Yeah, don't worry too much, we can see you had no benefit from posting the link and was trying to be helpful. It's actually nice to see a US national playing the slots we do in Europe and the UK. Do you prefer them to the traditional WMS/IGT stuff in the US land-based?

Probably the best question you can ask as I found myself thinking about that.

It's hard to beat the live Las Vegas feel, hear, smell and touch aura but that sadly IMHO is a thing of the past. Used to go to Vegas 2 or 3 times a year as basically all accommodations and food along with transportation was "comped" me being a regular visitor. I'm not a high roller but I do enjoy a bit of gambling from time to time plus the atmosphere WAS brilliant along with the very tailored service like you are a friend. At least that is how it felt. Around 2003 or 2004 everything changed to a very corporate atmosphere and I felt treated like just another number.

With that being the case, I let my feet do the talking and started to go to Freemont or where everything started in the 1950s AWAY from the strip. At that time, it still had the old time atmosphere but around 2011 that started to go South as well. I have played Texas Holdem off and on for 10 years or so and about 6 months ago I started playing slots. I have always been familiar with them but was amazed at the marvelous progression over the years.

I believe this "progression" and variation has been the main draw for me. When I was a teenager in the early 1980s video games started and many younger folks like myself took to them heavily.

With all that said, I must be candid and say the main reason I started playing slots online is the local Thai girls here are utterly addicted to them. Many of the local online Asian casinos (Mostly Chinese and Filipino) allow for payment by phone thus many are getting hooked and they make affiliates out of normal people like taxi drivers. You see people constantly going to 7-11s to "reload" their gambling habits. Clever blanket marketing indeed but ultimately sinister in nature. Of course, responsible gambling is not discussed. Thus the effect on the local population here has been quite profound.

By the way, keep away from most if not all Chinese or Filipino owned casinos. The games literally are copies and who knows what the payouts are.

I'm finding the online experience to be excellent and profitable if you do the research exercising control and patience. But you still can't beat the dynamics of proper "live" action. By the way, Macao sucks compared to Vegas IMHO.
