I am an honest new player. And I only pick reputable casions to wager.
All my accounts in them are alive. But winward casion ripped me off by sending me into a socall negative database just because I tried to withdrew my winnings. I deposited $500 and wagerred more than $6000, they told me that I can withdraw without problem. Then I send them the copied of my id and utility bills. Eveything seems fine but finally they block my account and refused to pay the winnings. I asked their online support, they told me that they have right to close anyone's account without any reason. And I continued to ask for a reason. They rudely told me that I was in blacklist.
Thats ridiculous. I an a new internet gambler, and I only registered about 10 casions so far. All of them turn out to be very good. Winword support can not give me any solution, just kept saying that they can block any people by any reason. I don't very much care about the winnings but I do care about what they did to me. If they send me into negative database can I register other casions in the future?
WINWARDCASINO is a EVIL. If you win a lot you will be seriously ripped off.

Hi xxin,

Welcome to the forum. Please read the FAQs of the section and the "MUST READ: Posting Your Complaint"

Fraudulent complaints will not be tolerated. This is not a message board that condones the bashing of casinos. If you are posting a public complaint, ensure that it is free of subjective and insulting comments and that it is truthful.

All complaints will eventually be investigated. If it turns out that the post was fraudulent in nature, the member will be banned and possibly invoiced for time and effort spent investigating the issue.

There's a bit too much subjectivity and emotionalism involved with your public posting; you probably just nulified your PAB.

It's been forwarded to the casino. Hang tight. I would seriously doubt that Winward would hold back paying you unless they had a damn good reason not to.

I don't mean to insult any reputable casinos here if Winward really belong to them. I only want to tell the truth and let other players watch out. I apologize if my words are inappropriate and irritate someone. I suggest players stay away from that group.

I am curious as to what the "damn good reason" was.

Me too. Its a pretty big U-turn for the casino after closing the player's account, refusing to pay him and putting him on a blacklist.

The player first posted on my site and I directed him to Bryan but this should tell you why he was not paid at first : Link Removed ( Old/Invalid)

So the casino has a history of inventing excuses to not pay the players. I assume from reading the link posted by Sirius, that it also applies in this case and that the player has done nothing wrong. If this is true then I think there should be a warning about Winward casino because marking the post title as "resolved" implies that all is well and the casino is still trustworthy.

I get popups telling me that the site needs to be viewed with a screen width of at least 1000 pixel. My screen is 1024x768. What's the problem?

Why do you insist on IE? IE is not the only browser, it is certainly not the best, and it is not available on all operating systems.

It is not exactly a pop up but it redirects you if the page width is less than 1000 and enlarges the width. Maybe you have the taskbar on the side of the screen. This only happens in IE and not Firefox, which displays the forum fine on smaller screens (but the homepage is displayed badly on firefox!). Opera is the worst though and even the forum pages look crap (although it shouldn't need to resize the screen for Opera either even though it does at the moment- it is just a problem with IE and the forum pages).

My screen is 1024x768 and I do not have a task bar on the side. Why does your site think that my screen width is less than 1000 pixel and why does it want to resize the window? Why don't you let the user decide what's best for him?

Basically, the forum ends up below the first column on the left if the screen is not wide enough. It only happens with IE. I will try and fix it but I can't add tables before the main menu or it won't work.

I don't use IE, but Slimbrowser which uses IE's rendering engine. I get this popup every few seconds. The same thing happens with IE, the only difference is that Slimbrowser does not let your site change the window size, while IE does, but it does not stop the popup even when the width is 1024 pixels. It is your site, it is your choice what you do with it, but it is unusable.

I just got back after a few days leave -- the "pretty big U-turn" was that there are two players with the virtually the same user name and family name and country of origin. Simply stated, he was confused with someone else who was on their blacklist. This player was paid in full.

Hi Grandfather -

Slimbrowser's actual viewing window is less than 1000 pixels because it has wide borders on both sides. Thus Faircasinos can't load in that browser, though I might suggest that Sirius use a number less than 1000 pixels if he can. All I check for on Got2Bet is something over 800 pixels, though the site will still load no matter what your screen size is.

