprise.

So yeah, lovely place, great casinos, who cares if they built their business on the back of ripping people off for years? Who cares if they are owned by a guy who has gone to jail for stealing other people’s money and who would fail any test of character required by any proper licensing jurisdiction in the world? Don’t worry about the guy who went to Costa Rica to ask about his money and was beaten up by hired thugs working for the owner. Never mind if they take a month or more to pay you. Enjoy yourself.”

Midasman came in to report their experiences with the software business – telling the Casinomeister forums:

“I have never had a problem with the Virtual Group. In 2013, I played mostly at Slots of Vegas, Palace of Chance, and Prism Casinos. I sent in my documents as required and received every winning check I had coming–in about a month and a half.

Sure, a month and a half may be considered a long time to get paid: But the important issue is I was PAID IN FULL by every Virtual Casino I played in and was fortunate to consistently win anywhere from $800 to $1000 or more from the VG casinos I played in.

During 2013, I was playing the Virtual Casinos on a fairly regular basis and won more than $6000 in a series of increments and never had a problem collecting my winnings; furthermore, the Virtual Group never gave me cause to complain about their casinos not paying.”

Another Casinomeister member – PartlyHumbel – posted:

“I also sometimes play at their casinos. I know about the long withdrawal times – everyone can read it, when registering. there was never a cent missing from my withdrawals and they always arrived earlier than stated.

At some casinos I am so far ahead that I got bonus banned. That’s the only thing that happened. By the way, one casino of that group once accelerated a withdrawal on request. It landed in my EWallet account the very next day and it was for a decent amount, too.”

Then, PartlyHumbel came back in with, what is, in our opinion, one of the most interesting – and possibly true – takes on the group’s slow payouts (not that it’s an excuse for them:)

“When casinos offer those high, no-rules bonuses, they have no wagering requirements – it’s only a 1X playthrough. There’s no max bet rule, no strings attached. All slots are allowed, including those high-variance games like Triple Twister, which I sometimes call the bank-buster slot.

If they started processing as quickly as casinos that don’t offer these extremely player-favoring bonuses, I don’t think a billion-dollar corporation would survive for long. These bonuses are intended to help players get some money back when the casino is hopelessly ahead. These bonuses are extremely generous. (I am banned from these bonuses at Dreams, by the way, and I can understand that from their point of view. However, I won’t accept wagering requirement bonuses for RTG games to play).

Your disadvantage is that Neteller and Skrill do not offer service to your region. If you process payments and withdrawals using those e-wallets, the Virtual Group’s processing speed also improves. Cheque payment is always a disadvantage, and since they are paying into the US, there might be some obstacles they have to overcome to send you your money.”

So, while it’s clearly a mixture of positive and negative feedback, the casino’s payout issues can, sometimes, be understood, at least; as a gambling software business they’re in it to make money – but that does not excuse refusing to honor a withdrawal request, of course.
