What's your longest dry spell playing a slot without hitting a feature?

It seems that lately I am becoming the king of the "Free spin/Bonus Feature" dry spell sessions. I am just wondering how many others are gluttons for punishment like myself and how many spins you endured to get that set of free spins or bonus feature.

Yes, I know I/we shouldn't do it and a person should cut their loss but I am sure everyone that has played slots has been guilty of it in the past and will be in the future also. I didn't want to start an advice thread so to cut down the clutter there is no need to respond with advice on how or when to stop lol :).

I am just wondering how many others can remember that long dry spell and which slot it was on. I can't remember exactly the number of spins on each so I will estimate.

For me I have had several and I am sure I will have more but these stand out.

Santa Paws: 700 spins hit the free spins after dropping $750 and got back like 45 bucks. (I have never played it again)

Thunderstruck: It was well over 800 spins and I said the heck with it upped it to 9 bucks a spin and hit the free spins for a grand and broke even.

Flying Circus, well over 500 spins, hit the free spins and it retriggered bringing me back half what I had in it.

Witch Doctor: it was nearing 800 before I hit the free spins, I had upped my bet so I broke about even.

I am sure there are many more, I chased a loss on Ho Ho Ho to the tune of -$2600 but I hit several free spins along that downhill ride so it doesn't fit this thread.

So, anyone else care to share their experiences? Please tell me I am not alone lol.

Thunderstruck - 1076 spins, 3 redeposits....I was NOT leaving that game until they came, lol. When it finally came, it paid shit...of course!!

Funny you mention Witch Doctor. One of my favourites, but it's one of those games that is either red hot or ice cold. The free spins either come quickly and in bunches, or you can routinely go 4-500 spins with nothing. Dino Might is another one....gives me fits sometimes. Think I've gone about 600 spins on that with no feature.

Lady of the Orient... 400 @$4 = squat! Karma for all the times she was belly belly good to me I guess.

Flying circus broke me more than once, well over 500. I won't even touch that game in free mode now.

Mermaids Millions and Jungle Jim have each gone over 400 without free spins.

Not so much about how many spins but how many dollars... Tom Braider took thousands from me before I figured out a 'strategy' of sorts. I don't think I've ever gone more than 300 to get the free spins.

It's called being hard headed and determined to come out on top even if you lose getting there. Been there and done it so many more times than even I care to remember (or admit)!

I went 2 whole weeks without hitting a single feature on a single slot! There's a lot to be said for holidays :D

Seriously though, I don't count anymore - I've had long sessions without features fairly recently (last 3 months) but I don't torment myself with the numbers. When I did, I had a few 700+ spells on Tstruck, Ladies Nite and SB.

How about never.

How about never getting them!

One session on Thunderstruck went over 1000 spins, and I increased bets towards the end figuring they had to come soon. In the end, I hit 5 wild hammers and got back my entire session loss, but still no free spins. That was enough for me, and shortly after I quit.
It does seem that sometimes the slots will settle into a dry mode where endless spins will not trigger the feature, or if triggered it yields nothing followed by another long dry spell. Recently, I have had 5 Rams four times in as many weeks, all at low bet sizes. It certainly seems that this slot clusters wins and losses more than might seem appropriate for a random game.

One session that did really shock me though was a recent 600+ dry run on Munchkins, which was followed by another 400+ dry run after a pretty crap bonus round. This is most "unmunchkinlike" behaviour, as I find intervals between bonus rounds generally a little less than Thunderstruck, with 300 to 400 the most it normally takes, with many clusters of 40 or less between bonus rounds.

Thank you to everyone that replied, I don't feel so alone in the dry spells any longer. I used to get upset when the slot just wouldn't hit, I am getting a lot better at just taking a loss but there are some sessions that I just have to see that feature for some reason lol.

The other night on Thunderstruck, I hit a nice single spin early which put me up 100, I knew I should have stopped but I wanted to see the free spins so I wittled away my profit, went below my original starting point, hit the free spins and I was even. The funny thing is I felt more satisfied than if I would have just quit when I was in the positive.

Wow! You guys have alot more patience, and apparently a bigger bankroll to tolerate that many spins with no feature. I usually play 150 or spins on any one machine and if I don't hit I move on to the next one.
In my experience the longer you are spinning the crappier the free spin win is going to be when and if you ever hit it.

I think I'm working on it right now!

I had an "overbalance" on an RTG casino after finishing the WR on a free chip, and dedicated $40 on the Enchanted Garden slot. Eventually ran out on that, but wanted to see what the feature was on the scatters.

When I ran out of that, I switched to play mode. It's been running in the background and I'm just waiting for racket.

Been about an hour so far, how much time is it per spin?

Edit: just triggered it. About 1.5 hours maybe? Bonus was just like very other RTG bonus. The $1 play money spin turned into a $23.50 play money win.

