hello there, another experience and not a very good 1 to say the least

as im not an "active" gambler as much anymore i saw the william hill casino club "no deposit" bonus and thought id try it

i played for about 4 hours and i was wondering if i had met the wagering requirements and then make a 35 deposit (as it says on the bonus page) and of course cashout the winnings from my no deposit bonus.

i spoke to support and after asking if i had met wagering requirements he spent 10 mins checking and told me that i had met the wagering requirements and could simply make a deposit and cash it all out. I asked at 1st if i made the deposit and got say a "signup" bonus would i still be able to cashout the no deposit winnings + my deposit and he explained how i could still cashout the no deposit winnings and my deposit even if i got this bonus.

i then asked for confirmations that its 35 minimum deposit in order to cashout the no deposit winnings, he told me something like "i advise you to deposit 40 because 40 is a lucky number" so off i go depositng 40 with the intention of withdrawing that 40 + my no deposit bonus winnings that i "met the wagering requirements" for

upon depositing i recieved a 60 bonus (1st deposit bonus or something?) and the same person i spoke to in support left me a further live support message explaining how i can now fully withdraw the whole balance of my account (minus the 60 deposit bonus)

upon withdrawing to my suprise i was informed that i could only withdraw 40 because the rest of the money is bonus money...so i got onto live support again

it was someone new i spoke to this time, at 1st they gave me the impression that i hadnt met the bonus wagering requirements at all, then they looked at the previous chat convo with the other person and tried telling me that the person i spoke to didnt tell me i could withdraw the full balance.

next they tried telling me that the no deposit bonus is not redeemable even once the wagering requirements are met (again on the promotion page for this it clearly states otherwise), they then asked how much was my no deposit winnings (almost as if they were asking me to say how much i had won with the no deposit minus that 30 no deposit so they could allow me to only cash out that) in the end i just exited the casino and will have to contact them via email

the only reason for my deposit was because i had been told by support that i had fully met the wagering requirements of their no deposit 30 bonus, if this was not the case and i was told that then i would not of made the deposit at that time and instead would of played until i had met the requirements or of course lost

im confident that i will get the money paid because obviously william hill are a big established name, but that doesnt prevent the fact that i was given false information on the basis of me making a deposit

So you gave them the 40, and you got no tip for the extra 5 at all? Or did you leave before the op had a chance to tell you?

Any way it would be cool if you could email and ask for it. (just to see what they say)

Basically I know it's bull, but I want them to spew it out to you.

nope they didnt offer to give me a tip, i said i would deposit 35 to the support staff member and he said "why not 40 because 40 is a lucky number"

Have they lost their minds??????

WTF are William Hill Playing at!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They gave an undertaking to Max and CM that they were going to "clean up" the terrible image of the casinos they purchased. This is showing the exact opposite, the tricks of the casinos they purchased are now being pulled at the main William Hill casino.

Max DID comment that he was seeing some NEW problems, despite the promise from upper management at William Hill Online. I would thesefore suggest gathering together any evidence, such as emails and transcripts to demonstrate what has happened, which basically is "bait & switch"

bait = deposit 40 and you can then withdraw your winnings from the chip

switch = now we have your 40, NO you can't withdraw the winnings, and you never could, you have 60 bonus with more WR.

They DID say that you could withdraw the 40, so why not do this instead of falling for the "bait & switch".

I had an account at the old William Hill Crypto casino, but stopped playing ages ago. I am being constantly offered this very same "bait & switch" offer, a free 25 no deposit chip if I try their new Playtech casino. Next time, I might check the terms more closely to see what is buried in the small print.

i think the issue may of been sorted now,

i did contact a rep, and i did recieve an emailing from them

the bottom line was

"Your account has been updated and the technical error was rectified. You may
now request for a withdrawal of your deposit plus winnings.

We apologize for the confusion.