That being said, Slimbrowser also loads an Ask Jeeves toolbar - something which I don't want, and was not given an option to "not install". Then it also tried to connect directly to the FlashPeaks homepage - which my firewall detected - and also not a good idea.

Lastly, Slimbrowser did not report itself correctly in my logs, though this could be because I have another browser active.

May I suggest Netcaptor as an alternative? I've been using this for a few years now and am pretty happy with it.

Slimbrowser borders don't seem to be any wider than IE's, so this does not explain the problem.

Slimbrowser does install the Ask Jeeves toolbar, I don't think this can be prevented, but it can be turned off. When you run it for the first time it goes to the flashpeak.com website, and it checks for updates by default, but otherwise it does not contact Flashpeak.com and this check for updates can also be turned off.

Netcaptor looks quite similar to Slimbrowser in its features, as I have Slimbrowser set up in the way I like it, I am not tempted to switch.

I fixed the problem with the width so it works on IE and doesn't need to be resized. I had to use css because the menu is in css and won't work with tables around it.

The default version of Slimbrowser I installed definitely had borders. IE has no border, though you will see a scroll bar on the right if the page is long. I would take a screenshot but I already uninstalled :D

My version of Netcaptor (admittedly, probably not up to date) didn't install anything extra, which is the way it should be. It is definitely similar, that was the whole point of recommending it!

Confused Winward

Another case of 'Shoot first and ask questions later'.
If Winward had discussed this properly with the player concerned the issue would have been resolved by a more detailed ID check (and privately too). They could have requested further documentation. Many people have the same or similar names, so anyone named Smith or Jones had better steer clear of Winward.
I played Winward with the $500 match, won a little and cashed out. No problems, other than annoying software glitch in the casino foyer. At first reading I thought, oh dear - thank goodness I have no money in there, it's a rogue casino. Now that Winward have actually explained what happened it is simply an unfortunate mistake handled very badly by support, only resolved when it went public. This must have caused them some damage. This whole business of 'confiscation without trial' is giving the industry as a whole a poor reputation. New players are increasingly going to be put off, and the industry will have only the seasoned players to fight over. What about players who simply make a small 'typo' in the details, they will be 'Blacklisted' and really have no idea why, and will assume they were deliberately conned - and the casino will have instantly assumed the player is a fraud without really looking into it.
For example, Microgaming states 'enter name EXACTLY as it appears on the card', yet it will NOT allow you to enter 'Mr Joe Bloggs', you must enter 'Joe Bloggs' - but this is NOT 'exactly' how it appears on the card. Could this be enough to trip an automated 'fraud detection' system? This has often worried me, but it has not come to that yet.

That's a new excuse as to why they would withhold someone's payment. Any online casino as prominent as Winward would no doubt pour oodles of cash and man hours into security, which has got to be probably the single most important issue from the casino's concern. This would mean hiring the best security personnel money can buy along with the most up to date and sophisticated equipment . To say that they confused one patron with another is completely bogus and sends a message that they believe that the average gambler is naive and pretty gullible. This was IMO a clear case of the casino bullying someone around until they realized he'd gotten a hold of big brother to help him out........ and "big brother" in this case happened to be Bryan. How many others are getting this treatment without anyone to come to their aid? Perhaps many! And what has the casino got to lose by trying these tactics on the unwary player? Nothing at all! They only stand to gain.... and if someone calls them on it, well they can just give the excuse that they'd confused him with another player.. or some other "honest" mistake. They may think we're suckers for playing their games, but they're sadly mistaken when they assume everyone playing online is also stupid.

Hmm, interesting excuse from Winward.

If I was really cynical I'd think it was a just another case that seems to happen about once every 6 months with them, where they decide to confiscate a players winnings for no good reason.....but I'm not so I wont :D ;)

FTR their sister Riverboat did the same to me by claiming UK players were banned even though there was no mention of it on the site and they allowed me to select UK form a drop down menu, deposit and play.

That was about a year ago and there's still no mention of UK players being banned on their site (only the Danes). Hmm, wonder if they ever really intended to ban them :what:

Oh they did end up paying me eventually BTW after intervention from here and WOL (thanks again everyone involved).
