I have this on sucks too lol

only .40 , I didnt know where to put this because its a nice win but it sucks because i only had .40, so sorry for the double post.

sorry to hijack the thread if this is the wrong place to ask but it is related to big wins,

i was playing the billionaire slot earlier i forget the proper name where you have to pick one of 4 people then chose objects,
my question is this: i had two picks (4 bonus symbols) on the guy with the oil wells and diggers, i picked 5k and 3k, the others revealed amounts varying up to 15k, if i had picked the one that was 15k would it actually have been that amount or does it just show those to entice you to play more? or is the prize predetermined?

thanks for any help and sorry to hijack again
:)

:rolleyes:if i am right, you mean Cashville, the MG slot?!

The price is right, but given in the coin size, you played. 15,000 at a 0,01 coin size means 150.
ok?
i am not sure, if you really have a choice. There are several slots, who suggest a choice, and in many cases i believe that you can choose WRONG (take moonshine f.e.)
but i have quite often taken a very good choice.
Is this luck or experience?:p

thanks mike yeah thats the one cashville, played at Ladbrokes, yeah i understood it was 15k coins i was just wondering if it would actually be that amount if you did pick that one or would the software change it for a different predetermined value.

thanks for yoru reply mate :)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but...

That's why I think it's always wise to play with a higher coin denomination (say, .05-.10) for those games that have bonus rounds that pay in coins as opposed to simply multiplying your total bet by whatever amount. Even if you only play with 1 coin per line, the bonus round will pay much better than at .01 with multiple coins per line.

Nobody (except for the programmers) really knows whether it's predetermined or not.

My hunch is that it is predetermined. If you had clicked the other one, you probably would have gotten the same amount.

But... I've said this before and I'll say it again: since we really don't know, we are entitled to have it both ways: If you pick the largest amount, way to go! If you don't pick the largest amount, well, what can you do - it's all predetermined anyway. :D

I've thought about this a lot. I'm almost 100% certain that all 'pick 'em' style bonuses, and the 'remainder display' is just for show. Thing is, you do sometimes hit the big ones - so it's all part of the expected return/percentages... I used to quite like Cashville, forgot all about it!

I agree with this and also with mikepipe and SlotsWizard.

I also play in a casino site with lots of games (quite simple to program I would think if you compare them with real casino games). You can't win money there but points. And there are a few games that add to your balance before you could make your choice. The moment you open the game you can check your balance and you see that it has gone up a few points before you even had the chance to make a choice. So it this case the win is definitely predetermined.
I am sure there is a significant difference between the way the games on that site and the games on casinos work. But I also had an up and down on my real money modus playing at online casinos before the result of the spin was visible to me. But I did have click already the spin button. The spin was just not finished yet. I am sure there is a logical explanation for this "phenomenon" that has to do with the casino's server and the time needed to be seen by us. But it still makes one think that many spins/bonuses could be predetermined.
Casino people call it "random" :)

We'll never find out...

This is one of my 'pet niggles' as well.
I would prefer to think the bonus amounts are actually set behind each symbol & that my pick really does effect the result.
Last time I played Cashville I got the bonus twice in 3 spins & picked the biggest win both times!
($80 off 80c spins, twice!)

With games like Prime Property & Moonshine I usually just go along the top row, back the next row, along the next...
I still don't know if it predetermined or not, but it's nice when this happens:-

Last night in the MG stud freeroll I came in 4th place ($24). I went to the mini-casino and played the loosest game they offer: Ho Ho Ho.

After 2 or 3 spins I got the free spins. And it retriggered...

not once...

not twice...

not thrice...

but FOUR times for a total of

100 free spins (at 2x)

The overall win was 162.53x my bet. It's a shame I was low rolling, and that the win was less than the approximate EV of $57, but that's okay.

:thumbsup:this was off my first and only spin ever on GREEN LIGHT. three greens, plus a 2nd place race, and third in the bonus race, then the 20(?) bonus spins.

20 cents pays $12.70. best paid/wagered ratio ever to be achieved on this game, for certain!

only a 63.5x win, but given how little i put into hitting it i think it deserves placement here, and probably the only one i'll ever have since i'm not big on slots. and i don't want to sign up to image-hosting right now, so it's only attached.

go do one single spin and see how good you do! ;):thumbsup:

no sorry, because i prefer always another slots ;)

i like this green light game the same as chamber's treasure! :)

to me, this means nichts, as i am not a slot-slave like some here :thumbsup:

naja, da kommt mir trotzdem spanisch vor

just looking at those previous wins and seeing only a few win lines active excuse my igonornace but do feature symbols have to come in on active winlines or could you just play 1 line until a feature comes in? if its a scatter and not any active winline one of course

Hi there

The magic spell win is on an active line but what on earth is 5 lines (out of a max of 9) You could play it at 1 line per go and still get into the feature but the bonuses are multiplied by lines and coins, so playing at 5/9 lines would win you 5/9 times as much.

I have a theory about the 9-liners that I seem to get in the features much more paying at a lower lines, so I usually play 5 and increase the amount per line. Keeping an eye on other potential wins I've never missed a big win on lines 7,8,9 plus my big wins have always been on the first 5. The 25/40 liners I always play at max as they do seem to pay the big wins on lines 20-40. Just a hunch which may kick me in the teeth one day if I miss a jackpot ;)

@ Mike031,

Somehow over the years I've managed to never play Derby Dollars before

But your shots inspired me to have a go.
At first I thought it was pretty poor - 161 spins to get feature.
Got 10 spins + 5 more & won $23 off 40c.
But then 34 spins later this hit!

I was cursing it again as nothing was hitting, until the last spin it decided to throw me a 5-of-a-kind!

(Just over x100 - so qualifies! :p )

Thanks Mike!

*lol*
Yes you're qualified for your selfnamed rule ;) *rofl*

I know, that this slot can be a long time very boring, but then comes always a streak on which you hit very much and then comes bonus round after bonus round and that's the good thing on this slot :)

But the most users make a big error and stops to playing after the first bonus round, because this one gives you really very often not much, but shortly after it, you get it again and at the most time with a higher win:)

But that's RTG and if you play with low bets and a higher balance, you can see this always again, if you play about some hours with it ;)

Your secrets on how to win at RTG casinos are starting to come out!

What about low bets and a small balance? Wait, never mind. I already know what happens.

Thunderstruck is giving me some love this morning.

This of course isn't profit since I just dropped $800.00 at King Neptune's. Couldn't hit a thing to save my soul and didn't even earn enough comp points to get an extra 5 bucks.