Letdown.

Not the sort of thing I record really, and I don't have the stomach to keep going for more than about 300-400 spins with no feature - I would 'bail out'.

The worst one I can find from recently was on Paradise Dreams (RTG); 350 spins & $269 gone

At MG I find it very rare to go over 250 spins without hitting a feature, but when it does it can really hammer your bankroll. Harveys in Feb: 245 spins & $102 blown away! :eek2:

I shit you not bro. A guy was playing blue chips. he told me when i came back it went 17-17 skip-17 That has got to be worse than any slot miss :D

And I blame you!
No one knows what it's like to be the......

OT
I spent three hours on the tables, but that was the moment, unmfff!~
I walked over to my girl at a console and said oh my f*ckinggod, that is about enough to make a man quit gambling, omfg ';m sick to my stomach omg, og oh my emmer effing gawd.

are you overdosing on your Flintstone Vitamins again lojo? Better have your Mom put them on a higher shelf in the meds cabinet. ;) just kidding of course.
Bet you scared the bejesus out of that poor girl huh?

reetahs- I have gone for long dry spells and even gone back and forth and back and forth between the different games and still never hit the elusive free spins. My experiences mirror everyone elses that has replied so I guess
that means they truly are random?
BTW-- for some reason I cannot make myself exit the casino and leave credits for another day. When I want to gamble I REALLY want to gamble. Do you have more will power?

Nah, trips, she just looked at me and shook her head, real slow like a donkey or a monkey in a hotsprings.

I better get me bum over to wild cards, I'm not fit to post, someone just said slots aren't real and turned my world upside down. Felt like I was in a Steve Buscemi movie and he just said, "Well, you know, when you want something really bad and you close your eyes and you wish for it? God's the guy that ignores you."

So, I'm a freak:D

MOM I wanna blue one today!

LOL- you are a good sport lojo!!! Have you ever played any other slots besides the bonus video slots? I have had some pretty good luck on Couch Potato, Jungle 7's, and Cool Buck. They can also be drier than a popcorn fart but oft times they pay very well. Good luck and I hope you can post a screen shot soon of a big JP win! :D

I like cash clams and that ruby thingy. I've got a few screenies on hd, but they're not from accredited casinos so I don't post them. Playcheck only holds for 21 days at the casinos I've tried to time travel in and I haven't been wheeling much on MG since January. You will see five roger roosters in the thead though :D

whoooee Cool!

I'm a Taurus Silc, what can I say? I am the typical Bull, as hard-headed and obstinate and stubborn as they come, and God help you if I KNOW I'm right about something...lmao. But I also have the good qualities that Taureans are known for as well...so I guess (hope) it balances out.

Wow KK - 52 quid, that must of hurt!

Did you receive proper counselling?

I really hope you are ok and not too traumatised by this terrible experience.

I feel for you.

Shocking, truly shocking.
xx

He he he....

Sorry KK, lol. Thanks for the welcome back BTW.

The amazing thing was that you were only betting 40 cents a spin!

Normally, I'm pretty good about leaving with a win (or a loss), I usually play for a certain amount of time.
However, last weekend, I was experimenting with Video Poker at a B&M. I sat down with the express intention of playing until my $90 was lost. And it was going pretty slowly, since I had to study my little strategy card once in a while. Anyway, I hit something, and win about $250. Woman next to me gets all excited, and comments on the size of the win. I grimly responded "Whatever, I'm not here to win." It was a little bit surreal.

The worst from me was on "King Solomons" where i'd lost $ 400.- with a $ 1.- bet on "Cleopatra's Gold", so it must be 600 spins, without any feature!

Today i'd also a very bad experience on "The Gaming Club" with my favourite MG Slot "Loaded"

i started with € 200.- and get only after 350 spins my first free spins, but there i was down on € 24.- and my win was also only 24.- and after that my balance went down on zero within the next 80 spins without any good win!

I think soemtimes it's not really fair!

Okay, it's certainly always better, when we all win, but if i lose so much money, then i will have also the feeling, that i maybe have a little chance, to win something.

The same is on "Dolphin Tales"

I played there yesterday on Cinema Casino with 250 spins (€ 150.-) and then my money was away, because there was no good win on it and certainly no free spins!

Hi

Just wanting to ask is this thread joke or what? ;) I have hit features more times I can count in 2 days. I have probably done something like 200 spins total. Played 4 or 5 different slots in 2 casinos.

I have also read from net/forums about strategies etc. Anyone have anything to add?
1. If you loose 60% of your roll then quit.
2. If you dont get anything in 7-10 spins then exit that slot.
3. Have some betting strategy (still trying to figure out best one)

Still thinking maybe I should change 2. to "anything major".

Or it could be that I have been lucky? :)
