Question Why is it you can still use Auto Play at Casinos in the UK but not online?

Went to mecca bingo last night with some mates and noticed on the machines they all had auto play still and some of the same games I play online which do not offer them, but offer them in the club.

Are the differnt rules for online/land base, As it makes 0 sence why it not both banned or both allowed?

Fair point but on that note they should be having a max bet of £2 with online slots including and roulette or wheel based game.

in a landbased i guess there's certain supervision of someone becoming a problem gambler. With online it's a different experience. I guess there where people who complained losing "soo much money" after hitting the autoplay for a thousand of spins. If i hit autoplay i just on avg hit 30 to 70 spins. If it still does'nt land or hit i move on.

No need to hit 1000 spins really. Ive done a DOA2 session with a 3600 euro budget running at 500 autoplay spins at 9 euro. I woud'nt do that again since it's utterly boring to stick with a game for over 500 spins.

There has always been double standards dished out by the UKGC. You can walk into the Empire, or Hippodrome in London and lose your shirt - and there will never be a SOW check or anything. I remember several years ago when the Guardian and UKGC was getting their panties twisted in knots when there were <gasp> scantly clad ladies at the gaming conference. I was there - and there weren't. There were pole dancers - but not the stripper pole dancers. These dancers were more like Cirque du Soleil dancers, but they used poles instead of ropes hanging from the ceiling.

The UKGC were frothing at the mouths, but if one would have visited the Hipodrome, one would have seen ads posted or projected on the walls of all sorts of bikini clad ladies from slot games and promos. I may have photos in my archives to support that.

It's always been this way. The Internet is treated totally different - red headed step child different.

I suppose it's down to payment partly - in land-based you phsically put notes or coins in and so expenditure is easily monitored, you have to physically get more money from an ATM if losing your wallet's contents (which the casinos kindly supply!) I reckon if you ever had chip-and-PIN or contactless payment on slots, it would be a different matter.

Interesting, also for me if the ukgc mess with the land based model, as much as online, there's a risk the business can't pay it's bills and closes, leaving an empty building in the high street, more tangible and the finger of blame might point back at the ukgc, they also have to have premises to inspect, otherwise some of their work's gone...

I was playing a tournament in genting once over 3 days I swear the same lady (old) was on the same slot over 3 days on auto eating one of the many meals (probably) the casino provided she only looked towards it to load money set spins check a win

Not any more. Landbase will now KYC you on a cash drop of approx more than 2.5k and also SOW you on hitting certain overall drop limits with cards or cash.

Yep I can confirm that one just a few months ago, work mate night out went in, for second time in a month, they wouldn't let him in due what he had spent previous time, they asked what he did for a job & if he could supply evidence for affordability.
