Leo Vegas

Sky Bet

All done checks on me this year, some of them I have not even played at this year, but why are they doing this all of a sudden? MANSION who I don't even play did 2 in 1 day

Don’t they have to let us know they do that?

They have probably emailed at some point but they do it periodically anyway to check that details are still up to date. It's only a soft check so really does absolutely nothing to your credit score.

If that is the case why have all casinos not done this, why specific ones I don't even use? One casino I do use has not run a check.

Some casinos run them in different ways, and depending on the service, a Soft Check might only be performed as a final step if the other steps were not successful, and some might perform them all at the same time.

It really just all depends on who they use to perform their automatic checks :)

Likely from the casino names that these were periodic checks/checks ahead of new rules as all those listed will have fully automated services.

Not your credit history, data we obtain is: identity, age and potential sanctions.

Not according to the credit reference agencies.
Maybe things are different in the UK? When they say doing a soft hit wont impact, it means it wont impact your FICO score. Google up on it maybe? I worked for Equifax and they are world wide, so I cant see their model being any different.

Maybe different in different countries, no idea, but as per Equifax UK page:

"Not every instance of your credit report being checked by a lender will result in a visible ‘footprint’ being left on your report. There is such a thing as a ‘soft credit search’ or a ‘soft credit check’, which is recorded in your credit history, but is not visible to other lenders. This includes things such as identity checks and quotations, where a company confirms the details you have provided are correct when offering you a quote."

Hi,

As a licenced operator we conduct soft checks on customers purely for confirming the validity of the personal details that may be registered with us. This practice is in line with the UKGC’s requirements and guidelines, and has been adopted as a mechanism ensuring compliance with the same. Additionally, considering that there are no per se detrimental effects to the individuals subjected to this type of soft checks, it remains as the preferred method and one that has cemented its position as an industry standard for verifying customers’ age in the gambling industry.

Regards,
Mansion.

Hey

How about carrying soft check for self-excluded player as somebody mentioned in one thread (was not your company far as i can remember but in general) here? Assume that operators are not or should not conduct any checks for self-excluded players at least until it's expired?

One member raised that concern as he have gambling problem where getting help and have self-excluded through Gamstop, butt this kind of check can be quite harmful when spouse for example can see gambling company name there even person haven't played for long time. Also not great for problem gambler either to even see company name anywhere when trying to avoid everything gambling related.

Is it not now the case that it was easy for casinos to enforce the new Verification Rules as the data was already being checked using a "soft check"? Of course this "soft check data" was never used again until a withdrawal was going through...then problems were found.

A total of 8 EVERYMATRIX records on my credit profile in the last year, the most recent being last week.
