I have the choise of playing VP with a bad paytable or tripple my WR playing Blackjack at Lasseters. Which option is the better?

WR is 640$ for VP

VP paytable:
RSF 500
Str8 flush 45
4ok 25
Full house 8
Flush 6
Str8 4
3 of a kind 3
2 pair 2
JorB 1

WR is 1920$ for BJ

Which option is better?

Edit: If it makes any difference: I have 150$

Took your advice - flatbetting 5$

I suddenly remembered why I stopped playing at Lasseters. Their blackjack is playing real strange and you just KNOW your going to loose... Playing a very stable return of 92%.......

Out of money just 20$ short of meeting the WR.

It is a pretty straight line from start till finish. Just one looooooooong stable loosing streak... Last time I played a Lasseters, it was exact same story - a brief re-visit, and now I'm closing my account!!!

OUCH. THAT is ugly.

The only way I won at Lasseters is by flatbetting $5, eventually getting so pissed off from losing over and over and over that I put $266 on one bet (all-in) and hit a blackjack.

Am always scared with the all in bets because what you do if you get 2 8's against 5,6?

Be glad you're all in, so you couldn't afford the split and feel doubly screwed?

If I end up all in with 2 8's against 2-6 I dont know about you but am going for a WAR bro :D. Cashier am coming :xxx

I know I might bust up but that's gamble :D

At online casinos having 88 against dealer six is normal. You will have many of these cases. In this case you will always (near 80% times) lose.
Think about it.... that's online gamble !

Sorry but i feel that you are biased.

Lasseters

Look under Rules before playing the game. You will find the official payout percentage as determined by the Australian Regulatory board. Their VP (Jacks or Better) is worse than the above post, it's about 94.5% - this is worse than the slots!!!
The other VP machines are about 98% which is better. A full pay J or B should be 99.5%, and would normally be the best VP to play.
I was also taken out on the Blackjack. It actually uses an 'infinite deck' model. Look at Wizardofodds for a review and strategy chart. Should you win they have to send the first withdrawal by cheque, from Australia! I'm still ticking along nicely in Ausvegas though. I've made my deposit bonus last for about 4 months! I just can't face the hassle of a dollar cheque, which will cost me 25 to bank.

I don't want to curtail the fun... :D but if you withdraw they'll automatically send you a cheque in GBP (at a good exchange rate) and despite coming from down under you'll have it in a week or two.

A week or 2 is still a lot folk.We got william hill,32red etc. in the UK which they pay to debit cards within 2-3days.Why the hassle with other casinos in the other side of the world.

GBP is fine!

Phew!
They don't actually say that!
It's a dollar casino, so I assumed the default would be a dollar cheque. It's Ausvegas that I may be withdrawing from, but it's the same group. I admire their honesty, not many with a 94.5% JorB VP would admit it!! (We'd find out the hard way). Although, given that the figure is lower than the theoretical yield given the paytable... is it a fair game, or a slot in disguise.

You are with the wrong bank. Nationwide Building Society only charges 6.50. If you get a lot of US$ cheques, you should consider Citibank. As long as your average total balance in your accounts is at least 2000, you can have a US$ account free, and there is only a 0.9% charge on converting from one currency to another, which is at least as good as the exchange rate you would get elsewhere. You can also have a debit card which you can use in the US.

Can I ask them to send me a cheque in US$? Unless they convert it at the interbank rate, I am better off if they don't convert it at all.

Bonuses, of course :D I agree the house edge at Lasseters/Aus Vegas is too high, but apart from that they seem to be well run. The hassle with the first withdrawal is similar to waiting for an e-cash pin number. After that you can use Neteller.

I'm not sure if they'd send a cheque in USD to the UK, but they have a good live chat facility so it would be easy to ask them. The rate when I got a cheque was very close to the one given at:
