I want to ask every member why ?

Why just America beautiful ?
I see another country is more beautiful from America. But why we say here "America The Beautiful" ?

.

America is not very beautiful when it comes to online gaming hence the slightly sarcastic title.

This is the section where US members can discuss more...sensitive issues.

THIS GUY is Ray Charles a Very famous musician singer. He is blind and self taught. He is American and his signature song was "America the Beautiful!"

It is a favorite and very patriotic song for Americans.

We don't knock your music nor your phrases, please respect ours.

I think that was a light-hearted jab, we have a sense of humor here too. I'm sure Ray would have gotten a chuckle out of that! I know this is not the video section of the forum but just to enlighten those who don't know this man try this one.. (crank it up for best effect!)

I would had hoped you could see the fun side in this but unfortunately not :( Before anyone else feels heart held I can inform I of course know this great Musician and have big respect. And also of course what underlines in this song. May god bless America

Sometimes i myself sometimes get tired of being in the USA and wish i could move. It is very nice to have a spot to post and have others that are going threw the same restrictions and can understand the frustration. I am sorry if this bothers you .

i have no idea why USA is restricted in online casinos, knowing they had access to MG years back. i would appreciate to be pointed to a specific detailed thread where i can found why this happened. CM being so old, i would also like to see the thread when this happened and people opinions.

Use the search function for the term UIGEA. That should explain what happened to us.

Also, our host, Casinomeister, was born and raised in the United States.

I may be a little cynical of our Government but I believe the reason we got these restrictions is because of how certain things are regulated by the Federal government and other things regulated by the individual State governments.

Our Federal (National) government is only supposed to legislate what is in our Constitution and interactions between the States. Items not covered by that are supposed to be delegated to the States to regulate as they see fit. There has never been and never will be a Federal law forbidding any gambling of any kind unless an amendment is made to the Constitution. However, our Federal government is extremely corrupt and spiteful when it comes to money and favors for the big lobbies.

Basically, they weren't making any tax money from allowing off shore gambling to continue and they are not allowed to regulate it so they went after the banks under the guise of it being a National security issue. Throw in lobbyists from religious organizations (gambling is sinful behavior) and land based casinos (that could be our money) and that was that.

When the Feds pulled the plug they told off shore casinos operating here that if they left right away they would be welcomed back if the environment changed. Intercasino (Cryptologic) was one of the first to leave and as soon as online gambling started here in New Jersey they had a presence at the site managed by Caesars. Microgaming skirted around for a short time after they were supposed to leave so we may not see their games here for quite a while. Off shore casinos still operating here now, mainly RTG, will probably never be welcomed back to the regulated market.

We are finally starting to come around now and once we have a viable product to offer perhaps it will open back up in an International way.

You should be able to find plenty of threads here, search for 'black Friday' or 'UIGEA' and the general consensus was that it really sucked for US players.

It was a nightmare... and remains so to this day. To really get an idea of what happened - the UIGEA, Black Friday, Blue Monday, the arrests of the NETeller founders, and all the other insane crap, go to the Casino Industry Discussion section.... begin in the time frame of late 2006... Here ya go.... HERE ... somewhere in there - and just start reading.

Makes me sick at my stomach remembering... back door politics, extortion, gorilla in the living ....

On MG, I recall reading here some posting by Casinomeister himself that he'd touched base with some of MG's operations people during an online gaming industry conference in London, and they'd suggested that while they would have loved to continue servicing US customers, it became too burdensome. So they eventually pulled out entirely, even as they hung on a couple years after the UIGEA. Sad because like many others, they were my favorite.

Gallup is a Mormon polling enterprise with a well-known bias in favor of conservative and Republican views. I don't trust them for one single minute.

I have no idea about gallup. I never heard that and follow politics closely but polls are usually biased.

Personally I don't buy in to the liberal mind set that conservatives/Republicans are the bane of all evil. Far as I'm concerned they're both destroying America.

While it may suck for usa players not being able to play online like in years past, the Republicans probabally did America a favor (for whatever twisted reason they may have used), as $billions were being sucked out of the US economy god knows going to who.

I know I'm an affiliate and supposed to be promoting casinos but I'm more concerned with my countries' economic well being so I now just support local and usa businesses.

I'm swiss and i live in a very stable and socially state-of-the-art country, still i LOVE the US. I try to travle every year to the US. I have seen around 40 of the 50 states.

The US has so much to offer.... Traveling through the US is so much fun. You have does cultural differences, climate differences, incredibly treatment as a tourist, and lot of stuff (which sometimes is maybe "weird" for some uf os), but thats what makes the US so unique...

And with the amount of landbased casinos (sometimes with over 8000-10'000 slots)... Who needs online gambling?? I never was at a place where it took me more then a one hour drive to find a big casino :)

I'm guessing you missed the few Southern states? :)

And yes, it's really awesome to see an entire city built on the casino industry (Atlantic City, Las Vegas) and it's just wonderful. I'd have to say that AC has nothing on LV though. LV is just on another scale and it's grand as ****.

Yes. you are right.. Northern state is also a good state for music. California is my best choice from my eyes..

I am in a fortunate position to travel as much as I want. I live in Canada but travel in the USA for 2-3 months every year. The USA in my opinion is one of the most diverse beautiful countries in the world. It has everything all rolled up in one country. I love driving through Colorado and Utah. You go from the snow capped Rocky Mountains to the deep canyons cut out like a jigsaw puzzle. To see this from an airplane is awe inspiring and a view I will never forget. The beautiful coast lines of California add more luster to the natural beauty.

Of course I love my own country of Canada but the USA will always hold a special place in my heart.

All countries are beautiful, unfortunately the population on planet earth has been allowed to grow so out of hand that we are slowly strangling this beautiful place.

However a few events over the next couple of years should see to the problem of over population. I was speaking to my uncle whose a scientist and we both agreed that many of the world's negative affects are natural and they are a direct result of over population. That conversation was a real eye opener for me.

However as I said some events that are going to occur over the next coupe of years should see to the problem of over population. Just switch on world news and forget about these "celebrities" that can distract you from many of the world's real issues at hand. All countries are beautiful.

I dont think the title of the thread "America the Beautiful" is meant to be lteral although in fact America is a beautiful country.

I alway thoiught it was meant to be cynical or sarcastic. At least that was my opinion
For example
We are beautiful and free! If I am so free why am I not allowed to lose my hard earned money any way I want and where I want?
Bet they will allow you to lose it in nevada and atlantic city and all those Indian casinos around the county!
I wonder why? this wonderul democracy where the highest bidder gets the vote of the politicans
I could go on and on but in the end I would not live anywhere else well maybe Toronto
