Why the casino made him insolvent (bankrupt)....

I can start off. Casino will always have the advantage in the end and you will lose over many years no matter what you do. Unless you stop playing after a big win and if you have a profit.

I guessed at that but if he was a new player and wants to know how to win then a casino can hardly have bankrupt him or he wouldn't be looking to play at casinos. So is he wanting tips, strategies or good slots to play etc... ???

A good start is to think carefully about what it is you want to get out of your gaming experience.

This may sound elementary, but I believe it helps to have a clear plan and direction, instead of just jumping in head first, and hoping for the best.

Writing down a list may help.

Set realistic goals. Don't expect to win big overnight, or every time you sit down to your next play session. It's not reality! Try and set deposit limits, daily, weekly, or monthly, and only gamble what you can afford to lose. Set time limits as well. Too many hours sitting behind a computer or on a mobile phone, looking at spinning reels, isn't conducive to healthy living.

Decide what type of style of games/features/variance level etc you like, and source them out at an accredited casino listed at casinomeister. You have many good casinos and a wide range of software platforms to choose from.

Once you've got the above sorted out, have fun, first and foremost. Gaming with money should be treated as entertainment, and complement your other hobbies, interests, lifestyle choices etc. and not be taken too seriously.

If your main interest in gaming is wanting to earn a living out if it, or perhaps even becoming a millionaire one day, don't hold your breath! You may want to consider re-evaluating your reason for gaming if this sounds like you.

Having said the above, I have little clue how experienced or inexperienced you really are in your gaming routine. Hopefully you will find this post helpful.

I believe we can all benefit to some extent applying at at least some of the above principles to our gaming lifestyle, on a consistent basis.

    Happy gaming and GL!

    Simple.

Put £10,000 in the bank and you'll have £10,500 (at +5% interest) in a year's time.

A casino pays you -5% interest so you'll have £9,500 after one cycle of £10,000

Now unlike a bank, where the cycle takes a year, you can recycle this in a few hours. After your second cycle, this £9500 will become £9025.

This is what will happen to ALL money you gamble over your lifetime, of course with ups and downs thrown in.
There are two exceptions - win a jackpot and you should stay permanently ahead.
Play Netent, and you'll never get ahead.

Rodrigo, you sound very inexperienced which is a little scary to me, so besides the good advice some of the more senior members will add here, I just want to add some very important advice:

    - Always remember the casino's always win in the end (house edge).

    - ONLY EVER SPEND WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD, AND NEVER SPEND YOUR LAST DOLLAR THINKING YOU CAN DOUBLE IT, AS YOU WILL ALMOST CERTAINLY LOSE IT!

    - Never chase your losses. If you have a bad losing session, stop, think, and take a break.

    - Always gamble responsibly.

    - Familiarize yourself with ALL terms and conditions before depositing or taking bonuses. This also applies to accredited sites. Don't think just because they are accredited or trustworthy that they don't have strict terms.

    - Only play at accredited sites listed here at CM, and be very cautious if signing up to other casinos via various other affiliate sites on the internet, as many have no moral obligations when it comes to promoting rogue outfits. Some members here have affiliate sites attached to their profiles, so I recommend visiting their sites before any others after CM, as you have the added benefit of direct access to them should you encounter any issues.

    - Remember gambling online should be treated as entertainment, and NOT a way to supplement your income or make money.

    - Do not believe anyone who says they have a tried and tested guaranteed way to win at casinos. It's 100% bullshit. There is no sure way to win at casinos. If there was, they wouldn't exist.

    - Do not be fooled into thinking all the big winning screenshots you see on this site is the norm, or will necessarily happen to you. We live in a big world, and CM members make up for a very tiny percentage of the population.

    - For every winner, there are multiple losers.

    - Research, research, research.

    - If it sounds too good to be true, it IS too good to be true.

    - Be aware of fees and charges that may be incurred when depositing at various sites.

I hope some or all of this advice can be some help. Welcome, and good luck.

It's good that you posted this because there seems to be some misunderstanding in general here at the forums when it comes to this.
I often see posts where someone mentions that they expect to lose 5% of the money they deposit, but of course that is only ever true if the money is only turned over/wagered ONCE.

So as you point out it's 5% of total money wagered. Which means that if you play long enough the casino will not get 5% of your money but ALL your money. This is really important to understand and I'm glad that you have pointed it out
