Sure Win Cup January 2016
In October's tournament, I had 6 places in the money and made a profit of 39 euro, which was my second-worst return from the six tournaments
I've played.
January proved to be my worst tournament so far....
My top 100 finishes in reverse order....
Blackjack Ballroom account. Scraped in despite scoring nearly 19,000 points more than what 100th place got in October. Got 3 FS rounds.
Casino Share account. Again, I got 3 FS rounds.
Vegas Country account. Helped by a 5OAK of green jockey with wild in base game play. But I could only get 1 FS round. Was in the money with 2 continues to spare, but finished with 2 stinkers.
Golden Tiger account. Helped by 3 FS rounds.
Lucky Emperor account. Helped by a 5OAK of red jockey with wild in base game play. Got 2 FS rounds. Was in the top 60 with 2 continues to spare, but again, two stinkers to finish cost me bigtime.
Total spend: 316 euro
Total winnings: 240 euro
Total net losses: 76 euro
NUMBER NERD CORNER
I didn't quite do what I did in July and October, where I had 6 money finishes. This time, I ended with 5. But I had no less than 7 finishes between 101st and 150th. All with scores that would have been good enough to be in the money in October's tournament. But a combination of much heavier scoring and higher turnout, along with me getting a lot of decent games (but being unable to get a great one) did me in this time.
It was not to be "a Lucky 7th" Sure Win Cup for me, as I took only my second (but easily my biggest) loss in 7 tournaments.
This was despite getting a total of 71 FS rounds from 6,715 total spins played in Round 4, an average of 1 per 95 spins (WAYYYY better than the expected average). My longest drought without a FS round was only 388 spins. The quantity was there, but the quality was not. My overall RTP in Round 4 was 103.53%.
Yet in comparison...in October's tournament, I got just 54 FS rounds from a total of 6,765 total spins, an average of 1 per 125 spins.
My longest drought without a FS round was 732 spins. And my overall RTP was just 88.24%. And yet, I scraped a small profit. Because I landed one big score. That's really all it takes to make a profit....a solitary Top 20 finish.
There's the trouble with pissing contests. Several good pisses don't add up to a great piss.
So that makes my overall Sure Win Cup results look like this....
July 2014 - Total profit: 130 euro (Prizes: 175 euro, Spend: 45 euro)
October 2014 - Total profit: 276 euro (Prizes: 500 euro, Spend: 224 euro)
January 2015 - Total profit: 431 euro (Prizes: 625 euro, Spend: 194 euro)
April 2015 -
Total losses: 5 euro (Prizes: 300 euro, Spend: 305 euro)
July 2015 - Total profit: 376 euro (Prizes: 660 euro, Spend: 284 euro)
October 2015 - Total profit: 39 euro (Prizes: 380 euro, Spend: 341 euro)
January 2016 -
Total losses: 76 euro (Prizes: 240 euro, Spend: 316 euro)
Total profit: 1,171 euro (Prizes: 2,880 euro, Spend: 1,709 euro)
Luckily for me, when I went to play the remainder of my balances, I got some good hits that more than made up for the net loss from this tournament.
