Who`s up for a party?:).

Painting the town Blue

I'm a little ashamed to admit this might be the first Friday I've gone out on the town in a year. Don't get me wrong, I go to Rama for concerts, I went to Malta last year, lunch with my girlfriends and have friends over for dinner and/or drinks.

But I haven't missed a year yet. If you are driving distance, it's well worth the visit to K-Town.

In addition to the main stage concerts, there's music in the park all afternoon. It was pretty idyllic down there yesterday, with the boats and waterfront, blue skies and breezes, children playing and people dancing. Your $10 bracelet gets you admission to a whole bunch of clubs all featuring blues.

Here's a vid from yesterday afternoon.

I`m sitting here incredibly bored and really cba to have a gamble atm, soooooooooo, I thought it might be fun to have a fora type party, come in get drunk/stoned whatever and let your hair down ;).

As with any party a specific theme can make it a whole heap more fun, fancy dress although great fun (Mmm French Maids, Naughty Nurses, Sexy Secretary outfits, it`s great when the girls dress up also :eek2:) wouldn`t work here, but, what will however, is - Your most embarrassing story ever, if this works and the night goes on with stories getting more and more outrageous by the minute upto the extent that when people read what they revealed in a few days time they will be cringing for a very long time to come, including me, if, there is enough input for me to step forward and reveal mine, which I will nigh on guarantee will not be beaten, not even close, but that however is entirely down to you guys and your stories.

So come on guys let the party begin ;).

partys my middle name...its not common knowledge aka patsy party pants..

It`s the weekend \o/, have to pop out for a bit now

That's what she said...

I'm feeling good too Roy, my youngest went through surgery yesterday and all went well, was too tired to have a drink last night (was at the hospital most of the day, with no food or drink) so I'm having a small celebratory drink today.

So glad to hear that everything is going good for you and your father

So sorry to hear you have sorrow going on right now Roy. I've faced my own heartaches enough, but somehow the sun always rises and we go on.

Here's hoping today is a better day.

Aww ty hunny /huggle, my life is relatively ok atm, it was intended for a few others who are going through some rough patches atm, but thank you anyway hun ;).

Damn it`s all dusty and cobwebby in here, I thought I would post here (in the hope of getting some serious cuddling attention ;), rather than start another thread).

The last two-three weeks of my life - Firstly, my Father lost his battle for life, we bury him Thursday week, the second very close family member i`ve lost to that bastard disease this year, the other being my beloved, angelic 4 year old grandson Mackenzie.........

My daughter Dan (Danielle) truly is an inspiration, how the hell she is coping with this so well is beyond me, here`s to you and Jay princess for keeping it together after an Earth shattering experience.

A few weeks ago I bought a 2nd hand laptop for £250, a Toshiba Satellite E-Series chip with windows 7, 4 gig of RAM, etc, etc, I was using it one night when the cursor started to behave weird, going in the opposite direction to where it should have gone, a few seconds later some weird icons appeared on my desktop, I right clicked on one as to delete it, then it multiplied, so I tried to drag one into the recycling bin and every icon on my desktop was linked together, I rebooted and it looked like the screen resolution was 60 x 60 pixels and 2 colours, no icons had names under them, and when I clicked start there was nothing there, then poof, blue screen of death, I tried to restart but nothing, I couldn`t even get into BIOS, I gave it to a good friend of mine to look at and he said basically everything was fried, and it would far outweigh it`s worth to replace everything, how the hell can a virus or whatever do this?, I know if write to BIOS is enabled they can change settings like increasing the voltage etcetera, but meh, it`s f*&%£d now.

Then my fridge freezer broke, and washing machine.

So, I turned P.C. on and was greeted by this... Windows XP could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM, so I logged onto the recovery console and tried to repair the windows installation, after several possible remedies including a very long drawn out affair of copying the registry etcetera and using system restore, which failed abysmally, I conceded defeat and had to format and reinstall windows, in doing so losing around 4 years worth of stuff.

Today, I turned P.C. on, no internet, I rang MY ISP up and after the normal mandatory possible remedies it was assessed that the wifi part of the modem was fubared, but, I was reassured that whilst waiting till my new modem turned up (Friday) I could use an Ethernet connection, tried, didn`t work, tried using my mobile, both the wifi and tethering failed, so, trying to keep my patience I turned on the old laptop I had restored, np`s whatsoever in connecting via wifi, so I thought I would use the laptop`s USB wifi adapter on my P.C. installed drivers, still no connection. trawled the net on the laptop forever looking for answers, gave up, reinstalled windows once again, now it`s working.

I`m no IT boffin, far from it, but in all my years of having a P.C. there has never been a virus I didn`t beat or a software/hardware problem I couldn`t solve, in the past few weeks i`ve been steam-rolled three times :(.

I need a cuddle please :).

Roy, I and MANY are here for you. You and your family have been through so much.

You have a HUGE sense of humour and you must know that we love you....regardless of the topless avatar and the sex mind that you have..;)..(I hope that you know that I am trying to levitate to your comedic and spiritual level and can 'speak through pain' without sounding so down).

I am here for you as well as many. Big hug for you..(((((Roy)))))))

Aww Roy, I haven't been on much recently, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad, here's a big hug from me, I do wish things will get better for you, you brighten up so many members days on here, the least we can try to do is brighten up yours.

Lots of love and hugs and kisses,

Mary xoxoxox

Roy

It just sucks mate. I'm so sorry about all the shitty things that are happening.

I do believe in the universe putting things right in its own way, and you're a good bloke, so something good will be headed your way real soon.

I'm planning a UK trip next year, and you'll be my first port of call (if you'll have me of course).

Chin up :)

Thanks loads bud, and yes, sooner or later karma will reverse in my favour, and you`ll be most welcomed around my neck of the woods, in fact, if you`re nowhere near my neck of the woods i`ll travel and meet up with ya ;).

That`s the spirit girls , i`ll start us off with a very close friends story (yep we do this a lot around here especially when bored at work etc ;)).

He was around 18-19 and had just finished work on a Friday and came home to an empty house, had a shower and was lying on his bed with just a towel wrapped around him, he reached for his headphones and pressed play on his CD-Player and Luther Vandross came on, the same CD he had been listening to a few nights previously when he had brought home a very accommodating and none shy Essex lass (do shy ones exist?), anyway`s there he is listening to Luther, eyes closed, being reminded of his great night of passion from a few days ago, and done what comes naturally (pardon the pun), lying there for a while until the CD finished and opening his eyes to change the CD, and almost screaming upon noticing a hot cup of tea beside his HI-FI.

How many mum`s would have just closed the bedroom door and not left the tea there lol?, not her, she was and still is to this day a terrific woman with a fantastic sense of humour ;).

:D:D Great story, unbeatable! Unfortunately, not drunk enough to share any of mine embarrassing adventures. I appreciate your spirit though, thanks!
