"The Casino Ring" was a website you would join and upload your banner. You would place the script at the bottom of your page and the members of "the Casino Ring" would have their banners rotated through to include yours. Back then there was no SEO, and most webmasters (those happy few) were friendly competitors. It wasn't until the early 2000s that the affiliate business began to get ugly.

I spent like half an hour at that website yesterday - I mean yeah the website is pretty bad, but the content was kinda bizarre too. I wonder if those people dress like that all the time or.....?
