What is going on with Dama NV?

Hey all,

I am just curious about this so if anyone knows for sure maybe they can shed more light.

It appears there has been a change for some entities and rebranded from Dama NV to Novatrix SL. The main difference I can see is that Novatrix SL is licensed under Costa Rica.

Is this change for all of their properties or only some?

Alot of casinos have left and parted from Dama NV because of how they handled previous lawsuits and numerous other issues. luckyfox used to be dama and they left them because of it.

So it could have to do with its name (dama nv) being dragged through the mud with all the lawsuits and government warnings against them. Also being tied to the Wirecard bs. It has a pretty bad reputation when searching about them as a company. So likely wanted to escape the bad name they are getting and change it up.



Thats just a guess though.

Too early to tell at the moment, but I am aware of at least one brand moving over to Novatrix SL and onto a non-existant license under Costa Rica.

My guess is that this has something to do with Dama sticking it out in Australia and maybe the Australian gov have put the thumb screws on Curacao - but that is very much a guess.

The Australian government has been giving Dama warning's for a number of years. I'm surprised a big group like Dama continued business as most other groups left years ago.
Dama just got too big and stopped caring about its players unfortunately. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes belly up soon.

I'm not surprised. If you have the balls to hang in there, then the Australian market is one of the most lucrative gambling markets on the planet. @spindoctor99, you will know better than me, but the way I see it:

a nation of gamblers + minimal competition = rich rewards beyond your wildest dreams

The only problem is you may have to avoid travel to certain countries, stay well lawyered up, and brazen it out for as long as you possibly can.

Yeah Australians are a nation of degenerate gamblers. I can see why Dama did stay and to be honest I don't know how the government can dictate to companies in other countries who they can provide a service to.

Go into any pub here and its like a mini casino so I guess the government wanted to protect those companies as they pay taxes here. Its all about the money.

I.highly doubt they are in any trouble of filing for bankruptcy. They have probably the biggest hold of all "overseas" companies in online gambling.

Aye there are so many sites that use the SoftSwiss platform and if you sign up too many they will ban you from them all so the best thing to do is find the ones with the best terms and the best reloads and play there. If anyone chooses to play at one of their capped site they are just depriving themselves of better experiences.

I wouldn’t want to speculate of the reasons for the license change but what I do know is that there’s talk that Tobique has apparently shown a high degree of professionalism in setting up the new casino grouping. Time will tell of course but people with A LOT of experience in these things are saying good things.

I did notice other notable casinos that had changed to tobique rather than Anjouan, not to mention the novatrix addition. That kinda stuff always made me rank tobique above Anjouan in my head.


As for GBL Solutions (Curacao) / Fionex Holdings (Anjouan), those guys have no platform relation to SoftSwiss/Dama. As for any payment processor or individuals who own the companies, I have no idea but doubt it.

Just sharing in case you don't know Costa Rica does not issue a gambling license. Casinos that list they are licensed there literally means that they are registered as a company there and there's absolutely no regulations so the environment is better than Curacao for scams. Basically the only thing that casinos there have to follow as a rule is not to allow people from Costa Rica to register/play in their casinos and they can scam however they want. Never trust there casinos in terms of DAMA N.V(Novatrix) their license is Tobique Gaming Commission which is Canadian. But honestly, I suggest avoiding their casinos as well. Literally all their casinos are now focusing on ripping of the players. They're successfully hiding it in the big casino affiliate website by posting fake positive reviews but they can't do the same in Trustpilot because most of the fake reviews get deleted so you will see how many people have been unfairly screwed over. This includes casinos managed by other of their companies under the same umbrella like Aveazure SRL, Hollycorn N.V. Casinos, and even N1 Interactive ltd.