Congratulations! "

so now 90.32 has been requested,

they have admitted errors and misundertandings on their behalf which is fair enough.

but certainly as i mentioned, some staff need training/putting in there place because lets say for this no deposit bonus. The minimum deposit in order to withdraw the bonus clearly states on the site and is 35... so why was i told to deposit 40 as "40 is a lucky number" instead of 35 and why was the other guy who posted about this problem also asked to deposit 40 after offers of a "tip" and making her the "happiest girl here" if he did?

i dont get that.... why in both cases were we both in some way "convinced" to deposit 40 instead of 35??? because they get extra pay if they get someone to deposit 40 or more????

the ND bonus seems pretty stupid as well because as i mention with anywhere else i have played with a ND bonus once you have met the wagering requirements then the whole bonus is completely withdrawable (so if the bonus was 30 and the end balance was 60 you could cashout the full 60) whereas in this case i was only allowed to cashout what i had won once completing the WR (the balance was 80.32, but the 30 ND bonus amount was taken off what i could withdraw so only could cashout 50.32 winnings)

I never got that far, I have ignored the offer - even though it is a free chip, BECAUSE of the problems surrounding the Playtech side of William Hill Online.

It may be poorly trained staff, but they exhibit a common problem in that they WILL NOT BE TOLD that they might be wrong, and will stick to their guns with the player, even though they are the "wrong guns", and will often REFUSE point blank to check with a supervisor.
Suggesting you deposit 40 using the "lucky number" argument should in itself be considered an even MORE serious offense, since it is in breach of responsible gambling guidelines to attempt to get players to deposit more than they had intended by "bargaining" at the point of sale - it is NOT the same as informing a player that a different deposit would get them a different/better offer. I am wondering if the suggestion was down to 40 being needed to trigger the 60 bonus, thus tying you into further WR, whereas at 35 the software would not credit a bonus. The terms for the 60 welcome bonus would reveal if this is so.

hmm that is true about CS, i remember 1 them even basically asking me if i even knew what a no deposit bonus was the other night lol

just seen the terms...

150% up to 150 free
Minimum Deposit: The minimum deposit to receive this bonus is 35

i dont know what it could of been then, perhaps a "sales" technique? they get a certain amount of people to deposit a certain amount and they get a nice juice bonus in their pay check? n as they knew i was depositing 35 as its the minimum to be able to claim that deposit, they could well of thought "oh well we can get this mug to deposit and extra 5 n make the deposit 40.... 1 step closer to our bonus that way"

talking of playtech in general, if im honest i hate playtech, the games suck and more often than not im bored within to 1st hour of playing, but what makes playtech software 10x worse is the way reps, support staff etc can just click on your name and drop you a message

if i decided to play at a certain casino i would know what i want and what bonuses i would like to claim. I hate it when i login, someone opens the chat window and tries talking to me, then they try and bag some bullcrap like "you sound like a decent person... just for you im going to increase the bonus, instead of a 100% match bonus you can have a 125% bonus" when thats just a "tactic" because they arent giving you a better offer, its just tempting you to deposit more so you have high WR's to meet and 9/10 times end up losing it all. In the past whenever i joined a playtech casino and had support contact me via live support instantly trying to blag this i would simply exit the casino and uninstall for good because i think to myself "if they have time to bug me with offers then surely there cant be many players at this casino so it cant be too good"

what makes me laugh even more is when the support instantly says to you "look i can help you make a deposit, i will guide you through every single step"

maybe its just me or does the playtech software have a staff bonus system? where they can monitor which staff members gained them the most deposits or set targets for staff to meet to get bonus wages?? if that is the case then it should be allowed because obviously "forcing", "persuading" or giving reasons (that myself and LOOKAWAY were given) to get the player to make extra deposits shouldnt be allowed. As you mentioned if someone who is a responsible gambler wanted to play with 40 for example and were sucked into suggestions of "winning tips" if they deposited more then they could well be tempted thus more than likely losing more money which defeats the object of "responsible gambling"
